- D. C. Ellis2023-12-04UPDATED: One of the 140mm fans doesn’t work
I haven’t been able to build a pc in over 10 years, so I was pretty excited to put one together. I ordered the Montech X3 Mesh & I was initially pretty happy with it… until after I spent several days putting everything together & discovered that the front middle fan isn’t spinning, although the LEDs work. As far as everything else, I think it’s a great case for the sale price of $50. UPDATE: After contacting the seller Skytech, they offered me a partial refund because of the non-working fan. They also gave me an email address for the manufacturer Montech. After communicating with them via email, they sent me a replacement fan which arrived today. I haven’t tried replacing the defective fan yet, but I’m trusting that the new one will work. Overall, an excellent customer service experience in dealing with both companies. Changing my rating to add another star 👍 UPDATE #2: Montech did send me another fan, but it’s not the same one. It’s a 2-wire instead of 3-wire (which means it can’t be monitored/controlled by the mobo or software) & the LED lights are different enough that it’s noticeable. Not the end of the world & I do appreciate the fact that they sent one. Negatives: •Took 1 week to receive, which is a bit much •1 fan doesn’t spin (replaced)* •Fans are LED & not addressable RGB as the pictures might lead some to believe (although this is pretty clearly stated). •Fans have older style Molex connections that are all daisy chained together. •Cabling is fairly inelegant & comes held together with metal twist ties. •No PC speaker. •Materials aren’t the greatest. The gauge of the metal is pretty thin & a bit flimsy. •No rubber grommets in the cabling passthroughs •It’s perhaps a bit small for some ATX builds Positives: •Although the geometric aesthetic seems heavily “inspired” by Fractal brand cases, it’s a nice looking case regardless. •Pretty quiet at idle considering the 6 original case fans, the 2 additional fans I added & a 3 fan GPU •Good, simple design of the side panel, which is easily removable by just lifting it off, although the nylon ribbon loop used as a handle might turn some people off. •Side panel is tempered glass instead of plexiglass/plastic. •Small-ish mid tower case, but ATX motherboard, top mounted radiator in a push/pull configuration, 3 140mm, 5 120mm fans, a Corsair RM750 PSU & a 303mm Radeon 6650xt 3 fan GPU all fit in a nice looking package (although connecting the wiring & cable management is a bit of a chore). •Good airflow •It has a decent magnetic dust filter on the top, although that’s actually not great for airflow & will actually trap dust & restrict the hot air that you want to exhaust from your case. •I’ve seen some reviews that complain about the rear expansion card slots being the cheap kind that you have to bend or cut to remove, but the ones I removed when installing a GPU were secured with a slot & screw (much better). •Although the specs say it officially supports GPU’s up to 303mm I managed to squeeze in an MSI Gaming X Trio GeForce RTX 3080 which is 323mm with maybe even a couple of mm’s to spare. Conclusion: *After living with this case for about a month & the experiences that I had with both the seller & manufacturer, I’m adding the 5th star to my rating. It’s more of a budget case so you can’t expect perfection, but for $50 it’s an extremely good case & continues to perform very well.

This is one of the most feature-rich high-airflow cases you can get on a budget. The magnetic glass door which comes off without any screws is amazing, makes cleaning the case a breeze. The mesh front does a good job keeping dust and cat hair out of the system without sacrificing too much airflow. The fans included are fine, the molex centipede in the back is a bit of a pain to cable manage, but they leave you plenty of room to do it. As much as the back ports have pop-out designs for the PCIE slots, you can easily just slot the unused GPU ones back in, making it kind of a non-issue. If you're an enthusiast who wants the best RGB and fan control, this isn't the case for you, the RGB is static and the fans are too. But for the price, it's frankly unbeatable. A bit thin and flimsy in places, but a pleasure to build in, great size, great airflow, and, again, price tag.
- Tim2023-12-23Easy to build in, aesthetically pleasing, great airflow.
Overall, for the price, a decent case that looks good without breaking the bank. As with anything, you get what you pay for, and this is not a top-tier case by any means... but it gets the job done without being a cheap eyesore. Easy to build in, room for future expansion, great airflow, is what it is for the price. Downsides: Fans and I/O. Very small and recessed buttons for RGB on/off and reset. Only one USB 3 and two USB 2 ports. Fans are...well, case fans. No speed control and no RGB control beyond on/off. Molex fans suck. Shipping from these guys was great! Came in a week faster than expected, and during the holiday season. Outstanding!
- Ambar Reyes2022-08-17It is a beautiful case
It arrived safely packed, I had no problem taking it out off the box. This is my first ever case to build and I did not have many problems. Screws are included and 3 screw adapters are also included for Micro ATX motherboards like in my case, therefore my Micro ATX fitted perfectly. The fans aren't very loud, they are pretty silent considering the amount of air the three 140mm fans in the front are taking in. The rgb lights in the fans are fixed lights and cannot be changed, only turned on or off which is a bummer but you quickly forget about it lol. I had a bit of trouble organizing all the cables, it really was a bit if a mess but with patience you can squeeze everything in. There're plenty of space for the PSU to go in as well and there's a small mesh below it for the fan. On the top of the PC there's a dust filter which you can remove and I recommend so the exhaust fans can pull out air easier. The quality of the case is OK, the metal is pretty thin so you need to be careful with it. The tempered glass door can be taken out and it doesn't need to be unscrewed or anything because it has a small fabric to open the door too. I couldn't add the built in wifi adapter that my pre build pc had so that's also a bummer, or maybe I can add it but I can't remove the back metals under the GPU. This is a very beautiful pc case overall and I recommend it for beginners like myself that don't have a lot of big things in it. If you have lots of bigger parts then this case isn't very spacious, I would reconsider something bigger.
- Jeffery Baker2023-12-12Good budget case
I am really pleased with the case for the $70 price. The included case fans are molex, non adjustable speed rainbow rgb but they run fine and arent too loud. The case is pretty good quality for the price. Built my nephew a budget ryzen gaming system with no issues. stand offs came pre installed with 3 extras and a adequate amount of screws with extras. Was able to fit a MSI ATX b550 Tomahawk motherboard, thermaltake smart 700 watt psu, corsair h60 120mm aio, snd rx6600 with no clearance issues. The hinged tempered glass side panel is a really nice feature and opened and snapped shut easily.Had a issue with Fedex shipping and unreliable tracking updates but the seller Skytech responded fast and resolved the issue. Major props to Skytech customer support, they were great! Really nice budget ATX case. Would buy another Montech case, quality was on par for the price point and the case arrived in good shape.
- Kr2024-03-31Frustrating for first time PC Builder
This case is great. It feels made of sturdy material, and the parts are easy enough to put together... once I get my neophyte wrapped around it. I want to be clear - I am not new to computers. I have disassembled and reassembled and upgraded and repaired a fair amount in my free, hobbyist time. However none of them were custom builds, merely OEM builds. For this case there aren't any real instructions to follow and I had to cobble together what to do from review articles and videos. The way to install drives is confusing as heck, but once I found an article that showed, not told, SHOWED how it looks once assembled without explanation, I got it down. Cable management is a little frustrating as well. There are holes in the frame to route the wires, but it's very much a mess for a first timer. Then there's the included wires for the power, usb, and LED lights which drove me insane trying to get their small jacks lined up with the pins of my motherboard, wherein I had to turn to the manual of the MB (B550 M VC, which also suffers from a lack of instructions and new user friendliness, requiring I turn to an internet search to find them) to find which pins went where, only to have that not work. Reviewing the case on its obvious merits, I like it. The fans I haven't been able to get work, but they're there. And I'm sure they will be better than no fans at all. The case is sturdy and has a fair amount of ports and peripheral jacks on itself too, numbering at 3 USB (one 3.0, two 2.0) and two audio jacks. That's nice and convenient. It is also quite spacious. Just frustrating for a newbie. Will update review as I work out the confusion.
- Akuvi AGBO ATCHON2023-12-09Good Price, Good Case
This PC Case is really good for its price (I paid 50$). My problems with it: The top buttons are a little small (the led and start buttons for the fans) The power supply was a little difficult to install cause you had to mount it on top of some dents in the pc (I don’t know if this was the intended design). The power supply and the air vent for it are a little mismatching. For reference i'm using the rm750e. I would like for them to label the screws and for the manual to be improved upon. The manual didn’t really show important parts like screwing in different motherboards, pcie slots, etc. Overall I still really like the design and feel of the case. It also came with 6 fans all installed the right way. It also has holes for cable management.
- Kent D.2021-11-11Great case for decent price
Overall very good case, good wind tunnel design, very good magnetic door lock and inside space arrangment design. the 6 stock fans are kind of useless tho, if take out all 6 fans and move the price to ~$50, this would be even more competitive. mobo standoffs only has M-atx pre-installed, but additional standoff are available and came with the case. very spacious on the top, enough room to do 240 push pull aio, but not enough room for 280 aio (the 280 radiator wont fit) 2 2.5" mounts in the back and 1 3.5 in the psu chamber, plus plenty of room for double-sided tape for at least 2 more front I/O 2 usb 2 and 1 usb 3, usb 2 is kind of useless, 2 usb 3 would be better I have a 3800xt with thermalright FC140 in it, the glass panel still closes perfectly. overall, this is a very decent case.
- Justin Zavodsky2024-05-24Great low end case
Hard to beat the features of this case for the money. Sure it feels a little cheaper and doesn't have fan control or light control, but both still work great for a budget or beginner case. Everything fit in like it should and works well.
- David2024-05-17Airflow is AMAZING. So many fans! and quiet.
This is an excellent case, if the sold it for like 49.99 this would be the BEST CASE to buy for like everyone, maybe one thing i dont like is that the headphones and mic jacks are separated, I dont see the use case for that? Other than that, i love the case.
