Got this for my husband to use at his job. He works in a warehouse that gets very hot in the spring, summer. He said it works, has good airflow and keeps him cool. The only problem is that it’s bulky specifically when you have to move a lot. On the highest speed it gets pretty noisy.

It was easy to turn on. Just press the button! It’s kind of loud, even at speed 1. It gets progressively louder and of course, speed 5 is the loudest. I have it snug against the back of my neck and it’s hitting my the bottom of my chin, mostly on the left side for some reason. On my right side, it feels like it’s just missing me entirely. My family likes white noise so I guess the sound (which is definitely a white noise) is good. It reminds me of a quiet jet engine. Like I’m an airplane with good earplugs or something. Oh, I moved a bit and now it’s hitting my left earlobe and my right jaw. Interesting. The pitch changes when I move, even thought it’s still on five. It’s not drying out my eyes at all (yay!) I realized that I had it on upside down. I fixed it and put it on so that the power button is on the right. Now it’s freezing off both my earlobes and both sides of my face at speed 1. It really makes a difference! Now the pitch does’t change when I move. My ears got too cold and I had to take it off. This gave me the chance to take a good look at it and notice that the inside of the left end has a big “L” on it while the right has an “R”. Oh, facepalm. Well, at least I got it right in the end! It’s cold (Well the air conditioning is on and the room temp is 76F right now, so that makes sense)! Mine is white and came with some odd black discolorations (see closeup. I took the pictures right out of the box and before I used it). It’s smooth all over without any lines of flash that can scratch. The middle of the neck feels like silicone. The ends are hard plastic. I like the way you can adjust the top band to make it bigger and smaller. I dislike how I have to cycle through all five fan speeds to turn it off (I mess up if I go too fast and then it’s on 1 or 2 and I have to click more). All in all, Flamingo likes it!
- Scott & Sage Pooler2024-04-25I really like the flexible neck opening but the fan speed is minimal
As I said in the title, the way that this neck fan easily flexes to accomodate all neck sizes if the best feature of this unit. Unfortunately that is where the winning features end. 1st, the control button to turn on/off and change the fan speed is awkwardly placed on the right rear back side of the unit and isn't easily found when wearing the unit. 2nd, changing from fan speed (1) to fan speed (5) is not significant. I currently own three of these neck fan units and this AbuDodo unit is the weakest of all 3. This unit may cools an office person but if you are outside in the heat of Florida, I would suggest that you may be disappointed in this purchase.
- Willy2024-04-22It will cool you off, however are some issues
The fan works and it cools you off very well. I'm the house it seems a bit loud, but if you're outside it's not bad at all unless you ramp it up to level 4 or 5. To me it's still not bad since I have food trucks so something is always making noise and it's always hot. Why 4 stars? It feels a bit cheap to me and honestly I think I would have looked past that if the presentation was better. It was literally just put in a box with a charger and instructions. No padding, paper, toilet paper, stickers to keep it in place...nothing. Also, a big issue for me is the charger. It uses the old school chargers for the older Androids and Kindles. Not type C like almost everyone has moved on to. So hold on to your charger cord for dear life or you'll be upset when the battery runs out and it's 97 degrees F outside. For the price, with the coupon, you'll be happy with it for the most part.
- Alex P.2024-06-12Amazing for airline travel!
This little neck fan was a godsend on a recent summer trip. The airplane was so stuffy, and then I turned this on and felt so much relief and comfort. The battery lasts hours and it is not very noisy. It just sounds like a fan whoosh noise. Many people asked where I got it and I told them. This would make a great gift for someone who travels a lot.
- Robert Thompson2024-04-23the Dirty and Noisy Neck Fan
My recent purchase of the Neck Fan was disappointing. Upon arrival, it was dirty and clearly used before. Additionally, the fan is excessively loud, making it impractical for use in public or while working. Overall, I cannot recommend this product due to its poor condition and noisy operation.
- Amazon Customer2024-05-01A little heavy
I have a lot of personal fans (pretty much one in each room and my car), and a couple neck fans. This one is nice because it's a lower profile than the other one I use (that one has a big round fan on each end), but it's a bit heavier. I wear these for exercise walking, and this one is not as comfortable due to the weight. I'll still use it, but mostly when the other one is charging. This will be great at an outdoor sports event where I'm just sitting and not exercising.
- JCAPO2024-04-26Will do the job
Most neck fans are very one dimensional, using varying speeds to raise the level of coolness. This one does that and at a pretty good rate. It's also lightweight and allows to bend around your neck more the average one. It can be loud so be prepared for that. As for durability, that is always the question when it comes to many of these products. Mine arrived in a plain brown box clearly intended for the Asian market and it does feel a little on the cheaply made side. But time will tell and I plan on giving it some extended use down here in Florida so expect an update if it doesn't deliver at least average performance.
- SMMcD2024-04-21Seems to work, good airflow
I overheat easily but have chores that are necessary for me to be outside on occasion. With warm weather coming, I wanted to try out one of these cooling fans. So far this has been good. It has a decent amount of airflow and isn’t too heavy on my neck. I use it in conjunction with other sun protection (hat/shade tent) and cooling items such as cooling towels. For my situation, this has helped immensely. I had my husband try it alone and he commented it was a nice light breeze which had him feeling cooler all on its own. Overall nice item and I feel a good value for the money.
