    We use it every day

This is a great play mat! I was thinking that it would be thicker because of the mention of "no more puzzles" in the product listing. I assume that the reference is to those thick foam play mats that fit together like (large and terribly aggravating) puzzle pieces. I have those puzzle pieces and we never use them because, if you have a baby of an age to use a play mat, you probably do not have time to put the puzzle pieces together. So, just be aware that this mat is not as thick as the big foam puzzle piece style play mats. I happily trade off that bit of thickness for the increased ease of use of this mat. Unlike our giant foam puzzle pieces (those of which that haven't been eaten by raccoons are collecting dust in the attic), we use this foldable play mat every day. Think of this play mat as a nice, super super thick quilt (but made of a more water resistant material than a quilt) with a cute design on the top and grippers on the bottom. You just spread it out like a quilt and, if it gets dirty, throw it in the washer. BTW, have you ever tried to wash a stained giant foam puzzle piece play mat? Because I have and it is absolutely horrible - those puzzle pieces are porous and the stains don't come out. I left them outside to dry overnight and evidently raccoons just love them.

    Easy to Clean!

I love that I can feel good about leaving my baby to play on this. Its the exact size of her play area and makes for a perfect fit. The extra cushion is nice.

    Moderate padded play mat

I got the submarine world pattern play mat. The play mat isn’t fluffy right out of the bag but after washing it and letting it air out for a couple of days the play mat was ready to use. What I like: Pattern is cute and attention grabbing The play mat is soft Is lightweight and packable The backside of the mat has a non slip backing Is machine washable What I don’t like: Not as padded as I would like. I use this on top of foam padded mats so it’s not a big issue. Packaging is not as presentable and giftable. It just comes vacuum sealed in a plastic bag.

    Good Quality, But Some Drawbacks

I purchased this play mat for my little one, and overall, it has some positive features. The thicker foam provides excellent cushioning, which is essential for a baby learning to crawl and play. The non-slip back ensures safety during playtime, and I appreciate that it's odorless. However, there are a few drawbacks. First, the size is a bit smaller than I expected. At 50" x 50", it's not as large as some other play mats on the market. Second, the design is quite plain. I wish there were more colorful options or patterns to engage my baby's visual senses. In summary, this play mat is decent, but it could be improved. If you're looking for a basic, no-frills option, this might work for you. However, if you want something more visually stimulating or larger, consider other alternatives.

    Soft, Safe and adorable

This playmat is 50x50 inches, which is a good size. The construction design is adorable. The mat is thicker than a lot of other playmats I’ve had in the past. Well-made. Provides a safe place to lay your baby for tummy time or crawling or even a soft place to change a diaper.

    It's well padded!

Finally, a reasonably well padded mat. There are so many of these play mats available now but the vast majority are extremely thin and serve only as a floor protector, not for safety of the baby. You'll likely still want a supplementary interlocking foam mat underneath for a hard floor but this is significantly more plush than every other one I've tested so far. The filling is actually thick enough to be compressed by the quilting.

    Works as intended

This Lasoftan Baby Play Mat is a great product to place on top of a carpet or rug to protect them from your little one's messes, due to the slightly repellant bottom coating. The play mat arrives vacuumed sealed so tightly that it feels like a piece of hard particle board. Once freed of its vacuum seal, it feels much more like a play mat. However, it's still pretty thinly padded, so it won't be super comfortable for baby directly on top of hard flooring (wood, tile, concrete, etc.). I think it works best on top of a rug or carpet for the extra padding. Due to the play mat not being too thick, it's easy to throw into the washing machine for a cleaning.

    Decent quality

The rainbow print is cute, and the mat seems to be of pretty good quality, though it could be better padded. If you have hard floors rather than carpeting, you might want something thicker. I do like that it's easily cleanable, but I'm not sure about it being machine washable. Honestly, I'd be concerned that it would fall apart in the washer. Still, I think that it will last long enough if I stick to just wiping it down.

    Portable and decent padding

This play mat is ok. It’s quilted and has some decent padding. I am a little worried about longevity of it. I think I prefer the foam ones to this but this is more a portable solution.
