I decided to grab one of these cabin privacy covers for the camera inside the car. Install was simple, but the cover just doesn’t feel sturdy. Closing it over the cover doesn’t feel right, as the Tesla lens is raised, which makes the cover bulge out a bit over the lens. Granted these do seem to stay closed when you close them, just not sure how long they will last if you open and close one of these regularly.

This product does the job it's intended to, it blocks the interior camera on my Model Y completely. To install it properly, I would recommend using the service menu to bring up the interior camera on your car's screen, then watching while you line it up to make sure the camera can still see when the privacy cover is open. No matter what the edges of the image are a little covered, but you can still see the interior fine. One other caveat is due to the curvature of the camera housing, you'll have to install it lined up vertically. Overall this cover works great for newer Teslas with the larger interior camera lenses.

These work fine to cover the Tesla car camera; they're thin and light, and the adhesive seems to be working fine to hold it in place after a month. It's the second time I've requested a pack of camera covers, because it's easy to lose the second one after installing the first one. The circle fits perfectly around the camera in my Model X, and the slider allows me to run autosteer without the annoying nag but still flip it back open for FSD if I'm feeling it. No issues, no complaints, so 5 stars.

I realized auto polite won’t come on while the camera is covered, so keep that in mind if you’re wondering why it won’t enable. Also, the cover is thin enough to use for other purposes such as for covering a laptop or tablet camera.

This was installed on a 2023 Tesla Model X. The listing says "for Tesla Model 3/Y/X/S" (some of the text only mentions 3/Y, but it's fine in our X), but I don't think (?) there's anything Tesla-specific, or even car-specific, about it. I think it's just a tiny sliding cover that can cover any camera...assuming the space around it allows. I figured I'd put one in my wife's Model X, and the other one I could put in my car, or on one of our laptops, whatever. They are smaller than I imagined; the listing does have sizes, but there's a couple of likely-photoshopped images of a finger over the slider as they move it and man, my finger sure covers more of it than theirs does. Not that it matters; it only has to be large enough to cover a camera, and they are generally really small. Well, that and it should be easy to operate. It's clearly large enough to cover the camera; it could be slightly easier to operate if a little larger - at least for me. It could definitely be easier to install if larger, but then it might fit in fewer places. Which brings us back to where I'll install the second one. It turns out that my car's camera is behind glass with other sensors, so these won't really work there. And the bezels of both of our laptops are too small to install it without covering part of the screen. Hmm, maybe that's why they are targeting specific cars. I am sure there are laptops it will work on; although now I realize they might not close all the way with this cover on, even though it's awfully thin. Hmm, they have an interesting sizing dilemma. Anyways, back to the one in my wife's Model X. It was theoretically incredibly easy to install - just peel off the adhesive backing, and stick it on - though due to its size I had a little trouble holding it so that I could see where the camera was, and make sure it was straight. But once on it's not so bad to use - and I doubt we'll be switching it often. And the color matches quite well; it blends in better in our car than in the photos in the listing. I don't think anybody in the car is going to notice that there's a non-OEM part up there. It's hard to get excited about, but it's hard to complain much either - it's doing what we bought it for.

I got these to cover the camera inside my Tesla Model Y so when I'm charging the car and I don't fee like I'm being spied on from Tesla. They are easy to apply to the car, just peel the sticky backing and apply the cover over the camera lens. The slider works great and I can keep my car private. The only issue is that when you cover the lens, you cannot activate autopilot.
