This is my absolute favorite feeder ever! I have had this for years now and it is still working perfect and it still looks brand new. The only thing I don’t like about it is the military time but it is so easy to figure out I went online and I googled military time clock very simple to figure out. You can use your voice for your animal if you want to say something when the food comes out and make a little recording you don’t have to use it and you can also mute it if you want. It comes with four meal times breakfast lunch dinner and a fourth meal. It comes with a Usb plug-in cord for an outlet or you can use electric went out you have a back up and your fur baby won’t miss a meal. Or just use whatever you want batteries or the Usb plug. If you are just using batteries there’s a low battery light that will come on to let you know that the batteries are going low so you know its soon time for fresh batteries. It takes 3 D batteries. I love that you also can set the meal portion size (the amount of food you want to come out) and for each time it can be different from 1 to 39. So you’re of the portions 39 is an awful lot, but check it out the sizes and how much comes out and play around with it, so you see how much comes out for that portion. 1 isn’t much at all 2 is small portion but see for yourself because like my cat is on a special diet due to a health condition so you see how much comes out of the portions. I have had feeders that cost $100 and to $200 from pet stores and this is by far my favorite one! And don’t get upset about the military time you’ll get used to it, Google it and write down somewhere like I did and you’ll have it saved. The instructions are very easy and there very helpful. I don’t use the recording anymore because I can hear it from upstairs- my cats morning portion when it comes out and it wakes me up before I have to go to work lol so I want to teach you guys about the recording feature what I do because there is no mute or volume, or turn on off, so if you no longer want to hear a recording you hit record and don’t say anything for a brief few seconds and it’ll record over your recording with nothing if that makes sense?then when and if you want to record again make a new one. Of course don’t be in a room with music or tv on, but when I’m on vacation I record a new one it back on when he has a sitter coming by 2x a day to watch him so he can hear my voice or if I’m gonna be gone a long day and night, very easy too you hold down the microphone button and you record let it go when you’re done recording and it’ll play every time the food comes out . Talk real loud some say that their recording is too low mine was actually pretty loud. Your little fur babies gonna love this and hearing you talking to him especially when your not home. It’s so cute because there’s a little sound that happens before my portions come out when I don’t use the recording on mine and my little baby knows when is food is coming and he runs towards it, and he sits at it waiting sometimes because he knows the food comes out lol. The other great plus of this machine the animals cannot put their paws up inside the machine to grab food a lot of feeders that’s what happens animals can get in it and grab food there’s no way possible your animals gonna get inside this to get food. This is also very easy to clean and it’s actually very cute. Had a few that were very ugly looking actually in very tacky. This Not take up a lot of room and it’s very stylish actually. I hope your fur Baby and you enjoy your new feeder as much as we do. 🐾 Cons: #1 The portion controls just go from 1 (they do go up high enough) but not marked so you have to eye it, like me my animal has a health condition so he has to have a certain amount like 3/4 cups a day- so it would be nice to be marked, but I figured it out by the 4 Servings a day I use and the amounts I I chose, I weighed them and played around till I got it right. #2 con- Then the dark top doesn’t allow for you to see how much food is in it so you have to keep checking it and opening it up to know when it’s time to put more food in. #3. military time. These 3 cons aren’t deal breakers for me especially how reasonably priced this was and how long this feeder has lasted me and held up. I added pictures in my review. I put them in another room and took em and I threw some food in the bowl part to show how it looks with food in in it - because as small as it looks it can fit a large amount of food. My friend has a big dog and bought this feeder and loves it. I hope my review helped everybody out. 🐾 🐶 😻
- Ev2020-01-12Great automatic dry food feeder
Effective and economic (compared to other options) automatic dry food cat feeder! Easy to understand and program, runs off batteries or included USB and wall plug. Optional sound recording to alert pets, easy to fill and holds a lot of food. Easy portion sizes, can do 1 which is like a snack all the way up to 39 which I’m not sure what you would need that for but that’s cool. Has low battery alert sign to let you know when to change, fairly easy to clean all though I wish it was a little easier to take apart but it works well. I got 2 for my cats to feed while I’m at work and to help curb some of the meow meow meow feed me at all hours of day and night. Works well, cats respond to it. Although i watch my cats on a camera and it seems my skinny cat and my fat cat have made a deal the fat one gets all the food..... or the skinny one is afraid of the fat cat.... but the feeder works well. Only thing is maybe if the power went out and stayed out for a bit you might lose your settings and miss a feeding but it’s easily reset. 4 meals so I somewhat split up my animals meals so the skinny one has a chance to eat they get 1/2 their portion at 6 am and the other half at 7 am and likewise at pm so the skinny one has a chance to eat before fatty comes over and steals food. I’ve had them for a while and it says batteries usually last a year. My cats can’t break in and even when they rub on them etc it doesn’t affect the feeder. One of mine broke I think from fat cat smashing his head on it or potentially water from the fountain next to it and they promptly sent me a brand new one 2 days later free after contacting them here on amazon. I would definitely order from them again if I have more cats or recommend them to cat owners! I also have a cat mate wet food feeder which I love as well.
- Scott C2021-02-08Nigh indestructible and very customizable, but...
Points for being just about impossible for a pet to get into and having an insane level of customization around portion sizes, everything else is pretty bad. 1. Programming this is a pain, and you have to do it every time it gets unplugged, which will happen a lot because the AC adapter it comes with is flimsy as all get out. You'll also be unplugging it yourself at least once every two weeks because the clock has gone out of sync, it's started randomly dispensing food, or some other electrical gremlin has made an appearance. 2. The 3l food capacity will last for a while if you have one small pet, anything more than that and you'll need to fill it often. And if you get more than one of these things to solve the problem, plugging them in at exactly the same time like I did, they will almost immediately go out of sync causing food aggression over the one that goes off first. 3. They look ridiculous... Bottom line, if you have a large/destructive pet who gets into any food storage container with ease, this might just be your solution. It really is impressive on that front. If you have one or (especially) more small pets and just need a reliable way to feed them all at once, go for the TTPet bluetooth feeder. It holds more food, looks better, is much easier to program via app, and i can personally vouch that three of them will stay in perfect sync.

This has been feeding my cat two meals a day since 2018 with never a single problem. I have it plugged in but also have the batteries installed as a backup, and it has worked perfectly through every power outage too. Literally zero complaints, and an excellent value.

I was looking for an affordable and reliable automatic feeder for my cat and this has worked great for us so far (it has been about 1 month). A few things about setting it up are confusing, but it is very simple and low-maintenance after that. I really like the ability to set meal size, meal time, and which meals are on/off independently. The included instructions are not terrible and it holds quite a bit of food (maybe a month's worth for my cat). A couple of tips: - The portion setting is a little confusing to figure out initially. I recommend putting the measuring cup you normally use for a serving into the bowl and manually dispensing portions until it is filled. Keep track of how many portions it takes to fill and then divide a day's worth of portions into how ever many meals you want to feed. - The top of the feeder is a little difficult to remove (particularly when the feeder is empty); I recommend sitting and holding the base between your legs (or having someone else hold it) and twisting the top half of the spherical section with both hands. - The only setting the feeder will remember after a power loss is your (optional) voice recording, so you will want to install 3 D batteries (not included) as backup before you leave for any extended period of time. - If you live in a smaller place and/or feed your pet near your bedroom, you probably won't want to set it to dispense food overnight, as it is a little loud. - This feeder can only dispense dry food, so if you are also feeding wet food, you will need to adjust the portion sizes of the automatic meals and/or turn a meal off to account for the extra food.

I have two cats - one 10.5 lbs and one 7.5 lbs - and feed either Blue Buffalo or Nulo, which are both small in terms of kibble size. The cats get along and both of them can eat at the same time. Quick set up (if you can program an alarm clock and press two buttons at the same time you can program this) and pretty precise measuring as others have mentioned. I tested 8 size meal dispensed with a 1/3 measuring cup and it was accurate to a teaspoon. Helpful to know: 1. The mic speaker to record a greeting is on the bottom. If you want your playback to be a decent volume, lift up the feeder and speak directly into it. 2. The 1-39 meal size settings correspond to grams, where 1 = 5 grams and 39 = 195 grams. It's not exact, but for a close comparison you can use a cup to gram conversion chart for AP flour (see google), where 1/3 cup is 43 grams, or a "8 size" meal. To feed my two cats 2/3 cup each (4/3 cup total) per day, I do a total of 4 "8 size" meals. YMMV. 3. The lid stays pretty firmly on - even if it tipped over the kibble would stay inside. 4. It's easy to skip a meal if you want to feed wet food - before meal's preset time you switch the meal to "off", then once it's past your preset time, switch it back to "on". Things I wish it did but am not going to complain about since it was a great price: 1. I wish the "manual" meal size was adjustable. Instead it will only give a 5 gram snack. If you wanted it to dispense a full meal on-demand, you'd have to press and hold the "manual" button for three seconds and wait for the 5 grams to dispense 8 times, or whatever size your usual meal is. 2. I wish the black part was somewhat see-through so I easily see when I need to refill it. 3. I wish the bowl was bigger and/or detachable. If the food dispensed scatterwise onto a feeding mat, my cats would eat slower. 4. I wish I could plug it in but also have batteries inside for backup if the cats unplugged it or there was a power outage.
- Sara2019-04-23My cat can't break into it.
And that means a lot. My cat demolished a Petmate one, so I had to give up on the dream of an automatic feeder and sleeping in mornings. My cat is a food monster, and must be on a strict diet. She has tried to smash this thing, but has failed for several weeks now. I do keep it wedged so she can't knock it over and get to a few loose pieces, but I think it would definitely survive tipping without giving up the entire supply of food. It was super easy to set up; I'm not a tech person at all and did it within a few minutes. I can't say anything about the battery life because I've only had it for a month. The food portions get fairly small, which is good for an air fern like mine, who can stay a good weight just by looking at food. She normally eats 5 tablespoons a day and with this I've stretched that out over four meals a day. I'm still just baffled that she can't get into it. She has destroyed much larger and more expensive machines. Really, I bought this because I thought it was cheap enough to fail. But it has survived the monster that is constantly convinced I am starving her. This is great for my erratic schedule and her stress level. This thing needs six stars for resisting my beast. UPDATE: I've been using this for months now, and while I won't downgrade my rating completely, I will say that there are a few improvements that could be made: 1. It needs to be easier to clean. Wiping the bowl area out with a cloth really isn't a thorough clean. Ideally, it would have an insert that could be removed and properly sanitized. 2. A way to see into the food container. It's not obvious when it's running out of food, and twice now I've run out without knowing. Having a small window isn't going to significantly oxidize the food. 3. I wish it would save the settings after being unplugged, even for a short period of time. I've had a few times when I've had to completely reprogram the whole thing because the plug was separated from the USB cable momentarily. I suppose I should put in batteries, I'm just worried about them dying and the cat not being fed, although this seems to be more an issue with the food running out.
- Myumbella2024-06-04Bad smell & app malfunction
This product advertised to dispense 5g per portion. I was excited to try because it is very hard to find feeder that dispenses 5g at smallest portion. Initial impression upon opening the box, I detect a strong plastic odor. It was not pleasant. And it is not easy to open and close top part of the feeder when you must refill. When I shake the machine, food just spills out ever so easily. That meant that food is not sealed properly, exposed to air and bugs. I connected feeder and set it up on my phone, dispensed 1 portion and I see that it was roughly dispensing about 15g, and also indicating that “device is abnormal” on my app. I contacted company via email, and my last email from the company said they were getting back to me yesterday but I’m still waiting. Thank you Amazon for easy return.
- Emily2024-06-04Done the job the last 3-5 years!
We purchased our first two about 5 years ago, two more 4 years ago, another one 2 years ago, and 1 more about 7 months ago. They’ve held up pretty well, but we did finally have to replace one (and another is on its way out soon) but that is more so due to some extra beating taken from some of our cats rather than the feeder. We keep the feeders in a large plastic tote with holes cut out in the bottom to protect them from the cats constantly trying to knock them over. Since we have 6 cats, these feeders work well to allow for all cats to have ample opportunities to eat. We utilize all 4 meal times which is a nice feature. We like that they’re quieter than the metal feeders and that they allow for both battery and plug in operation (we do both in case one goes out before we notice it). A few things that are minorly annoying- they don’t all stay at the same time, so it does need to be corrected every once in a while. A minor issue for our lifestyle. They are also sturdy enough with the tote protecting them, but easy for a cat to knock around without it, and although the lid does screw on pretty well, it’s not fool proof. Lastly, since I have 6 feeders, I do note they do not all run out at exactly the same time. It’s usually close, but not exact. All feeders are set at the same number of servings at the same times but expect it to vary a bit. I assume some of that is due to a few of my cats spending their time knocking at the feeders for an extra couple bites of food throughout the day. Overall I do (and have) recommend a these feeders. I appreciate the price and features and have found them reliable enough to take trips without worrying my kitties won’t be fed.
