If money is no object and strong reliable WiFi signal is the objective, this is the solution. Like many, I’ve transitioned to a work from home environment and more than ever need a strong reliable WiFi signal at home. For the first few months working remotely, I was fine using the dining room table as a make shift home office, but that was a temporary solution. I eventually relocated my home office to a spare bedroom on another floor. The relocation was an improvement in my personal life, but my internet speed suffered. Significantly. I was dropping calls, had slow download speed and needed to find a solution. Initially, I opted for a simple, inexpensive WiFi extender/repeater. The WiFi extender/repeater worked fine for a couple weeks and seemed like a reasonable solution. I actually reviewed that product very favorably. For the price (less than $50), it was a reasonable attempted solution, but like the dining room table as my home office, the repeater was a temporary solution. It required a shadow second network and the connection would bounce in and out. The repeater was a bandaid; I needed stable reliable internet for video conferences, data heavy downloads and uploads and I was paying for a lot that I wasn’t getting in certain areas of my home — mainly, my new home office! The WiFi extender worked, but only gave me about 60% of the signal I was paying for. I looked at Upgrading my internet package and then looked at a mesh system. The Orbi system was literally 10x the price of my prior bandaid, but WOW! 10x as good. Problem solved. Solid, stable, strong, reliable WiFi signal in every nook and cranny of my home. I went from unstable 60% signal strength to a blanket of strong reliable 99% WiFi connectivity throughout my home. I obsessively checked and rechecked Speedtest.net — bingo! No bouncing in and out. No checking which bandwidth or competing for signal; this product provides strong, solid, stable, complete WiFi signal through out the home. I’m thrilled and can’t believe I paid so much, but also can’t believe I wasted my time and money on anything else. The Orbi is next generation awesome. Easy set up, same network and while I worried I would need more of the signal/units to cover my 3000 sq/ft home given the experience with the WiFi extender/repeater, I did not. One router and one signal was plenty for my concrete 3 story home with the router tucked in the basement and office on third story. The app is easy to use, intuitive and frustration free. I am no tech guru and I had zero problems installing or making it work. This is a no brainer for anyone that needs a reliable blanket of WiFi signal through out their home. I considered other mesh systems but read reviews, did research and decided that this system was an investment in the next generation technology and would last the longest. With out question, it is among the most expensive solutions, but I have complete confidence that it is the best solution on the market at the time of this review. The WiFi signal strength in my home is now so strong that the WiFi picks up outside. If you have money to burn and are demanding of excellence, this is 100% the way to go. I read dozens of articles and watched and read reviews and talked to every tech person I knew before sucking it up and crushing my internet speed problem. If you are on the fence, go for it.

This mesh system features 3 channel conectivity for faster wifi. The system has a router and two satellite stations, which were surprisingly easy to set up. If you follow the instructions provided in the app as you install, you shouodl have few problems. Their tech support was very helpful the only time I needed them. The satellite staions have ethernet ports which can be used to connect other wired equipment or a wired "backhaul" to the router. The only issues I have had are occasional satellite disconnects, which requires you either reboot the equipment or push the reconnect button. The speed are good, I have a 200MB fiber connection and wireless speeds are in the 170 MB range. I would also recommend that you use the provided armor and bitdefender protection on the system. It is worth it! The app provides almost any thing you could need to manage your network, my only complaint is that you cannot change the user name to log in. I purchased my system as an "open box" sale and couldn't be happier.

This is a great product for Internet. It is fast and reliable. I have it in my house and also my parents house and it works great both ways. I have a house that’s about 1900 ft.² and I only need the router I do not need an extender. The 1900 ft.² trilevel home one router covers the entire home and all floors and I have no issue, however my parents home is about 2500 ft.² at ranch and my parents have an exterior garage approximately a quarter mile away from the house where the router is. I placed a Wi-Fi extender in the garage and now I’m able to get Internet out in the garage for the computer and also to stream Netflix in the garage. Extenders work perfect and give huge range. My parents have 6 acres and just three extenders. Allow us to have Internet in the entire yard with no lag and no issue. If there is any type of consumable the product it would be its expensive. However, if you look for deals such as Black Friday, you can get it super cheap for the product itself. It is worth the money.

The NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-band Mesh Add-on Satellite (RBS750) has been an effective solution for expanding the coverage of my Orbi WiFi 6 System. While it works great and has significantly improved the WiFi signal strength in my home, I was disappointed that I had to purchase it separately to achieve the coverage I needed. The performance of the RBS750 satellite itself is impressive. It seamlessly integrates with my existing Orbi WiFi 6 System, providing a strong and reliable WiFi signal throughout my home. Furthermore, setup and installation were straightforward, thanks to the user-friendly Orbi app. I was able to quickly add the satellite to my existing network and optimize its placement for maximum coverage. However, my disappointment stems from the fact that I had to purchase the satellite separately after finding that the router alone did not provide adequate coverage for my 2,000 square foot home. Despite the router's claim to cover 2,500 square feet, I found that it fell short in certain areas of my home, leading to dead zones and unreliable connections. In conclusion, while the NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-band Mesh Add-on Satellite (RBS750) is a highly effective solution for expanding WiFi coverage, I was disappointed by the need to purchase it separately after finding that the router alone did not provide sufficient coverage. Despite this drawback, the satellite has greatly improved the WiFi experience in my home, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking to enhance their Orbi WiFi system's coverage and performance.

This was an upgrade for an older Orbi and got it on "Buy used" for a great deal. Covers my house and the outside by pool and back yard. Signal is consistently strong throughout. Set up was easy and the app is intuitive.

A huge improvement over our failing single router system. Incredibly quick and easy set up. The two units are very attractive and slim enough to hide anywhere. The improvement in coverage and speed are roughly 4-5x what we had. No complaints.

I don't even know where to start on this review. I bought these three months ago to replace my 7 year old Google WiFi (1st generation). I spent a while researching different mesh systems, talking with friends, and reading input from the community. Ended up settling on this Orbi system. Walk through the various aspects of this mesh system: 1) Setup is reasonable easy. Thankfully seeing as how I have had to do it 4 times in 3 months. I will say, changing the network name is a bit of a hassle. You need to connect to the router WiFi network to set it up. If you change the name, the app will not automatically connect you to the new network, or be smart enough to adjust things automatically. You need to go into your settings, connect to the new network name, and then wait 5 min for the Orbi system to setup. 2) Performance wise, it is okay. Not great. Speeds are definitely higher than they were on my old system. I don't see a lot of dead zones in my house. My biggest issue here is that if the main router loses power, I need to do a factory reset and create the network again. That means going through the entire setup again for anything from a power surge, a power outage because of weather, or needing to manually turn the power off to the room because of electrical work. The routers restart, and only about half of my devices will reconnect. Even within similar apps (one Wyze camera will connect, one will not). I will restart the system, and then other devices will connect and be disconnected. It is absolutely ridiculous that I need to do a factory reset to get the network back working. 3) Customer support is an absolute joke. I forgot how bad it is. First off, everyone you speak too is borderline hard to understand. Guess the overseas connection isn't superb, go figure. Second, they give you 90 days support. So I spent hundreds of dollars on Netgear products, and after 3 months, they will not help unless I spend more money. Did not realize that before I bought the Orbi system otherwise I would. Have never considered them. Thirdly, the support they give is absolutely worthless. Two people I spoke to both told me to factory reset. And when I asked if I will have to do that everytime I lose power, I was told "No! Of course not!". What a joke. Avoid this at all costs. Might be good for some people, but not me. They have become glorified paperweights. Expensive paperweights at that. Should have just gone with the newer Google mesh. Least their customer support is good. And they stand by their products without asking more money for useless help.

the satellite arrived brand new in its original package wrapped and sealed. Initial I tried to sync it with my system RBK752 through the app but it kept failing everytime. Later I found out after going through multiple forms that the version on the satellite might differ from the one on router RBR750, and truly it was. I had to manually to plug the satellite node to the router via physical cable RJ45 and manually upgrade the satellite node to the latest firmware to match the one on the router. Now, it works perfectly fine!

The review from GUANGRONG ZENG under "Top Reviews from Other Countries" saved me. I made the mistake of buying the Orbi router/modem (CBR750) with no satellites, thinking my apartment was so small I wouldn't need a satellite. Big mistake, the wifi signal from the router in the living room did not reach the bedrooms in the back of the apartment. So I purchased the Orbi stand-alone satellite (RBS750). The instructions for syncing the satellite to the router/modem did not work at all (plugging the satellite in to an outlet and then pushing the sync buttons on the satellite and router). I kept getting the magenta light. So I followed the instructions from GUANGRONG ZENG (who got them from another reviewer). The only change I had to make, was that I found the specific IP address of my satellite in the Orbi app after I had connected the satellite via ethernet. I then entered Admin and Password as the username and password. It then took me to the page in the first image. Next step was update the firmware. I found my router's firmware version in the orbi app under router settings. Then I kept uploading the wrong file (CBR750 instead of RBS750). Once I get the right file uploaded, the firmware updated. See the second image. Then I refreshed and saw the third image. I then refreshed the Orbi app, and instead of saying "Satellites: 0 of 1," it now said "Satellites: 1 of 1." I have copied the original review below so that people can see all of the steps. Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2023 Verified Purchase I've had good luck with my Orbi 750 system but wanted to expand the coverage with this satellite. I spent over 2 hours trying to get this to sync with my system with no luck. This is what I ended up having to do, and I’d assume this will work for whomever runs into this issue. • Start by plugging the new satellite into the Orbi router with an Ethernet cable. Plug the new satellite into power and wait for it to boot up (usually 2 minutes). • Wait for the light on the satellite to turn blue and then turn off. • At this point open a web browser and log into the Orbis interface (192.168.1.1) enter your username and password when prompted, then select attached devices and find the IP address of the new satellite. • Once you've located the new satellites IP address open a new tab and enter the new satellites IP address into the address bar and login (Username:admin/password:password). • Once you've logged into the new satellites web interface look for the firmware version and compare it to your existing Orbi firmware. If it doesn't match you need to manually update the new satellite firmware. • Open a new tab and search RBS750 firmware. Find the firmware version that matches your current system from the Netgear support site only (not 3rd party). • Once you've located the correct firmware download it to your desktop. When it's finished downloading extract the zip file to your desktop. The firmware file will end with .chk . Now go back to the browser tab for the new satellite and select firmware/update Firmware then select browse and navigate to the unzipped folder you downloaded and select the file ending .chk and update. This process can take up to 19 minutes. • Once the satellite is finished and there is no light coming from the new satellite unplug it from your router and place where you want it and plug it back into power. • After the light on the new satellite finishes blinking it should go blue for a moment then off. If the placement is poor you may get an amber light instead of blue and magenta if it's too far from the Orbi router. • This is how I got mine to work, I hope this helps someone in the same situation. After all this it works great for me.

I bought this after trying other systems and a MOCA and it's been Great and the least problematic part of anything. I have to reset my modem and ONT almost once a month and never have to reset this system. I get nearly 1gb and no lag. I have two satellites around the house. I am thinking of a third gor the garage so I could work outside on days I am doing paperwork. It reaches but I would also like it for outdoor security cams to have a non-constructed signal. So in conclusion. Has been great for three years, still going strong.
