Doesn't work with newer iPhones! It should be older iPhones with small lens.

New phones the camera lens doesn't fit in viewer area to take a picture wat so ever. If you have an older model iPhone with smaller lens might work.

    It does work ..

You can't use certain films they are too big or the smaller ones the pic is distorted maybe should be adjustable for size and be adjustable to view .....other than that it does work..

    Great value

Small learning curve. Worked great. I was able to scan over 200 slides with perfect results.

    Viewer Only

This viewer requires a smart phone app. It cautions you that the image you get is only as good as your phone’s camera. I have an iPhone 13. I can see each negative I need to view. The images are not clear enough that I would save them to my phone. I can see each so that I know what I’m sending to a film developer. For this, it does its job.

Too short to work - slides are too close and out of focus

I bought this to convert some old slides for my dad and it's completely useless. Auto focus in the built-in Camera App is incredibly blurry. I figured maybe I just need to use manual focus, but the app that's provided by the manufacturer doesn't have manual focus. So I tried a different app that has manual focus and the stand is just too short. Even setting manual focus to the closest setting, the slide is too close to focus on. If stand was a half inch or so taller it might work.

    Really Good Inexpensive Device

This product is easy to use. You will need 2 AA batteries, and a flat stable surface. The photo is from a 35mm slide. I recommend this if you don't have many slides to copy.

Basically analog but does the job well

This does what it needs to do so you can photograph your negative or slide yourself. It backlights it, allows you to put your phone at the correct distance, and then inverts the colors. (Just using an iPhone by itself does a way worse job on all three). I haven’t tried digitizing directly, but those devices cost 12x as much. This is less expensive because it simply sets your own phone up to take a (nice) picture of a picture. The app has its own editing features, but all I needed was the color inversion (my iPhone doesn’t have a filter for that, apparently). The app is also kinda in Chinese but seemed legit.

    Didn't work for me

Assembled the device - seemed sturdy, added batteries and the light was bright, then downloaded the required Smartphone app from the QR code on the box. Instructions in the box did not mention doing 35 mm slides which the internet details said it could do. Basically I'm left with a light to illuminate the slides but still too tiny to see details. The app only showed the negative on my smartphone camera and options to put a frame around it or change color - can't enlarge, didn't convert to a "positive image. You could get the same result putting a flashlight under the slide!

    Great Value for the Price

This one is great for the price. It is easy to use. No app is needed. I used a Android phone. Zoom in on the slide and the pictures were excellent. I did over 100 slides in no time.
