The tape goes down under the cutting part and no tape comes out. It gets stuck inside the cutter.

The tape dispenser is great with gold tape. It wouldn’t cut through blue tape (it does mark it), which is thicker, but it works fantastically with gold tape. I had to sublimate 10 large tote bags and I thought I would test the tape dispenser to help the process as each bag gets 4 slices of tape. I first tried the blue tape and found it marked it, but would not cut through, so I tried the gold tape and that worked great. I really like this dispenser. The tumbler items all seem like they will work great, I’ve been wanting to test out the bands. The gloves are good quality a bit thicker than some others I have gotten. Overall pleased.

This is a nice set if you're jumping into sublimating tumblers. It comes with all the tools you think you need when you get started. I like the tape dispenser because it cuts my tape for me, and I can pull it quickly when wrapping a tumbler. The dispenser is a craftroom must-have. I use the cradle a lot more than I use the clamp. I feel I need to use two clamps, and this set only includes one. I don't use bands, but I plan to test them now that I have a set. Overall this a great kit.

This was a great starter pack of sublimation items. The tape dispenser works GREAT. Easy to get the right size pieces and it cuts it for you. The gloves fit perfectly, and I like the wider heat tape. The silicone bands work to keep from ghosting and fit pretty snug. Overall, great set and would recommend.
