- MJH2024-05-08The perfect device for your old photos
I had some 50 yo Kodak slides that I was going to through away until I found this device. The price was right so I thought I would try it. The results are amazing. This is a simple idea that works well . You have to try it. It's easy to use and you will like the results.

I scanned some slides from the 1950's and I have not received my photos back yet but the images look good, perhaps some are a little lighter in color but after all this time I might expect. Handy as I did not have to mail the slides out or find someone who would process the 35 mm slides,

Very inexpensive device. Usually you get what you pay for. Here you get more than you pay for this thing really works well. Yeah, you can go into settings on an iPhone and maybe even on an android and set your camera to negative and then photograph a negative if you’ve got a bright light source behind it. Etc. That is annoying, and tedious. The software that is free in the App Store does this conversion instantly and it is very handy. I’m very satisfied with this. Also bundled in this nice package is some amusing material The manufacturer says is of absolutely no practical use. But they hope it will make us smile and entertain us. And it does.

The device is well built and has some weight to it so it doesn't tend to move around. Back light is even to all edges of the screen. For slides this is a manual operation but I was able to scan slides fairly quickly. All-in-all I am pleased with it. .
- oldIT2024-03-09It’s ok
When I purchased this I wasn’t expecting Epson quality scans and I wasn’t disappointed. The scans I was getting using the software were 2mp to 3mp file size which is basically useless for printing pictures. It’s fine to digitize old slides - my preference - and look at them on computer but forget about printing pictures. They came out grainy and were a waste of paper and ink. I also used my iPhone 15 Pro Max camera and got better pictures but nothing to write home about. I then tried with my ProCamera app on the same phone and got much better “scans”. It was harder to set up though. But still not great print quality. Overall it’s an ok way to digitize film and slides but if you want scans to print quality pictures get an epson v600 - I will be.

Very easy to use and I was so happy to see old pictures I forgot I had taken. The color is off but better than nothing.

As an established photographic Artist I highly do recommend this product. During my career, photography darkrooms processing had been a routine. This product is amazingly simple , not complicated and achieves the perfect results. From a 35mm to a 8x10 print it had been just fine. Packaged very nicely, easy to assemble and transport. I still shoot film, so processing for me is very useful since I can scan negatives quickly and efficiently. Thank you
- teeinep2024-03-18It requires photo shop
I expected something else. The machine is easy to use, requires software, and is easy to assemble. However, I am not happy with it because it is not scanning the image. It is taking a picture of a negative with a lot of light, but after that, the picture still looks like a negative. Once I take a picture of the negative, I have to play with the settings to make it look accurate. That is much more work than scanning. It is easier to process the negatives professionally. I don't recommend it.
- Sandy2024-04-23Great for slides
I was expecting this to be a scanner as stated. It's just a platform to put your phone on to stabilize it for taking pictures of your slide. A light comes on the bottom to shine through your slide and has ridges to keep it in place.
- MooseMommy2024-03-18Needed more space to focus on slides
This serves its purpose but I needed to rest my iPhone 14 on a paperback book on top of the shelf to get it to focus. It did a good job vs paying $1.50 for each of my hundreds of slides. I cleaned every slide (most are 60+ years old) and it gets time consuming but all in all worthwhile the $20.
