A fantastic accessory for anyone who loves to write or draw on their tablet. It offers a natural, paper-like feel that enhances the experience, making it much more enjoyable and precise. The magnetic attachment is incredibly convenient, allowing you to easily detach and reattach it as needed. Plus, the matte finish reduces glare and fingerprints, keeping your screen clear and easy to read. It’s a must-have for artists, students, and anyone who uses their iPad for creative work!
- Milkis2024-05-31An Artist's Perspective: It's a cheap, convenient, and great option to have
As an artist, I'm always on the lookout for tools that enhance my creative process without breaking the bank. The Magnetic Paper-Feel Screen Protector is one such gem that has earned its place in my toolkit. Pairing it with the ESR tempered glass screen protector was seamless. They complement each other perfectly, providing double the protection without compromising on performance. Applying and removing it is a breeze, thanks to the magnetic design. I really enjoy the ability to easily remove it when I want to enjoy watching videos or browsing the web without any hindrances. This flexibility allows me to seamlessly transition between having a matte textured screen for drawing and the gloss of the tempered glass screen protector for everyday use without sacrificing the quality of my viewing experience. The matte screen protector also sits really flush to the screen, so unlike other magnetic screen protectors I didn't feel the gap between the screen protector and the screen. The included storage folder is a thoughtful addition, keeping the protector safe and accessible when not in use. Drawing with this screen protector feels incredibly natural. There's no noticeable lag, and the texture mimics the feel of pen on paper beautifully. It's a definite game-changer for people who like to take notes or draw on the ipad.
- John G2024-06-03Considerable dimming of beautiful OLED M4 display
Nice paper feel, very simple to put on/take off. The storage sleeve is a decent quality and very functional accessory. I was surprised by how much it dimmed/matte the display. Good for writing notes but I’m glad it comes off verity easily and is reusable. Not something I would leave on for any other uses.
- Vanessa Dávila2024-06-29It's actually really nice, and worth the money
I was a bit nervous to buy it because there were some reviews saying the cover flattened the pen tip after using it so I was skeptical at first. BUT I'm actually very happy with it, have had no issues, my pen tip is still brand new after a few months, and it's very easy to install. It's not like the sticky phone covers, it's just magnetic and easily attaches to the iPad. I'm also left handed, so this has helped make my handwriting a little better compared to writing on glass. Give it a try! It's great!
- Emeralds3572024-06-22Great alternative to a permanent matte screen protector
I had a matte glass screen protector for digital art, but kept enviously looking at the clarity of the rest of my families screens who didn't have matte. I decided to switch back to a normal tempered glass protector, but wanted a removable option for when I draw. This was everything I wanted! Pros: -Gives a matte texture and paper like feel for drawing -easy to remove and install. It adheres magnetically so all you have to do is pop it on to a clean screen (make sure it lines up well) and run your fingers along the edges so its nice and flat -retains colors and as much screen clarity that can be expected from a matte protector - definitely anti-glare - comes with a storage sleeve that protects it when not in use -cleans up well. both sides have gotten dirty and I have been able to clean it well Cons: -application takes some getting used to. at times I have to peel it on and off to make sure it's adhering closely enough to my glass to not inhibit interfacing -prefers Apple Pencil. I find that response is better with my pencil when I'm drawing then when I use my finger to navigate around* *This issue mainly appears near the center and I can normally adjust it to get it to improve, but not necessarily disappear -I still question which side is face down and face up. Not so much a con, but it would be neat if it was more clear Definitely recommend if you don't want the matte all the time but like having it to draw or write with your Apple Pencil.
- Abner2024-06-20Great Idea, but Needs Improvement
I am constantly writing, and for the first time, I've decided to try a different company that offers a better iPad writing experience. I have a few thoughts about ESR's Paper-feel magnet screen protector. The included folder is a great touch, both handy and premium-feeling. The screen protector's dimensions are perfect, fitting my iPad even with a case. Additionally, the anti-glare feature is excellent and works wonderfully. My favorite aspect of this screen protector is the ability to write on my tablet like it's paper while still being able to remove it and enjoy the iPad's original screen. However, I have encountered two issues. First, the magnets could be stronger, as the sides of the screen protector frequently detach, which is frustrating when I'm deep into writing. Second, the roughness level could be improved. In my experience, the Apple Pencil drags more on this protector compared to a pencil on paper. If these two problems were addressed, this screen protector would be the best option for those who write or draw extensively but still want to enjoy the iPad's screen.
- Citizen O2024-05-20Best accessory addition for Apple Pencil and IPads
After a months use test, this product is awesome and better than the previous paper like items I have used. I use IPad Pro 11 inch 3rd Gen 2022. It reminds me of the old school transparency film sheets. I still write a lot for my hobbies and for work I conduct presentations and draw out schematics for IT projects. Being able to write edit like using paper is key for me. The delivery was early the packaging was nice.very nice. Installation was easy and just wipe with your cloths and lay the screen smooth side down. I do like being able to remove the screen, when I’m using tablet for entertainment. The price could be lower, but well worth the cost and the magnets do not damage or distort the IPad in any way as well, which is genius. I recommend it for anyone using the tablet as a notebook replacement and if your an artist it’s pretty darn close to drawing on paper issue it with procreate.
- Joey2024-06-04Must have for drawing, and great movies in bright environments
I’m blown away by the similarity between actually drawing on paper and this. The sound, resistance and feel is on point. It’s clear there was a lot of R&D that went into this product. Even with a case on and a tempered glass protector underneath there is no issues with fitment and barely any difference in touch sensitivity. Also like using it for watching movies in brighter environments. The antiglare function is quite amazing and I did not expect that feature. I purchased something similar for my Ultra 9 tab for 80 bucks and it was terrible and slippery as glass, it was returned instantly. It had no source of attachment to the screen and overlapped the tablet, had no magnets to adhere like esr’s. Also that one had no anti glare function. ESR’s version is a knock out of the park while still being affordable, and stays on beautifully and I almost never want to take it off because of how perfect it applied. 100% recommended.
- McQ2024-05-16(Revised) I find it hard to believe this was designed for a iPad Pro 13
Update to original Review: ESR reached out to me completely unsolicited. They offered to send a new screen protector and also provide a refund. I accepted the offer, received a new protector, and have used it for a week. I'd like to amend my first review to address the new shipment and not focus too much on the old. 1) The cut was perfect. Where the first protector was too small and certainly cut for an iPad 12.9, this one is perfect. 2) The magnetic strips work fine. Having used a similar product, I think it is important to know that the protector isn't completely relying on the magnets. There is some degree of adhesion for static or surface tension. So far, I have no complaints. 3) The writing surface feels good. I'm using a Pencil Pro and the nib shows no sign of wear. The protector hasn't interfered with the squeeze, barrel roll, and haptic feedback feature. 4) There is a huge advantage to being able to remove the protector if you want to stream video or edit high resolution photos. Also, the product comes with a sleeve so you can protect it from bending or scratches when it isn't in use. 5) This is a highly competitive product to Paper-like at half of the cost. Anyone who has ever used a paper feel screen protector knows there are limitations inherent to the concept. Using rough PET with a plastic tipped stylus is never going to feel exactly like pencil and paper. The iPad screen is never going to be as sharp or clear with the protector applied. If you choose to use a removable overlay, as opposed to a fixed one, there will be a degree of adhesion issues. I think this product addresses all of these limitations as well as possible. So here is where I stand: The product that was originally sent to me was severely lacking. I can only assume this was due to rushing something to market ahead of the iPad release. The second protector I received is very good. It hit all of the points I want to see in a paper feel overlay. The customer service is exceptional. I don't deal with a company's customer service very often, because I'm the worst type of customer. I don't complain but walk away and don't come back. This leaves the service provider never knowing what issues I encountered, and giving them a chance to to fix them. If ESR hadn't contacted me, I'd never known that their product was good. In all fairness, if I'd received the revised order first, it would have received a five star review. Now that I've dealt with ESR's customer service, I'm comfortable giving them five stars. ***************************************************************************** You have to try pretty hard to get one star from me, but this product did it. First, let me address how writing on it feels...I don't know. What about how hard it is on the pencil nib? I have no clue. Does it impact pencil tracking? I never got that far, so you'll need to read another review. Now for what I do know: 1) It is cut too small for an iPad Pro 13. It seems like they used the basic pattern for a 12.9, but cut out a horizontal notch. 2) Maybe it has something to do with it being too small but the magnetic strips didn't work at all. The sheet wouldn't stay on at all. When I say "not all", I mean there wasn't a hint of being a magnet. I tried it on a new Pro 13 and the older Pro 12.9...nothing. I tried the fridge, my car, an old traffic sign I have in the bar, and nothing. This thing wouldn't stick to anything! Do yourself a favor and steer clear.
- Nimb2024-05-19Best of both worlds removable paperlike screen protector. Great customer service great product too!!
Update this is truly a 5 star ⭐️ product. ESR is great company with excellent customer service they go above and beyond and really care about their products. First I want to say what great customer service this company gives. I can’t tell you how much I now love 💕 this product. It allows my 2024 13 inch IPad Pro to have paperlike feel for drawing and note taking; but gives me the ability to remove screen protector and have amazing OLED screen clarity. I don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. So with this removable screen protector you can have it all. So if looking for paperlike feel I highly recommend this product. Under dotted line was my original review ( while updating my review I feel it is important to keep original review for full disclosure. I did take down original video as can only have 1 video per review. I did new video with replacement screen protector they sent me free of charge.) I had returned for a full refund my original screen protector because it was moving back and forth and was quite annoying. They reached out to me about my original review. They were very cordial gave me the following tips for using screen protector: “So sorry to hear that the screen protector is not attach to the screen firmly. We kindly ask you to try the following troubleshooting as those have proven to often times already help: 1.A weak attachment may be the result of applying the screen protector in the wrong direction. When applying, remove the protective film covering the black magnetic strips and ensure that the glossy side of the magnetic strips is facing toward the iPad screen. 2. Wipe down the device screen to remove any dust or debris before applying the screen protector. This allows full contact between the magnetic strips and screen. 3. After aligning the screen protector into position, press firmly along the magnetic strips on both sides. Our goal is to make sure every customer has a happy shopping experience, and even if you have already contacted the seller, I wanted to see if there was any way at all I could further help you with this issue.” Now to be fair I tried all the above and still had issue of the original screen protector moving. I just think that the original I got was demagnetized. Or just happened to passed quality checks when it shouldn’t have. They sent me a replacement screen protector free of charge. I told them I would update my original review once I got it. My replacement screen protector is so awesome 👏😎. As you can see by new video it doesn’t move at all. Can be taken on and off as needed. There is now no sacrificing clarity for a paperlike feel. So incredibly happy with this product. I’m so happy I got another chance to try this product can’t say how much I love it. So pleased with my replacement screen protector. ESR went above and beyond with their customer service. Thank you ESR ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ I wanted to Love this. After all I had just gotten new IPad Pro with an amazing vibrant screen. This would have given me the best of both worlds; (if it had worked) a paper like feel while writing and drawing, or amazing screen for 4k movies. However, if you watch the video (this video was taken down due to amazon only allowing 1 video per review and posted video of the replacement ESR sent) in top left corner you can see the magnetic screen protector is moving back and forth with every stroke of pencil, and it doesn’t matter how little pressure you apply it still moves. The magnets used just aren’t strong enough. I cannot tell you how annoying that was; especially since the video didn’t pick up the sound as it clicked against my cases edges. Now I due admit there is a little glare reduction but hardly any as seen by the photos especially when compared to my ipad with glass paperlike screen protector (this one is permanently attached and not available for 7th generation Pro). I just had to return this so wanted it to work.
