This is an ETL listed outlet that offers many plug and USB options. Works as expected. My only concern is that the surge rating is not stated on the outlet itself. So will only use this for devices with low energy draw...phones, tablets, etc. But this is definitely handy and has a nice form factor.

This is a great attachment/extender for your existing wall outlet without having to replace one. You know that any changes to the built-in fixtures to a rented apartment will have to be put back once the lease is up. This is true even if it was an upgrade! They really don't want to return that security deposit, I tell you. At any rate, this is a perfect solution, and an affordable one at that for your multi-outlet needs in this day of electronics. On safety--- It's ETL listed which is an accreditation body much like UL with slightly less recognition but it's still very much trusted in the industry. It has surge protection much like a surge protected power strip up to 1650 Joules. You'd need over 2000J for sensitive equipment like a desktop PC but it should provide enough protection for most common household appliances that don't require such high power needs. Furthermore, it's rated to supply up to 1875 watts but I'd keep it well below 70% (of its max wattage rating) of concurrent use for safety reasons. It comes with three USB ports but only one of them is USB-C which can support up to 17 watts without having to use a separate power supply. This means you can fast-charge directly out of the outlet which is very nice. The other ports (USB-A) can supply up to 10 watts which should be able to power appliances that accept 5v@1A or 5v@2A input. It comes with a 2 inch bolt that you can choose to install optionally. It replaces the middle screw of your wall outlet to marry the extender and the outlet together. As a result, it won't become loose or even unplug itself from falling out of the socket due to its own weight over time. It also allows me to plug/unplug devices with a single hand which is already paying dividends from the extra 30 seconds I invested in screwing it together. 5 out of 5 stars, very convenient, offers lots of outlets, relatively safe upgrade that will even manage to help declutter your space as you won't need as many power supplies or power strips to plug in the same amount of devices. It's also quite affordable at the time of writing for me to highly recommend to others.
- Stubby2024-05-23Easy to install and tons of outlets
Seems like more and more things need to be plugged in these days, so older homes become a bit of a challenge for getting everything powered up. Power strips work, but they're kinda ugly laying on the ground. This is a good solution to the problem that keeps clutter off the floor, and can be installed by anyone that can use a screwdriver. Installation is easy: remove the screw that holds the face plate of the outlet on, but keep the face plate in place. Use the included long screw to attach this device, and that's it. You'll know its working from the very small blue and red lights on the front. And now you have 4 grounded outlets, 4 non grounded outlets, 2 USB-A ports, and one USB-C port, up to a maximum of 1875 watts total. And that's it. No rewiring of receptacles in the wall, fiddling with circuit breakers in the basement, or anything like that. A pretty genius idea that's been well executed, and great for those situations where you need more outlets.
- oNe HiGh MoNk2024-06-11Great for multi use areas in kitchen
I have an old house that doesn't really have enough outlets for modern living. This is a good solution for areas where we have multiple things to plug in that might not be used at the same time, like the coffee and small appliance areas.
- Benjamin Jeffrey2024-04-29Gives an incredible amount of space for plugins but confused on design
I'm not sure why there aren't two grounded plugs on the back of this instead of only one. It takes up two while only utilizing one single outlet. The number of outlets and USB ports are great and have made plugging in different gadgets behind a couch super simple and easy to manage. The screw to keep the outlet plugged into the wall is the proper length to keep it secure without wobbling around everywhere which is nice because it wont just randomly slip out of the wall and the weight of several cables isnt going to slowly pull it out. Power for the usb charging ports is decent and it charges my oneplus 9 at an ok pace. its not incredibly high wattage by any means for any one single usb port but will charge your phone faster than a standard brick charger if you use the usb port to do so. Great for needing many outlets in a tiny space and so far works without any issues.
- Grumpy Spud2024-04-29Finally, a plug-in surge protector that won't fall out.
Who knew that a wall outlet extender could be the life of the party? This little guy, with its 8-way outlets and 1680J surge protection, has more arms than an octopus and each one is ready to power your devices. The USB ports are a nice touch, like a cherry on top of a sundae. The LED indicator is the extender’s way of winking at you, letting you know it’s got everything under control. Perfect for dorm rooms, offices, kitchens, and anywhere else you need to plug in more things than you have outlets for. It’s ETL listed, which is a nice plus. But be warned, with this much convenience in one place, your other appliances might get jealous!
- S.J.DGS2024-04-20There are 2 X 2 prong outlets on the top and bottom as well
This is an electrical outlet extender that plugs into and sits on top of a wall outlet. It transforms a 1 gang wall outlet into an eight outlet extender - 4 X 3 prong on the front and 4 X 2 prong on top/bottom. It has a long, center screw for anchoring the extender to an outlet with a center screw hole. It also has 2 USB-A and 1 USB-C charging ports. Normally devices similar to this have two plugs for a typical 1gang/2 outlet extender, but this product only has one for the top outlet. IMO this is a 5 star product with no noticeable flaws which gets a strong "buy" recommendation from me.
- Bogie2024-04-18Wall Outlet Surge Protector
Not a bad outlet extender, and gives you a lot of options. Keep in mind that if you have 11 things plugged into it all pulling max power, you're going to hit some issues. However, in a guest bedroom, this is handy to provide charging ports of multiple types to allow for charging options for guests.
- Rank Amateur Feelgood Machine2024-04-13As long as this ETL listing is legit
Turn any outlet into a multi-function outlet! Would I load this thing down with multiple high-draw devices? Absolutely not! Would I use this device to create a charging station for multiple phones and such? For this, it's perfect. I like that it has outlets facing both forwards and vertical. This permits for a little more versatility. I don't hear any of the customary very faint but ever-present "eeeeeeeeeee" transistor whine that comes from some lower-cost devices. Yes, I'm the person who can hear DC adapters and be very bothered by it. After plugging a couple things in and making it actually have a current flow thru it, I can't hear much of anything emitting from it. That pleases me. Just don't be that person that daisy-chains surge protectors. Don't. It's wrong and will give you warts. If you do, and you get warts, you cannot blame this device. That was completely on you! ;)
- C Lyn Martis2024-04-15You have to put it on both outlets even though there is only one plug.
This is just what it shows with one exception, there is only one plug on the back, but a plastic stick so you have to plug it into both. I don't understand why, if you have to plug it into both, they didn't put two plugs and take the load off just one. I had gotten this because I have a plug that the top half is blocked by a bar and I wanted to just add more to the one plug. But, alas, this won't let you just plug it into one....unless you cut off the little plastic bit
