I goofed when I bought my last laptop and did not make sure it had everything I needed. One external hard drive and this CD/DVD read/writer and I’m almost back from the dark ages! It was super simple to install onto my laptop and easy to operate.. I love the small compact design and how it easily fits into one of the pockets of my laptop bag. Definitely recommend for anyone that is needing one, worth every penny! Now I can get busy downloading all of the photos from my son’s childhood that are saved on DVD discs and make them digital.

This is a decent cd/dvd rom. It has tons of connection options and a nice carry case. It has worked fine for me every time I use it. The unit is fairly low price and a good value for what you get. The case is plastic and it can be a little touchy when closing the drawer but this isn’t a huge deal. Overall the unit works fine.

I bought this to use on a Dell Inspiron 16. It turns out that the laptop has no cd dvd drivers installed so this drive will not work. The fault is not with the drive, but with the laptop. I’m trying to find the windows 11 cd dvd drivers, but so far no luck. I think I’ll be returning the drive, which is probably ok.

Literally, this is just what I needed. I've several laptops with years of data and pictures, but different operating systems. Enter this wonderful external drive, burner, etc....It's able to read and interface with my variety of windows systems, and is compatible with my wife's Mac/Apple OSs (is that even a word?). External power supply cord was cleverly "hidden in the box", so I fretted about power for about an hour before discovering it, but no stars off for that...just chalk it up to my excitement and lack of attention. It's a great piece of hardware and soooo simple to use. If you've collected various systems over the years, it's exactly what you need to start gathering your data into easy to use mediums.

I'm absolutely loving this external DVD drive! It's so easy to use with both USB 3.0 and Type-C connections, which is perfect for my laptop and desktop. It's compact and lightweight, making it perfect for travel. What's even better is that it works seamlessly with my Mac and Windows. I can't get over how quickly it reads and burns CDs and DVDs, and the extra USB port is a lifesaver. If you're in need of a reliable and portable DVD drive, I can't recommend this one enough!

Very easy to use - plug & play. Haven't used for DVD activities, but works well fo CDs. Ie is definetly light weight.

This portable DVD /CD Player only worked on 1 DVD but worked on my CD's. I bought Any DVD from Microsoft to see if that would help it did not. I had a computer repair person try to figure it out and he ended up saying that possibily this DVD / CD Player was defective. So, I returned it and ordered a cheaper one, we will see how that works.

Unit was delivered quickly and was plug and play except for the downloading of vlc player because windows media player didn't detect it. VLC found it right away and listed the dvd that i had inserted. And next i'm watching the movie!

Player is working well. No issues with installation -- it's super-easy. Very good value. I am using this to archive/digitize CD and DVD disks. Very handy device.

It Workes! I hadn't taken time to thst it. The reason I needed it is my new system does not have a dvd player or writer. This one works well. I needed it to save important data. I am a writer. and I need to save versions. and Ideas for stories. The probem is the best shelf life for kepping data is not hard disks or even thumb drives. I have had several go bad over the years. But I can read dvd or cd's at least twenty years old. Of course you will need a cool dry place to keep them. Had a need to use it on several systems - No Problems!
