This screen works really well!! I love it my son’s iPad was destroyed!! So it was hard for me to remove the screen it had on but once I did and cleaned the glue really well I installed this one and it fit perfectly no bumps or anything it looks brand new again! Instructions to install were useful and easy to understand! It comes with a kit to help you open the iPad and install the new screen which were extremely helpful. Also customer service is THE BEST very responsive and helpful! It took me maybe 30 minutes to change the screen (because I had many tiny broken glasses) but sooo worth the money! And it comes with a screen protector!! It is worth every single penny spent! Looks very durable and my son is loving it Addindg the before and after pics of my son’s iPad. ( We did end up cracking a bit the screen during installation but customer service is the best and is sending us a new one in couple days which we are so thankful bc it was our mistake since they warned on the video not to press to hard when putting the screen which we obviously did) 😅 Best screen thank you!!!!

I seldom to leave product review but this is the first time I MUST leave a 10 stars review. My son's ipad had accident and the glass was broken. I ordered one replacement kit from another store at beginning due to a few dollars less (I thought they would be the same anyway). But so disappointed that the one I bought at first have useless tools. I have to use my old tools (iphone kits). And eventually was misleading by the instruction. Once I installed everything, it made my ipad in ghost mode and let me locked out for a few hours. I immediately ordered this one and it was delivered in the evening at the same day. Just a few dollars more, I got a full set of tools including a knife cutter, which is very useful to clean the glues around the edge. More important, I found the videos in the product description are really useful. It has a lot of details and warnings that I encountered during the process. None of the videos I found on youtube provide these details. Because I didn't watch the videos at beginning so I made a few mistakes. I tried to contact the seller via the email, they gave me support immediately (Chinese timezone). More over, I got video support later. Unfortunately I made a few mistakes so I have already broke a couple of components. Everything works fine, but I peeled the inner cover first and it has full of fingerprint. The seller is very kind to send me a new one the next day. And I also asked him about replacing the original touch button. I got very detailed instruction. I now have successfully installed my new glass with my original button (only original button has Touch ID). The knife cutter, and extra glue are extremely useful. If I buy independently, it will cost me almost 10 dollars. And I also got a screen protector This is the first time I really want to continue to buy from this seller, if they have some products I need. Right now they only sell replacement for apple product, I definitely will buy in the future (Like iphone battery replacement and screen replacement, I had a few experience before).

Son’s iPad screen was shattered and was no longer usable. I ordered a replacement with not much hope it would be fixable. After an hour of patiently watching video and using paper instructions it was replaced. It works great. Also, I asked a question to customer support and they quickly responded. Would buy again.
- Hulk122024-04-19Easy install - button doesn't read fingerprints (FYI)
Overall, the screen did what it was supposed to do, and had no issues with the install. The button works, but the fingerprint reader isn't built into this one. You can take the risk and swap over the existing fingerprint reader if you are more inclined to fix gadgets, but if you don't need it, this will work just fine. I would watch some youtube videos on how to get it installed before you start. General tips: The tweezer is plastic and pretty useless - very flimsy/flexible and not very sturdy to use. Use a metal one as the adhesive backing is easier to remove with a tweezer. I would also recommend having a magnetic screwdriver (small one for electronics like this) as the screws are tiny and it can help with the install as you have to hold the LCD (not the glass, but actual screen) up while you screw in a plate to cover the connections and such. A heat gun or hair dryer is also recommended to loosen the adhesive around the screen to take off. Clean up the adhesive with the razor to get all the glue out, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol before placing the new screen on top with the adhesive. And as always, just be gentle with all the connections. The wires/cables are not very strong, so if you twist it or anything like that, the cables will break.

I've replaced my sons ipad screen a like 3 times now, so I got the process down pat. Easy peasy. This last time though, the screen I received wasnt working properly. It would randomly select things on the screen, even after a disconnect/reconnect. I contacted the seller and they issued a replacement screen to me. Install went smoothly and everything works perfect. I should note, the glue on these screens isnt really as strong as Id like, so using the included tape/glue is a must. I also appreciated the included screen protector. Overall, good experience, good product, and good seller.

This kit comes with everything you need to replace the screen (except a heat source). If you are a handy person that can follow directions then this should work great and save you a lot of $$$. The product arrived about 12 hours after I ordered it! I highly recommend you watch a few different YouTube videos on how to replace the screen. I used a "rice bag" to heat the adhesive (a bunch of dry rice in a cloth sack), but you will definitely need some sort of heat source. The 2 top screws of the digitizer were hidden under some tape. Some videos address this, some do not. I was able to re-use the original button from the iPad so that the fingerprint reader would still work. I saw in someone else's comment to USE THE RED TAPE so I did, and found it worked great. It is not an easy install but it does work. Be slow and patient with the suction cup, and if your screen is shattered then you can put packing tape over it to get a better suction cup seal. Acetone does a good job at removing the adhesive goo (and tiny glass pieces) around the frame once the screen is off. I used the scraper with some torn paper towel soaked in acetone to gather it up. Take time to find and remove all the little glass shards in the iPad. I had the most trouble getting the orientation right when plugging in the ribbon cables during re-assemble but eventually they went in with a satisfying thunk. Good luck!
- RARD172024-05-25Easier to do that "experts" make it out to be
The screen worked perfectly. From watching videos I went into this a little intimidated, but it was extremely easy to do. If you are handing at all this shouldn't be difficult. I will say I have a heat gun so that made the process much easier, but I used this on an iPad 9th gen and the screen just came off like butter after 1 minute or so of the heat gun. The hardest part of the process was lining up the new connectors but that wasn't difficult in the least. It took me a little under an hour, but if I did this again I'm sure I could do this in under 20 minutes.
- srinivas2024-05-31Product worked perfectly and came with everything needed.
My kids cracked and then shattered their iPad screen. The cost to have it replaced was practically paying for a whole new replacement iPad. Instead I bought this screen and did it myself. Tools that came with this screen are all you need and the screen itself makes the iPad look brand new and original to turning it on for the first time again. In total the time it took was roughly an hour and most of that time was removing the shattered screen. I’ll never take any device into a shop to replace the screen or any part again because 1. It was just too easy and 2. It price to do it myself with this company’s screen replacement makes this an easy decision. there is no issue and overall touch sensitivity is like having a brand new iPad. It’s perfect
- HotHamWater2024-06-27Mind the cables
It took me two digitizers to get installed properly. On my first attempt I watched a couple videos on youtube showing how to install a digitizer but I didn't watch the video that is on this amazon listing. What I didn't realize is that this digitizer has some ribbon cables that need to be taped to back of the screen or they won't fold correctly. The ones I saw in other videos were already taped. So I got the whole installation complete and found that the screen wouldn't close completely because the cables were't taped which meant they weren't folding neatly. I tried to open it back up to fix the issue but the new digitizer cracked when i tried to remove it... ugh. BUT that's where this seller is awesome. They said to let them know if it breaks during install and they'd send a replacement. They asked for a picture, which I sent, and I had a new one a few days later. This time I did the cables correctly and it closed perfectly. One last thing to mention. The instructions say that you could have ghost touches. I had that issue on my second install. When i started up the ipad it would immediately touch all of the passcode buttons and lock me out of the ipad. I followed the instructions to open it back up, disconnect the battery, and reattach the cables, but the issue persisted. So i did it again, the next time I had to wait 5 minutes after i started it up since I was locked out, but as soon as the passcode screen showed it immediately touched all of the buttons and locked me out again, this time for 15 minutes... then i did it again, and I got locked out for 45 minutes... It was hard to test the touchscreen with the ipad locked but I found I could hold down the power button to bring up the shut down screen and once I had that screen open I could test if the power off slider and the cancel button were working. Even then it still took me another 4-5 attempts before I got the cables properly seated and working properly. It was SUPER frustrating and I considered giving up towards the end. So if this happens to you, keep at it. It might just take time.
- DB2024-07-01It's easy but time-consuming
My middle child broke their screen on their gen 9 iPad. When I called the major repair place it was 220 dollars to replace the screen when you can still find these new on sal for 260. I think the 20 some dollars is worth it. I watched a few YouTube videos on replacing the screen and while not hard is time-consuming. My child totally shattered the screen which made removal a total pain since it came out in tiny shards. The only extra things I needed from the kit are a hair drier and some rubbing alcohol to remove the adhesive. If you want touch ID to work you will need to look up how to transfer the original home button. Seeing as I don't intend on trading the device in at some point I used the home button already place on the screen. I did save the original should the screen break again at some point. Overall it's an easy but time-consuming process that anyone with a steady hand should be able to do.
