- Edger2024-06-03meh: UPDATE = Good.
the tools and the kit were good. instructions included were nice but not that helpful, easier to look up videos online. after install it seemed to be working. but shortly after i realized that ipad now turns off and on randomly and battery wont charge past 65%. i am going to keep working on ipad if it turns out to not be the battery and the result of some other issue i will edit review. UPDATE: So after working on this a little more i discovered that one of the prongs that makes contact with the battery coming from the mother board was bent in too far and was not making propper contact. Doing the best i could i tried to bend it back out and it seems to have worked beacuse ipad is functioning as it should now. it charges and does not reboot on its own anymore. updated rating to 5 star.
- thefuzz742024-05-09Great so far
Installed this yesterday. Old battery swelled up lifted the screen. Replacing it wasn't bad at all. I've done a lot of cellphones so this was no different. Just make sure you lift the screen from the left side. There are ribbons on the right side ypu may break if not careful. Also, ylu must lift the logical board where the battery connects to. There is a donut like hole that you must lift over the peg. Just don't use force. You could break it. Of you have any doubts, get on youtube. There are a few videos.

- Vint2024-01-07Good battery.
It’s fit perfectly with my ipad air. It’s light weight. The tool includes with packages enough to work. Only thing you need to buy is heat gun.
- Dale2024-02-21Not 30 days in
So this battery worked great and was easy to install. 30 days later the battery won’t charge most of the time. Percentages jump all around. iPad shuts down randomly etc
- Jay2024-05-13Good!
It saved my ipad. Install was not very hard if you follow the steps. Fits perfectly on my ipad and the battery works great. Happy with it.

My iPad Air (Gen 6) was really struggling with battery life. On a good day, I could get fifteen minutes before it just shut off, not even a "low battery" warning. On a bad day, it wouldn't even charge when plugged into the wall. I was debating between replacing the whole iPad or just the battery when I found this offer. I went ahead and ordered the battery replacement. At first blush, this battery replacement looks like a good kit. It does come with instructions and with a lot of materials that seem to be decent to high quality. However, upon reading the instructions, I was a bit put off from the start. The instructions encouraged me to watch iPad battery replacement videos, but it didn't tell me which ones would match what it had provided. Turned out that all of them expected me to have a tablet heating pad, which I did not. I attempted to improvise with a normal heating pad and a hair dryer, but the instructions simply told me that I could heat it to 60 without a problem. 60 what, Celsius? How much was that in Fahrenheit? Things only got more challenging from there. I was supposed to cut the adhesive. Where was the adhesive? How would I know if it was soft enough? It suggested using the plastic card it had provided, but that was quite floppy and the corners deformed almost as quickly as I could work it into what I hoped was the correct seam. The metal pry bar tool worked better, but the instructions did have a warning to "not insert it too far." What was too far? They didn't even give me a size estimation! Part of the process was to attach a suction cup to the glass screen to pull it off. I figured I'd try to pull and cut at the same time to make it easier to find the gap. However, there was a defect in the suction cup that meant it did not actually suction to the glass. I had to clean off the suction cup first, then tried to press it down securely to the glass. It was at that point that my thumb punched the suction cup straight through the glass of my iPad screen. This thing had endured YEARS of being pawed at by my cats and dropped on the ground, but one suction cup ended it. Thankfully, the new iPad was on its best sale ever. I ordered that and picked it up the very next day. Does this work as an iPad replacement battery? No idea. Get someone who has the correct tools and appropriate knowledge to replace your battery for you, at least if you can't afford to replace the iPad completely.
