    Very Stiff

This cloth is very stiff. It makes it difficult to get it into a hoop or lap frame at first, but you definitely can get it. I like that it is stiff because it holds up really well as you work.

    Very good basic aida

I like how the length and width counts are the same so the design is square, I used some other brands that were more expensive and the length and width weren't the same. It does have a bit more plastic like feel which made stitching fractionals a little tricky but I was able to make it work by using a thimble to protect my finger. I know some have expressed concerns about being able to dye it, I didn't dye but used fabric spray paint (Tulip brand) and it worked really well, however I didn't wash so I don't know how color fast it is, but the paint didn't come off when getting the water soluble marker off, also water soluble marker doesn't seem to come off quite as easily as it does on other aida but it does come off.

Very stiff Aida cloth - good and bad

This is inexpensive Aida cloth that some cross-stitchers will like and others not so much. It has a slight blue cast to it so is not pure white. The weave us very uniform and taut. Your stitches are almost guaranteed to be uniform. Most of these would be considered good qualities except maybe the bluish cast. On the other hand, the fabric is extremely stiff. It is so stiff it is hard to put a hoop on it. Also, trying to stitch a pattern with quarter or three quarter stitches will make your fingers ache. I have some arthritis in my hands and using thus fabric makes them ache the next day because the holes are so tight that pushing the needle through takes effort. If you do have quarter stitches on your pattern, have a sharp needle handy to "pre-drill" the insertion point because a blunt tapestry needle will never go through otherwise. So good and bad depending on your perspective. It is very inexpensive though which may be a factor for some.

A bit stiff but very workable

Even though this Aida cloth was stiffer than I’m used to, it works just fine for counted cross stitch.

    Love the this Aida fabric!

I’ve been looking for black Aida fabric every where and love that this came in pre-cut sheets! The fabrics nice and stuff like I like so be aware of that if you don’t like stiff fabric.. the black makes everything pop and I like the way the finished product looks. I’ll be ordering more when I run out for mor projects!

    Great as a beginner

I'm a super beginner cross stitcher, only just started my second project. My first project I did on a different aida from the craft store named after a biblical male. That cloth had a looser weave which made it difficult for me to count my stitches very well, and I was constantly stretching it to pull it back tought on my hoop. When I compare that cloth (Loops & Threads I think was the brand?) with this one, I REALLY prefer this Amazon one. I noticed immediately out of the package it looked higher in quality and after stitching on it this evening, it definitely feels that way in-hand, as well. The holes are very well-defined and it stays in place really well over my hoop. I only plan on framing my designs, so the stiffness other reviewers have spoken about is a non-issue to me. Additionally, the designs I am working on are on the smaller side, so I don't foresee the curve from packaging being an issue for me either.

    Good for the price.

Quality is midline, not great but not bad. Very stiff which is good for beginners. The weave lines up pretty well. Frays very easily so you'll need an edge management like masking tape or whip stitching or even the no-fray glue.
