So over the past couple weeks I had some things that needed sealing; rubber surround on shower door, leaky taillight on my truck, adding sealant where an aftermarket wire goes through the firewall on my truck. Each time the built-in mini nozzle worked awesome vs having to use those clear traditional nozzles that I have to replace after each job is done. Also this cap is built beefy. You can tell the cap is prob 50% or more material vs the one that came with the silicone tube from Loctite. Def seems like it will be able to be moved to a new tube once I’m done with this one. And prob best part of all, the tube isn’t drying out between each time I’ve used it! Just pull that lil rod / plug thing out of the business end of the cap and it’s time to go fixing stuff vs running back out to a famous big box store to buy a new tube. In that regard this thing is already saving me time and money. I’ll def buy a couple more for any other new types of squeeze tube sealants I get.

I no longer consider a tube of silicone sealant/RTV a single-use item! Seems like every time I try to use a tube that I had previously opened,(with the original cap installed and plenty of silicone still in the tube) it would be dried up or have a hardened plug that I have to extract and cross my fingers that it will still squeeze out as it should. If that doesn't work, your options are to cut it open and deal with that mess, or go buy another costly tube. I came across these Silicone Saver caps while buying more sealant (cheaper here than my local auto parts store) and decided to give em a try. So far, so good!! No dried up tubes...saving me time and money, makes it easy to lay a clean bead, and its reusable. Really glad I found these, Highly Recommended!

I have found these work well. However nota good thing for commercial work. I will usefor more expensive tube's but not for routine and everyday type of caulk
