    deak clamp works

I got this instead of using a power strip to mount under the desk. The wife uses it for when she works from home. The usb A and C are nice benefits.

    Really useful power strip

I really like the Desk Clamp Power Strip by Fararaka. I frequently work from home (telework) one or two days per week, and the best location for my desk is inconveniently far from the nearest wall outlet. When teleworking I need to plug in the AC adapter for my work laptop, an external monitor, a pair of USB powered speakers, a desk lamp, and a shredder. I also frequently need to recharge my phone, and after work I use the same desk for hobbies which often involve recharging the batteries in my tablet, flashlight collection, or various other battery-powered tools or devices. This power strip meets my needs perfectly. The low profile plug and long cord (I measured it at 9 feet 5 inches) easily reaches the wall outlet, and the power strip securely clamps to the desk top, which keeps power cords and recharging cables off of the floor. With 6 x AC outlets, 4 x USB-A ports, and 2 x USB-C ports, there is ample capacity to plug in everything I might need, up to the rated capacity of 1625W / 13A. One caution: the listing mentions "1625W overload protection (the red button on the side) and 1800J surge protector," but there is no red button (maybe they mean the red indicator on the top next to the power switch?), and neither the packaging, product labeling, or the included manual mention anything about surge protection, so I cannot confirm that the product actually has that feature. Regardless, this Desk Clamp Power Strip is very useful for me, and I will probably use it daily.

    Flexible attachment; no connected-equipment warranty

This is a good product. There are a number of things I like about it. Perhaps the most important is that the clamp assembly can be removed OR reversed so you can get the configuration you want. It is held on to the strip by two screws. There is a hole in the clamp bracket that allows you to get access to the screw that would otherwise be beneath the bracket. The presence of that hole means that getting to that second screw is much easier than it would be without the hole. Having a reversible clamp means you can attach the strip to the front or back of a surface facing either forward or backward depending on how you want the plugs to be positioned. Given this flexibility in orienting the strip, it is also important that the power button is in the center of the top of the box. That means you can access it regardless of the orientation of the strip and clamp. All of these are relatively minor design features by themselves, but put together they make it easy to position the strip exactly as you need. One observation is that the ad says this is ten feet long. The cord by itself is 3-4 inches short of 10 feet, but the entire cord plus strip is a bit more than 10 feet. Another observation is that, although there is one outlet set apart from the others to accommodate a boxy plug, if you have TWO things to plug in with bulky plugs, you are going to lose at least one other outlet from the overhang of the second large plug. The clamp has a maximum opening of 1.8 inches with a minimum overhang of 1.9 inches needed to attach the clamp. This is also an 1800 joule surge suppressor. That’s actually a pretty good amount of protection although I don’t see any description of a warranty to cover plugged in equipment. There is a one year warranty on the strip but not a “connected equipment” warranty like the ones you would get with top-of-the-line, name-brand surge protectors so if you have a lightning strike and your equipment gets fried, I don’t see that you have any recourse to have your equipment replaced. Overall, I think this is pretty well designed. It is giving me the additional outlets I need (including the USB outlets) and providing a little peace of mind that my connected equipment MAY survive a power fluctuation. I would feel a lot better if there were a connected equipment warranty, but I guess you get what you pay for. This is a decent product.

I Wish I Had Gotten This Sooner

This is really helpful at keeping my electronics plugged in. My old powers trip is constantly getting moved around on my hard surface floors. I am constantly fooling around with my phone charger especially. I like that this power strip stops all that by keeping the strip off the floor and away from things that move the strip such as cord movement by me or my pets. I also really like the 45° flat plug because all of my outlets are behind furniture. And the wide space footprint of the strip helps accommodate charging blocks which seems to be how most small electronics are being powered now. This power strip has been very helpful in organizing and simplifying my charging needs. I highly recommend this strip.

    Worth every penny.

This is such a versatile power strip. It can be mounted almost anywhere to provide power in several different ways. It offers 6 standard wall plug outlets, 4 USB outlets and 2 USB-C outlets as well. The 10ft cord makes it easy to get power where you need it the most. It comes with an optional mounting bracket to attach the power strip to a desk edge or shelf. With this unit, I was able to bring much need power to my desk area of my shop. Highly Recommended.

solid desktop power supply for all your needs

Solidly built power strip. The cable is also nice and thick which means it can handle a decent amount of power draw. The 6 usb ports (4 usb-b and 2 usb-c) are VERY useful, especially if you want to charge a bunch of devices - frees up the actual power ports for larger devices. The clamp is nice and solid. However the power cable comes out from the left side of the strip - it does have channels to help reroute the cable but this is something you should consider where you want to place the device.

    Powers Everything

I got this power strip to put on a workbench, but with the four USB-A and two -C ports, it's even better for my home office (I guess I'll order another for the workbench). On my office desk, I'm usually powering a computer (120 VAC), a MagSafe charger for iPhone (USB-C), an iPad (USB-C), and earbuds (USB-A). That sounds like a lot, but I've still got ports to spare with this power strip. It's the most useful one I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

Versatile, stable, convenient power strip for desk, workbench, or... dining room table?

I occasionally occupy the dining room table to test equipment, whether it's things I've ordered from Amazon, mini PCs and single board computers and such that have been idling in my garage for years, or whatever. Usually I use an outlet strip with a couple of USB ports that just sits on the table until the cat plays with the cord and knocks it on the floor. That one has three outlets and one set of USB without the power delivery option for rapid charging. I saw this power strip and realized it solved several of my issues at once, so I gave it a shot. I found that the clamp fit quite securely on my table without much effort. The cord is nice and long, and the ports all worked as expected. I powered a couple of network devices and chargers from the USB options, and ran some charging adapters and the like from the AC outlets. The one wart-spaced outlet is a nice touch for things that have sideways or huge power plugs. I didn't test the limits of the USB ports in depth, but I did get about 17-18 watts out of one of the PD20W USB-C outlets, so I feel pretty good about their potential. When I rework my home office, this will get clamped onto a work table so I always have power and it's not in the family's way. But even for an afternoon's hardware testing, it was a very functional and impressive device. This multifunction outlet strip is a good value at the usual $40 price, but as I write this review, there are two discounts on the Amazon product page that bring it down to about $21 which is really really good.

    Works Well, Solid Construction

Pros: Works as advertised, multiple USB slots, clamping device works well. Cons: Would be nice if power chord could be switched from one end to the other, maybe with it coming out of the unit in the middle of the back? Or having the clamp spin around so strip can be rotated. Also, the on/off light is very dim (see picture).
