Good quality and useful

I am so happy that I can use it to monitor my chinchilla. You can use your phone and the parent unit it provided. Very space saving, good quality, does not look cheap. I put it next to the wall and it blend in. Very recommended!

Bought this to upgrade my basic vtech monitor I had with my first son. The parent unit has a huge screen which is nice but in some ways I wish it wasn't so large. I like that my cheap one is small I can fit it in the pocket of my sweats while I run outside to do things. This one is way too big you'd have to carry it or set it up somewhere everywhere you go. It was easy to set up and charge but the unit itself is pretty simple and basic. Not a ton of bells and whistles. The picture quality is good but I haven't tested the sound yet. I like that it's gooseneck so you can get a lot of different views and angles and I also love that it has a clip. You can use it with wifi to view from far away or you can just switch that off for security if you want which is nice. My biggest complaint is that it's still pretty basic despite being so expensive. Not sure it's really worth the price but it's a nice monitor.

Our family vacation site for the summer is almost ready, and I got this for my sister who just had another angel. They already have a baby monitor at home they used for my older nephew, but it's obviously a hassle to bring a baby monitor and set it up at the vacation site every time and then take it back again. When you have two kids, you want as little stuff as possible to bring around regardless of your transportation. So, I got this as a gift and set it up at their cabin so that when she joins the rest of the family, she has one less thing to worry about. I've tried this myself just to test it out, and so far, it's okay, but I know issues can occur when you start using it for a longer time. I will definitely report back if there are any significant performance issues that need to be addressed after my sister tries it out with her newborn baby this summer. Again, at the moment, it seems like a decent deal in terms of overall quality versus price and is well-packaged to be given as a gift."

When I set up the camera, I was disappointed that there wasn't a battery for the camera. In the Amazon search filters battery backup was checked, so I assumed that it was totally portable. We plan to use it while we travel, so a convenient plug won't always be available near the travel crib. In the picture of it clipped, it also doesn't show a power chord. Other than this issue, it seems to function normally.

This camera does not have any PTZ functionality outside of the digital zoom. Even when zoomed in digitally, there is no way to pan or tilt. The video image does look like it could be 1080p, as advertised, and it has an interesting capability of transmitting to the monitor directly or by connecting over the Internet. This functionality results in even local video feeds being delayed by 1-2 seconds. This will generally not matter, but real-time monitoring can be crucial. It also may make two-way communication more difficult with the delay. One unexpected feature is that MP3 files can be loaded to the monitor for playback. There are also feeding and diaper change buttons on the top to assist with logging patterns. This very high-fidelity monitor looks modern and has the basic features every parent needs.

The camera runs pretty hot. not sure how long it'll last emitting such heat. Wifi connection is not very effective. As it disconnects within 5 minutes of connecting. All the premium features should be included in the base price. The clamp is squeeze only and is not very tight. Only good thing I have found is the Camera quality is good.

Camera has difficulty connecting, paid $59 for upgrade, no better. Camera view constantly showing “did you know” facts over the screen. Low price - low quality
