I took this on a Royal Caribbean cruise. I didn't end up needing it much, but it did work well. Since it's flat with the prongs folded down, I slipped it into our check-in suitcase. In our room, there was only one outlet beside the bed. This is small enough that it can be plugged in and provides additional spots to charge things without taking up a lot of space. It could also work in a home outlet, but the size might limit what you can plug into the second outlet. Our room also had additional outlets above the desk/vanity, and this was a good size and shape to be plugged in there too. One other thing--I've heard that cruise ships won't let you bring something like this with a long cable on board. I initially ordered a power strip that had that and switched it out for this. I'm glad I did because space was limited in our room and luggage and even if the other had been allowed, this one was easy to pack and to use in the cabin.

I know that this is billed as being a great power adapter for travel, but when I saw this, I knew it would work perfectly in my garage. So many of my small devices can be charged with a USB cable, so rather than using a power block and plugging that into an outlet, I thought I'd give this a try. Here's what I think: 1.) The folding prongs are perfect if you want to take this with you. That feature makes it even more compact and it prevents it from catching on anything. 2.) With three standard outlets, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports, this should charge/power everything needed on a trip. 3.) On a standard dual outlet, this was designed to only occupy one outlet. I provided a picture showing how this is plugged and leaves enough room for even a large plug. 4.) I generally like devices like this to have ports facing down so it can be used behind furniture or in tight spaces. That is not what this was designed to do, so that's not a negative. Just keep in mind that all of the ports are on one side. At the time of this review, this is around $18, which I think is a good price. There are other devices that are similar to this one, but I found the folding prongs to be unique. There's really nothing bad to say about this adapter.
- magicmoose2024-06-25Good USB charger / Mini Power Strip!
Had some issues with the plug folding down without sort of forcing it a bit. It works otherwise and the quality of the actual package is quite good. I haven't ran into any problems, and the USB-A outlet was charging at 5v 2A 12 watts of power for my iPhone. Recommend this!
- Harrison Keely2024-06-09Folding plug is easy for travel, but top prongs require an extra push to get into proper place
I love how portable this is! One problem with carrying these types of outlet extenders for travel is that they can’t easily be stored in a slim pocket or space because the plug juts out. It’s nifty that the plug folds in on this one. It can also be used in the top outlet without blocking the bottom socket. In addition, I like that you can leave the third prong folded for places that have only two-hole sockets! I find it much easier to fold the third prong back and forth. The top two are a little stiffer and when they do click down, they don’t go all the way down, but tend to rest at an incorrect upward angle. It takes one final push to get them pointing straight. This could use improvement. I do love that USB ports are included, and a good mix of older A and more modern C ports. If anything, I wish the USB outlets provided more power so gadgets could charge faster, which often seems a necessity when traveling.
- Robert Sun2024-06-09Versatile travel adapter
This outlet extender is a well-built and versatile solution for travelers. It features three 3-prong outlets, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports. The USB-A ports provide a maximum of 12W of power, while the USB-C ports offer 15W. While this isn’t fast charging, it’s sufficient to power multiple devices efficiently. The 3-prong outlets are rated for devices up to 1875W, making them capable of handling power-hungry gadgets like hair dryers. The plug saves travel space by folding completely flat against the back of the outlet extender. In addition, the third prong can be independently folded or unfolded, allowing for use while traveling in Japan. When plugged into the upper receptacle, the unit leaves the lower receptacle completely unblocked. The glowing power indicator light is a nice bonus, adding to the thoughtful design of this outlet extender. This product is highly recommended for its design and functionality.
- MarvinLaw2024-06-04Not just for travel
Having been on several cruise ships over the past several years, it is safe to say that there is never a sufficient number of power outlets in the cabin. This power strip turns one outlet into seven, with three outlets, two USB ports, and two USB-C ports. I honestly wish I had this on my prior cruises. But this power strip is not just for cruise ships or for traveling. I have this permanently installed next to a couch and lounge chair in the living room. That space is a central hub for everyone using their notebook, tablet, and phone, all at the same time. This device allows everyone to keep their devices plugged in while in use or for recharging. It is significantly more useful to me and my living room, and can easily be unplugged the next time I travel. This is another device where the tagline “don’t leave home without it” would be applicable. A very worthwhile and useful acquisition.
- City Angel2024-06-08LOVE my new mini, lightweight multi-outlet power block! :0)
Hopefully there’s no issue using this at home. I’m using it to plug in multiple USB-A and USB-C items. LOVE the green LED light that alerts you to it being powered! :0) There are 2 prongs on the backside. I believe that the lower single prong is just the grounding prong. The top double flat prongs were a little difficult and tight to move into the proper 90 degree position. Hopefully it will loosen up a little over time/usage. Please make sure that you push this double prong into the 90 degree position BEFORE you plug it into a wall outlet. The block should sit completely flat against the wall outlet. I hope this item will last a long time. It looks nice and has the functionality that I need in my livingroom. Enjoy! :0)
- LuckyLucy2024-06-01Should be great for our AK cruise
Super compact design and I love that the prongs fold flat, as that’ll make transport so much easier. The top prong with the two pieces was a little challenging to lock in place when extended so use a little extra effort with that. Overall, great product for traveling.
- DAVID B.2024-06-01Nice Handy Quality Outlet Extender
This Power Strip Outlet Extender is a good quality and handy one to have. The prongs are foldable and can be used on a two or three outlet wall plug. It has three grounded outlets, one two prong outlet and two USB ports. A great item to use when traveling for extra outlets or charging phone, tablet or etc or in the home when needed.
- Scott2024-06-04compact for travel with lots of sockets
This is a fantastic compact outlet extender. Everything these days seems to come with a USB-c or USB plug to power or charge it. so having two of each is great. It also has 3 regular ac plug sockets. I use this for travel but more so with my laptop when i'm out someplace. This is good for cruise ships as stated because it's small but also doesn't have surge....something about cruise ships don't allow surge protectors? don't know. But this works and is allowed. The one thing and it just might be mine is that the double prongs in the back that you have to pull down into place really need extra force to get them to stay down in position. They don't easily lock and it feels like you are going to break it. The grounding plug pops out just fine. Overall its decent and is part of my travel and laptop stuff.
