    Great Yarn Bag

My wife got the HOMEST Crochet Bag and Yarn Storage Organizer to keep her projects in while she is working on them. It is a very basic bag, but there are several things she really likes about it. First of all, it is a well made bag--there are no visible flaws or bad sewing on the one we got. Next, it is not huge but it will hold a lot of yarn and accessories. The bag could also be used for other types of craft projects. Finally, she likes that the strap is long enough that she can wear it cross body comfortably. The bag has grommets that one can feed yarn through, but she has not used that feature because then the project would be on the outside and the yarn on the inside if she stopped working before the project was finished. This is not a flaw but just a matter of preference. The HOMEST Crochet Bag and Yarn Storage Organizer is a well made yarn storage bag that deserves five stars for quality construction and versatility.

    Better than I expected

Overall I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it. The "Made in China" label always makes me leery that the build quality will be poor. But so far, after using it for a couple days, I'm pretty happy. Pros: * It's about the right size for four balls of yarn, which is perfect for most of the knitting projects I do where I have to switch between colors. * The bag is softer than I expected, inside and out. * The yarn doesn't tangle (at least, not yet). * The side pocket is big enough for several needles, pins, and other tools of the trade. * The build quality is nice. The material is tough enough for expected use, there are no obvious defects in the materials or the stitching, the zippers work well. There's even some decorative stitching on the front of the bag that I wasn't expecting. Cons: * I don't have any cons, per se. But the shoulder strap it comes with is likely something I'm going to get rid of. The bag isn't big enough to hold a blanket or a sweater. It's really just for the yarn and such. So it's not heavy enough to worry about fatigue carrying it around and I don't plan on taking it hiking or anyplace I would need to carry it nonstop over long distances. I don't see a use case for the shoulder strap, but maybe others will.

    Smaller Than Expected

Construction of this yarn storage bag is good, but it is a bit small for my needs. It fits two one-pound skeins of yarn, but not much else, which is disappointing considering space to store my actual project is necessary for construction. The pocket, however, is very nice and holds lots of hooks and needles, counters, place holders, etc. If you typically crochet amigurumi or knit small pieces, this should work fine for you. If you're more a blanket/afghan crafter, you'll have to keep looking.

    Great project bag

This bag works perfectly for taking a yarn project on the go. It has spacious storage but isn't so big that it's cumbersome to lug around. It will hold 2-3 skeins of yarn, depending on the size, plus a small- to mid-size work in progress. I love the outside compartment for storing my crochet hooks, scissors, stitch markers, and other small items; it has plenty of space for all my small crochet accessories. I find the grommets for holding yarn aren't always practical to use; once you're working on a project you'll have to wait until the skein ends or you switch colors to take it away from the bag, otherwise your project will be attached to the bag wherever you go. But I do think they'd be useful in some scenarios, particularly for smaller projects or ones with many color changes. I'm impressed with the quality of this bag and believe it will hold up well over time. There are two choices of handles, for either top-carry or over the shoulder, and the longer strap is adjustable. This could also be used to carry any smallish items like for travel or carrying kids' toys when on the go. Overall I'm very happy with this product.

    Well constructed great size

I have four things of crochet thread in here and it’s quite spacious. Material is pretty thick and well constructed. My only concern is with the grommets to put your yarn through. It’s design so that you can hold it and wear it while working on a project which is great but once you thread your yarn through the grommets, you have to continue it done, and join the yarn later I mean, you can always run the yarn into the bag through the zipper. If you wanna keep it closed. This is just a general issue with all these types of bags, nothing inferior about this bag in particular. I personally don’t like the idea of doing that so I just use it to store my yarn and then open it when I’m working. If you don’t have small kiddos or cats like I do that, may be less of an issue. Overall, really impressed. It’s a great size without being too bulky and holds a lot.

    Very nice

This yarn holder bag is pretty great! Nice and sturdy, large enough for multiple skeins. It also has pockets for my crochet hooks and thread shears. Just have to remember to thread the yarn through the holes first before starting the project. This bag is great for keeping different colors separate and avoiding tangling.

    No room for your project.

The dimensions shown are correct, but the photo leads you to believe the bag will hold standard skeins of yarn, and it really doesn't. There is also no room for your project. The bag seems well made, and I would be very happy with it if it actually held full sized skeins.

    Nice bag

This is a good project bag for small to medium projects. I easily fit 4 skeins of yarn with room to spare- it holds all the regular skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn, for reference. If you like grommets, these are nice and smooth. The only thing I would change is to add some internal pockets in the front pocket to hold needles and hooks. Otherwise, this is a great bag and the price is right.

    Great bag!

This bag is great! It'll definitely come in handy for bringing yarn on the go. It's a little less structured, and a little bit smaller than it looks on the picture, but overall, I'll definitely get some use out of it!
