Befn using this since the 80s it's always been a great carb and general cleaner that is cost effective and works as described.

This product works very, very good for me takes all the old gas and carbon off the carburetors, plus it takes paint off also.

Worked pretty good on my Expedition. Seemed to help clean the intake, getting slightly better milage now.

This is a high-value, low cost, high quality product. It is a great product that I use for it's intended purpose -- cleaning carbs and choke valves. I have also found a lot of other uses around the house in which this product works great for: 1. I really like this carburetor cleaner. Gumout is a good brand name and it does the job. I work on small engines and cars and it has never failed me.

This nicely priced carb cleaner helped restore the rpms in my old Montero Sport. Saved a trip to the mechanics!

When I told a machine shop mechanic that especially for the last mowing of the season, I drained the carburetor by mowing the last few strips of lawn with the fuel oil valve switched closed until the mower sputtered to a stop, he said he never does that, and just sprays carburetor cleaner into the air intake and it always starts right up. He'll even spray it through the air filter. So last season with our 1-year old toddler as an excuse, I didn't remember to empty the carburetor through the winter. Come March and April my mower wouldn't start up. I panicked and bought this stuff and ran across the street to the lawn service working on our neighbor's lawn. They came over to my mower, and first opened the air filter and it was absolutely brown and dusty. Knocking the dust off on their boot, they left it off and sprayed this stuff into the hole where the air intake filter was removed, not even bothering to use the little straw. Then after a few big pulls of the cord, it started up without the air filter on. Then he shut it off, put the filter back on, and tried again. It took another few pulls, but the mower started up with the filter on too. At that point I let it run with the fuel valve turned close until the carburetor emptied. Next day the mower started OK (this is all with old gas from last season), and I put fresh gas in and changed the oil, and we're in good shape for the season. Glad this stuff and the lawn service next door saved me and my mower!

I've been wrenching on things since 1983 so you could say I am familiar with crab cleaner. You may be tempted to pick up some no-name crap spray at your local auto parts store, but Gumout is the brand to get. Recently found I was out of carb cleaner and tried using break cleaner instead. Brake clean just can't get into and eat at carbon build-up like Gumout can. There is no substitute. They have been making this stuff virtually unchanged for decades now, why go with anyone else? Jet sprays right to the very last drop left in the can too which is a huge plus.

So many products new and old to do the job this does. Clean gunk off of metal, in particular carburetors. I have tried several of the more expensive carb cleaners that I had seen video reviews on that claim to do miracles. I feel I have wasted my money on those other products paying two and three times as much with the same or worse results. Gummout has been around forever. I realize that there is a reason some companies last. They give the public a product that does what it says it will do. That is all we ask of a product. Aside from the companies that chose money over their customers and sold their name/brand off I will buy a name I know over one that I don't. It makes shopping easier and in the end, I save money. Even with all the current environmental laws Gummout has found a way to manufacture a cleaner that works. It still does the job, just not quite as good as it did in the past with the high voc content.
