    These are pretty awesome!!

Govee has honestly impressed the heck out of me! I had been eyeing this brand for a long while, had their lights in my wishlist for ages, reading updated reviews, etc. We were gifted a set of RGB "smart bulbs" by another brand. Those were a royal nightmare, and let's just say.. They did Not want to stay.. Cynced. It was an absolute headache every day we had those! We finally took a chance and got these, and I was hesitant that we would have the same issues with Govee that we were having with the other brand. However, let me just say... These lights are a dream! An absolute dream! There is no fuss, no muss, and so far they have stayed working beautifully with Alexa and from the app! The set up was straight forward and super easy. I did run into a snag on Alexa's end, where even when I removed the old brand, they had readded themselves, somehow. So I was having a lot fuss with "The lights not wanting to work." It took some figuring out what the hang up was, because I named the lights the same as what the old brand lights were. Of course it won't work if you don't even have the old lights screwed in, and you are yelling at Alexa to turn the dang lights on. I have seen complaints about the app, but honestly.. I very much prefer it compared to the last brand's that we had to fight with on the regular. The Govee app is much more responsive, easier to customize your lighting, and has way more features.. It just works and runs much better, over all! I have managed to get the colors yellow and others to show up on the bulbs that some reviews said they struggled with. You have to really play around with the settings to get a wide range of colors available at your finger tips! Compared to my basic RGB led kitchen cabinet lights, I can get by far more range with the rainbow of colors on these light bulbs! The only downside I have run into? We have an older model 3 bulb ceiling fan in our dining room, to which I set up only one in. It does cast a bit of a shadow in some areas so one bulb is not enough. But that is unfortunately a downfall of having an older fan that needs replacing in the 90's, lol. I also wish Govee offered a slightly smaller size of these. The bedroom ceiling fans take the smaller a19 style, so when I tried to put these in, I was unable to reattach the light cover without it hitting the bulb too much. We have had these for a little while now, and they have not disappointed! If Govee keeps providing great products and any customer service, if it is ever needed, I will definitely be purchasing other Govee products that I have saved in my wishlist, as well!!!

    Nice Bulbs

I've been using the Govee Smart Light Bulbs for some time now, and I must say, they're absolutely fantastic. These bulbs offer a wide range of features that truly enhance any living space. Whether you're looking for a cozy glow or a vibrant party atmosphere, these bulbs deliver. The music sync feature adds another layer of excitement. I love how the bulbs change color and brightness in sync with the music playing in the room. It's a fun way to enhance any listening experience. Setting up these bulbs is a breeze. Unlike some competitors, there's no need for a hub – simply connect them to your WiFi network and you're good to go. The Govee Home App makes it easy to control the bulbs from anywhere, whether you're at home or on the go. They are also much more affordable! I've purchased this bulb multiple times now, and I've never been disappointed. Overall, I highly recommend the Govee Smart Light Bulbs to anyone looking to add a touch of color and convenience to their home. With easy setup, vibrant colors, and a range of exciting features, these bulbs are a must-have.

Awesome UI, Except it has a Mind of its Own.

I bought these to replace my Feit bulbs I got from Costco. Build quality is great. Setup is WAY easier than Feit. Interfaces with Google Home well, and is super easy to use. Huge customizable app interface which is worth the price alone. However, randomly, it would start having a mind of its own and randomly dimming down and getting stuck in this “sunrise,” type effect, over and over throughout it the day. Not sure what it was about. But reset the bulb and it’s been fine.

Govee APP works great with Alexa

These lights are awesome, our whole house is connected with govee lights. They’re easy to use, they’re Alexa compatible and the app is awesome. The sets are not expensive and fun to change the vibes of any room.

Single handedly the best lightbulb I used

In the past, I’ve had another lightbulb that was smart and the software for it was incredibly bad. This lightbulb is really easy use and it works almost instantly with Alexa in your phone. It feels really nice to sit under and the quality is there both physically and software wise. While I’m not sure of the energy efficiency(but it’s definitely high I mean it’s an LED) it’s a great value for your money. And some of the best lighting around.

    Govee is my goto now.

I have a couple of KMC bulbs. I can't bring myself to spring for Phillips. These are considerably brighter than the KMC and they do all kinds of crazy things. They have themes, they can sync to sound... I'm going to have fun with these. the app could be a little simpler to navigate, particularly the scheduling part (it's under automation) They were super easy to connect and link with Alexa though.

    Absolutely Worth It!!!

I bought these initially to put in my bedroom to have soft lighting at bed time. I just ordered a 2nd 4 pack. I have opted to put these in my room, my children's bedrooms and my living room. My children absolutely love choosing the color for their night light each night. I have them in overhead lighting but with the app and being able to dim the down it's more of full room color glow so my kids have no issue going to sleep and no more saying they are scared at night. I have one in my living room I set to a deep purple color and dim all the way down for a night light in case I need to get up during the night or after my kids are in bed. I love the ease of use from my phone. They are all connected via Bluetooth and wifi so all I have to do is leave the switch on and I can use the remote feature of the app to cut them on and off or change the color appearance or the dimming effect. The light bulb themselves are made of a great material and fit any regular lighting fixture. They also have cool voice activated/music activated themes or you can make yout own presets. I plan to add a few more to the house and ultimately to my classroom next year. I would totally recommend these for ease of use.

Not perfect, but offers more lighting options

My husband and I first started with Phillips smart light bulbs, there is a pretty big feud between the two brands (Phillips vs Govee) so I thought I would share my comparisons between the two to help anyone on the fence on which one they should go with. I would say the biggest differences between the two are: Connectivity: We never had issues with our Google home hub being able to control our 3 Phillips light bulbs, whereas with Govee it is literally every time we try to use voice to turn on the lights there is always one or two off, sometimes it won't turn on at all while showing on our hub that it is on, and if you try and turn them off or adjust the brightness it snaps back to being 100% on without them actually being on and you just have to go into the Govee app to control them. However, this led to my husband and I arguing a bunch because I wanted the Phillips light bulbs back and he wanted to stay with the Govee, we found a compromise that was purchasing a cheap stand lamp from Walmart and weirdly I've had connectivity issues between the 3 Phillips bulbs and Wiz ever since, no voice control just trying to use the app to turn them off and on and also with the schedule setting automatically trying to turn them off and on, I have no idea why. So it could be that connectivity greatly varies between the two depending on your light fixture (maybe something to do with voltage or wiring?), potentially how close and far your things are to one another (the lamp is further from the home hub vs our ceiling fan is closer), and I've even noticed that weather and it seems like humidity seems to influence it. Reliably during heavy thunderstorms and when our smart thermostat is reading high humidity in the house I have severe connectivity issues between both Govee and Phillips smart bulbs. Brightness: Govee is considerably more dim than Phillips bulbs. I was actually able to keep my indoor plants super happy with Phillips and they immediately stopped thriving when we switched to Govee, which is why I wanted to switch back to Phillips (connectivity issues aside). This makes them unusable as growlights and they also don't even offer a growlight mode in their app, you can set the color to purple but that is even more considerably dim than having it be white. I've found that the Phillips works better on bright white than growlight mode anyway, but it's still nice that Phillips is happy to also function as a grow light in general, if you care about that. The dimness of the Govee isn't so bad that you will feel like you are in the dark or anything like that, but if you're ever working on something where you need a bright light to be able to see what you're doing (I like to do puzzles and diamond paintings) I struggle with the Govee, and in general they feel more like mood lighting and create more of a calm atmosphere especially on the warm yellow setting. I keep our office on white, leaning more towards cold white, so I can see everything I'm doing in there. I've found that max cold white looks weird and makes my eyes hurt like there is too much blue color in it or something. Controls: Only one account can control Govee lights with Govee whereas Phillips allows more than one account to connect and control lights, and the way that they do it is secure with one account being the main account that allows access to the lights from other accounts (the main account gives you a code to join the "family" with). I'm not sure why Govee doesn't offer this, maybe it can cause security issues? Who knows. But it hasn't been a huge issue, I just signed into my husband's account, I've signed in once and it has never made me sign in again to verify that I'm me or anything, we can both use the app at the same time just fine, there has been no downside to using one account for two people. Lighting Options & Color: Govee offers considerably more lighting options and more creative ones at that, the lights can cycle through colors and have different blinking patterns or listen to sounds and change with the sound. My husband prefers Govee for this reason and likes to mess with the lights like they're a fidget toy. Phillips has some colors and different color modes to choose from as well as brightness settings, but beyond that it is just on/off and the color presets it does offer are less interesting and fun in comparison. The colors with Govee lights are also much richer and deeper in color, I think how dim they are is actually why this is, with Phillips being more bright and producing more white light than anything else the colors appear very white/desaturated. CONCLUSION: We just use both and like both for different reasons. I have my Phillips growlight lamp and then the rest of our house uses Govee. When I'm doing something that needs a lot of direct light, I have a moveable table that I just move more directly under the light so I can see better.
