    So convenient

The price was amazing it holds enough coffee for me and my spouse because we use the big cups. It's so easy to pull up the lid and pour. it's fits great in small places.

    almost perfect

The only problem I have with it is, the first cup, tends to spill. As I'm pouring it spills until i get to the 2nd cup. Of course, I'm half asleep, so that could be part of the problem. I didn't have it with my previous coffee pot.

Nothing like a good cup of java in the morning

Works , bigger than I was expecting. Matter of fact this coffee maker is percolating in the background while I write this review this morning . Cost wise great . Functional . Does not leak, fast & makes a tasteful pot of coffee.

    Simple, attractive 10-cup drip coffeemaker

We've been using this model for years, and can no longer find it where they used to be: discount stores where they sold out immediately. We like it so much, we always have one at our cottage, too, so I was happy to find this at Amazon. We've never had one "die," but the heating plate starts looking yucky after a while. (I don't know why these companies all coat the plates with Teflon; it degrades and flakes off.) You CAN place a circular piece of aluminum foil there, which will eventually "mold" to the plate. For those who thought the on-off switch might be short-lived with daily use (it's not), the big box home improvement stores have adapters with an on-off switch, which you plug into the socket. Then you plug the coffeemaker into it and use the ADAPTER'S switch. One model's switch even lights up, like the switch on the coffeepot. This coffeepot is clearly not programmable, so don't expect that or rate it based on that. But if you want a simple, no-frills, drip coffeemaker, this is for you.

    Cord is too short

My coffeemaker died so got this one and it does make good coffee but I keep mine in an appliance garage. My kitchen cabinets and counter are stardard size/depth. The cord is so short I can't pull it out far enough to fully open the lid (which opens front to back as most. I'll have to resort to using a short extension cord but beware! Also if you are right handed as I am, note you have to hold the carafe in your left hand when filling water as that's the only way you can read the markings. Poor design IMHO.

    Fantastic gift

Bought this for my Mother for her Mother’s Day gift. She wanted a simple machine without too many control buttons and technology.. I t is a perfect machine for her and she states that it makes a great pot of coffee!

No auto-off, power light hard to see on side, unclear warranty. EDIT: stopped working in 4.5 months

Obviously, it's a great price for a coffee maker. It's replacing a slightly more expensive coffee maker, and there's a function I hadn't even thought about, that is missing. And that's auto-off. I hadn't even thought that as a feature to pay attention to, but after living with the functionality all my life, I hope our family can remember to turn this thing off. And second, the illuminated power switch is on the side. Thus, it's not really clear from the front if the coffee maker is on or off. I'd suggest that any coffee maker that doesn't turn have auto-off functionality should have a power light front and center, so it's easy to see if a coffee maker is still on. UPDATE: The size of a cup of coffee on this maker is 20% smaller than a cup of coffee from our previous 12-cup Mr Coffee coffee maker. So while we thought we were only going down 2 cups per batch (12 cup to 10 cup unit), we really went down by 4 cups from our previous maker. I can't help but feel the smaller cup size in this unit is an attempt to make an 8-cup coffee maker look bigger than it is, and call it a 10-cup coffee maker. I'm dining this unit another star for making us feel crazy about drinking coffee so much faster -- we assumed all coffee makers would use the same measurment for a cup. UPDATE 2: Just over 5 months of owning this coffee maker, and it stopped working. The light turns on, but it no longer heats up. It stopped working after making some coffee. It was luke-warm like an hour later. It now fails to make coffee at all. Both Amazon and Proctor-Silex don't even have a clearly posted warranty on this anywhere online. Regardless, the coffee maker has to be sent in if it is covered, and my guess is the cost to ship the broken coffee maker will be more than half the cost of buying this originally. More annoying is that the Proctor-Silex website doesn't even state the warranty period. They refer to a broken link, and say to just send the unit in, and if it's out of warranty, they'll tell you the cost to fix it. I think a big manufacturer should do better than that. It doesn't even state the warranty on the product page on Amazon, you have to email to get that information. UPDATE 2.1: Amazon added the warranty info to the page, apparently due to my request. So the good news is the warranty is a full year. The bad news is the cost for me to mail the coffee maker in for repair is $16.57 (w/o tracking), not much less than the cost to buy this new.

    Great inexpensive coffee maker

I purchased this because an old one stopped working after 20 some years. I use it in our camper and didn't want to spend a lot. Simple to use. The only drawback is moving the drip arm to remove basket and then move it back above the basket to add water.

    It's fine...except...

When our last coffee maker bit the dust, I did a quick search and ordered this one up. Right size for us - we're basically a "two cups and we're done" couple - and I like that it's compact and fits well under the counter. A couple of minor issues: The carafe is snug under in it's location so you have to pull it straight out, you can't have any angle/inclination or it will stick. But that's a piddling thing. The other thing - see the photo - is that the pour spout is off-center by a few degrees. I'm hoping this wasn't intentional - it's caused more than a few dribbles in the early morning. I still haven't gotten used to it, hope we do eventually. Other than that, no worries.

    Great basic coffee pot!

Love that it brews fast. I would like it to have a fill level window , it does not.
