How ironic is it that when I started my once-mighty 2013 Windows 10 desktop gaming machine to add the Bluetooth it's always lacked...I get a message informing me that Windows 10 support from Microsoft ends next year!!! NAAARGH!!!!! The good news is that the machine started right up without any notice of a difference regarding this dongle, save for the Bluetooth icon in the system tray. My Bose Colour Soundlink speaker hooked right up, as did my iPhone and Corsair gaming headset. Success! I can maintain contact throughout my 2200 square foot house without a problem, though stepping outdoors to deal with storm glass and outer walls kills the connection with prejudice. There are plenty of 5.3 standard dongles out there to choose from. Try this one at the latest 5.4 standard for the same price.

I installed this on my Windows 11 Pro system. The instructions repeatedly warn you to disable bluetooth in Windows before inserting but this only applies if your computer has a built-in bluetooth adapter. In that case you probably don't need this adapter so for those ordering this because you don't have bluetooth, you can skip that part and just insert the adapter into an open USB port. On my computer the device initially showed up with an error in device manager, and the bluetooth icon failed to show up in the tasktray area. However, when I removed it and reinserted it the error no longer appeared and I was able to add a PS4 controller quite easily.

Works great ! I had another brand that I bought off of Amazon and my mouse kept randomly loosing the Bluetooth connect, this adapter is solid and I've yet to loose the bluetooth connection. It's plug and play so no drivers or software to install with Windows 11.

I have an older BT standard on my computers motherboard. This was causing a huge delay in my bluetooth headphones. I disabled my current radio, installed this with no drivers needed on windows 10, and was able to connect devices right away. I can now use my really nice headphones to watch movies now with very little latency! This solved a problem I have had for a long time.

I had been upgrading from Blutooth 3.x to 4.x to this one as per range & interference issues. Frankly, I have yet to notice the difference from the dongle change. Unlike the changes of earbuds which added functionality, such as multisource connectivity & free switching between them, the dongle changes through 3 apartments did not really make a difference. My Amazon Echo Bud (which BT 5.2) gets nearly the same range & incurs problems at the same part of the apartment. Not better but quite a good BT dongle. Neither positive nor negative to mention.

This adapter connected easily. It has great coverage and works much better than my previous BT adapter which wasn't BT 5.4 This unit also has a connectivity light. This makes it easy to tell if there is active communication between the adapter and your BT devices.

Slick Bluetooth adapter, but requires a driver download from someone's OneDrive account. The software can be malicious as it's an .exe executable. Don't want to download unknown software so was unable to make the product work.

This Bluetooth adapter works great. You just plug it in and your computer is ready to connect to Bluetooth devices. I didn't have to install anything. I would definitely recommend this.

5.4 Bluetooth USB adapter for pc, Maxuni Mini Bluetooth 5.4 EDR USB Bluetooth adapter for laptop, ..... I have a few different Bluetooth adapters of various versions and I always seem to have problems connecting devices to them, either they won’t discover devices or connect, even then connections tend to be unreliable. So, this is yet another Bluetooth adapter to add to my collection, however this one work! This is a tiny device, plugs into a USB-A port and has a small blue LED on the end, which is dimly lit and behind a diffuser, so it is a soft blue light rather than a glaring one. There were no drivers to load, it was detected straight away (Windows 10/11) and ready for use. Adding a device was simple, it listed my devices straight away as well as some neighbouring devices, I managed to connect to several devices (at the same time) and they connected without any issues which is pretty much a first for me. I have a mouse, keyboard, soundbar, generic Bluetooth controller and even my earbuds, all connected at the same time and working! A thing to note, according to the instruction booklet provided, which for once is legible, this adapter does not work with Linux or MacOS and a few other things and it will work on Windows 7, but a driver is required, (the website for the driver is listed in the manual). The range is also impressive, over 13m away, through 2 walls before the audio on my earbuds and soundbar started to break up. Normally I’m lucky if I get just a few metres away let alone two rooms away, sometimes it’s as bad as just turning my head and I lose sound in one earbud, so this is another impressive feature. So, for once I have a decent Bluetooth adapter that doesn’t have any problems connecting to my devices and multiple at the same time coupled with good range too. I’m quite impressed with this little adapter and can certainly recommend it.

This works fine on a old WIndows laptop I have, it has quite a short range only several metres in my house, but it does work. Price at the time of review is £13.99 and there is a 50% off vouchers right now. I did find it amusing that in most of the laptop photos it shows a MacBook yet the bluetooth dongle is not compatible with Mac. Although having said that most Macs for the last 10 years or so have excellent bluetooth included. Either way the dongle works, as my windows laptop didnt have any existing bluetooth I didn't need to follow the instructions to disable any existing bluetooth. This is a budget bluetooth receiver/transmitter and the price reflects that.
