I ordered this Leather Repair Kit to fix up a very worn office chair. The chair had major tears on the seat and armrests. Using one set of patch material, I was able to refurbish the damaged areas. See attached before and after photos. The patches were easy to cut to size and apply. The self-adhesive backing was sufficiently sticky to stay attached. This was a very effective and inexpensive way to salvage a badly damaged chair!

My trusty black leather recliner, a housewarming gift from my dear departed dad, had accompanied me to seven houses across three continents since it had first warmed a house. I wasn’t about to let a little wear and tear separate me from an old friend, so this product seemed like a godsend. Just a few minutes less than five was all it took to measure and cut this for a fit and finish worthy of the job. Check the two “before” shots versus the “after” one. I also covered a seam split under an overstuffed arm pad up front which isn’t pictured, but is nearly unnoticeable now. The adhesive seems to stick pretty decisively, so I have confidence in its permanence. I’ll certainly come back to this if it doesn’t hold fast. Keep old, comfortable friendships going longer with this stuff.

I was completely amazed at how well this repair kit works. I had a worn area on the driver's seat of my 2015 Dodge Durango and have needed it repaired. I wasn't willing to take the vehicle in to the repair shop to have the leather fixed. I was hoping that this patch material made of Faux Leather would work without too much notice. This Gecyfit is the exact pattern and color for the seat. I cut a section a little larger than the area that was worn. I followed the instructions which are very simple. Once it was on the seat I used my hair blow dryer for a stronger bond with the adhesive (I saw this on a video on how to use patches on car seats stronger). Before sitting on it, I did let it sit overnight to allow the glue to adhere as much as possible. This morning I went out to check on the patch. I was unable to tell where the patch started and stopped. I definitely recommend this leather repair kit.

Gecyfit’s leather repair kit is a good quality, thick leather-style material with a sticky back. It has a matte surface with a grain, and the backing peels off easily to reveal a full surface adhesive. I used this to repair an old office chair. However, the patch was much thicker and honestly, better quality than the “leather” on the chair, and it kind of stands out. This is a really good patch for thicker, higher-quality leathers, but not as useful on very thin leather-look vinyl. You can trim this to size, which is nice, but it is only 4” wide, so not ideal for large surface coverage. Just be cognizant of the base material you’re using this on, and I believe you’ll be satisfied. It’s an excellent product at a fair value.

So I had a small area on my headboard and this blended really well. However, I have a large area where it didn’t blend so well. It’s a different color black than my headboard. Adhesion is great.

It worked as it was advertised. The item I received was not in a roll as it was described in the website but the same length. It fixed a chair damaged by my cat nicely. It would be a waste to through away a chair with minor damage.

I needed something to cover a crack in my lawn mower seat. I didn't do the prettiest job, but this kit worked exactly for my needs. I just cut it to size and pressed on my seat and done! I like that it still sticks after hours of bouncing on my mower, and there isn't stickiness on the edges. This will get me a few more years out of my seat that used to get soaked. I have no doubt it would stick good on furniture and look good too. I hope this was helpful.

I picked this product up to do some cosmetic repairs on my driver side seat and armrest. It was on a 2008 Mercedes C350 with about 250K miles. The package provided me with plenty of repair tape and the color and pattern matched exactly, so I was happy there. I could have prepped the armrest a little more and removed the old cracking door trim and placed an underlayment to smooth it out, but I was just tired of getting poked by the armrest. LOL. Either way, it feels good now and I have enough tape where I can remove the current tape and do a smoother repair. I would recommend this product for sure. I included before and after pictures for reference.

Used it to patch s suitcase, and will use it on car seats. The listing doesn't explicitly say it, but its implied or safe to assume this is faux leather or imitation leather. Having said that, the look and feel is great ! Easy to peel and apply, and so far the glue seems to be very strong and fast, so apply carefully and you may not get a second chance to re-apply.
