    Neat

It works perfectly fine for switching between my two computers with a USB Hub added for more inputs. And also works great just to switch power between two devices.

    I need another one.

I almost wrote a bad review.... sooo close... Plugged this switch into a USB Mini B port on my 3D scanner, and both LEDs lit up for about 2 seconds, then went dark. And that's all she wrote. I spent the rest of the day trying different things, but to no avail. The switch was a gonner. Looked at the circuit board inside, but nothing visible was amiss. It occurred to me something fried. But how? In a moment of clarity I realized this USB port also powers the scanner's small turntable. I measured the voltage and looky here. This port is 12 volts. Oh well. Live and learn. Asking price was $9.98. I have the (Closs) seller's similar, HDMI switch, running cable TV, and it's working great from day one. I'll be sure not to hook it up to 12 volts.

    Works great

This USB 3.0 Switch Selector, a Bi-Directional USB Switch, offers a simple yet effective solution for managing multiple USB devices between two computers. Its bi-directional functionality allows seamless switching between two PCs with the push of a button, eliminating the hassle of constantly reconnecting devices. The switch supports USB 3.0 speeds, ensuring fast data transfer rates up to 5Gbps, which is ideal for peripherals like printers, scanners, and external storage. Compact and easy to set up, it requires no additional drivers, making it plug-and-play compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. While basic in design, its reliability and affordability make it a practical choice for home offices or small businesses needing efficient USB device management.

    DOA. Didn't work at all.

Tried this on two different computers, PC and Mac. The switch simply didn't work. No response on either computer from the peripherals attached to it. I'll happily update my review if I receive a working replacement.

    This works but be aware...

This device works but be aware that it has three USB-A ports and comes with no cables. I say this because plugging from this to a perephial isn't an issue but going from it to a computer (or two) may be since USB-A to USB-A cables aren't all that common so it's the kind of thing you aren't likely to consider until this arrives and you realize that it's *just* the switcher. Really should have come with a couple of USB-A to USB-A cables like most devices of its kind do but assuming you've already got the needed cables, it does work at USB 3 speeds.

Works as expected, switches both data and power

Small handy device with a metal case. I tried this out with two hosts and one USB device, and it worked as expected. It switches both data and power. When the switch loses power, it'll default back to device 1. Something to be aware of if your host device can cut power. Note that this doesn't come with USB-A to USB-A cables. I almost docked a star because I found that the button is a little flimsy feeling. But at this price point, I think it's acceptable.

    Small & Simple, Works Perfectly!

I have purchased several USB switches to route data from an external hard drive to a computer and, alternatively, to a media player in my home theater. Experience is teaching me that a small form factor and simple switching operation is best for my application, and this switch is the best I've found. Recommended!

    All 3 ports are USB-A

Was happy to get this until I realized this device expects you to use a not supplied USB A to USB A cable(s), which is against the USB standard. The standard says that type A is for hosts, and type B is for devices. A device with a type A connector is expected to provide power, so if you connect computers together with two A's, they will attempt to power each other, leading most likely to Bad Things Happening. This is why this type of cable is not something you would normally see. There have unfortunately been cases, like this device, where this type of non-standard cable is specified. I suppose you could try using a USB C to USB A cable and use a USB A to USB C adapter, but I'd recommend avoiding this due to the potential for confusion later.
