I'm an eye mask connoisseur... I've had so many over the years. There are a lot of things this eye mask does well and a couple of things I would change. Still, 5 stars because it does what it advertises. To start, this thing seriously blocks the light. I got the grey one, by the way, but the black would be at least as good. When I had it on and opened my eyes in a sunny room, it was pitch black. The material is fairly soft and a little bit satiny. The texture keeps it fairly cool against your face, although I've felt softer eye masks. I do appreciate that there's no big plasticky or embroidered logo across the front like on my former mask. The memory foam is good, it does contour nicely around my eyes to block the light. It is a little firm so I think this mask might be best for a back sleeper or for sleeping sitting up (e.g. in a plane). When I lay on my side, the firmness of the memory foam causes the mask to shift slightly and be a little less comfortable and less light-blocking. My previous eye mask had softer foam and worked better for side sleeping, although it was less light-blocking overall. If you have a wide face or wide-set eyes, this may not be the mask for you. I have a normal-width face and it works on me, but is narrower than many masks I've had (it was particularly noticeable when I lay on my side). Finally, the strap is fine... it could be better. I'd prefer it to be a little wider, but it's thick enough not to put too much pressure along a thin line. When the mask is fitted properly to my head, the buckle is right behind my head and I would imagine it might be uncomfortable for some people, especially if they have less hair than I do. In conclusion - not the best eye mask I've had, but way better than a lot of cheap ones and priced well.

The eye mask does a perfect job blocking out all the light for me. Sometimes the sunlight in the morning wakes me up way before I am ready to get up and the eye mask allows me to continue sleeping until I am ready to wake up. The material the mask is made is very comfortable on my skin. The strap is adjustable so I can loosen or tighten it if I need to. So far the mask stays in place and doesn't move around when I turn my head in my sleep. There is no pressure on my eyes and I can actually have my eyes open if I wanted to while using them. I also like using them when I have a migraine or headache that is causing my eyes to be sensitive to light but I don't feel like sleeping I could listen to the T.V. but not have the light from the T.V bother my eyes or make my pain worse. I am very satisfied with them.

If you have a small nose bridge you may need to tighten it a bit more for full blackout but I can have this fairly loose and it will help with total blackout and my lashes don’t scrape. It’s a soft memory foam with a satin/silky material that’s comfortable and doesn’t get hot or itchy. It’s a solid eye mask id put in the top tier group because it blocks out all light and is comfortable.

This mask truly blacks out all the light, and doesn't need adjustment after I toss and turn a bit. Wish they would extend the foam to the part of the band that wraps around your ears. I have to tighten this mask pretty tight to seal out the light because I have a little head, and that means sometimes the band makes my ears a little sore. It's not too bad, though. I still prefer it to my old foam mask (it, also, had the deep eye pockets), because the old one would slip off while sleeping (just in time for morning light - boo), and this foam seems to be a little more durable.

- S K2024-06-18comfortable and thick
This mask has a good padding shape that keeps well in place. It's thick to adequately block all light, and comfortable to side sleep with. No smells or discoloring, easy to hand wash. Recommendable for how much space it leaves behind the mask.
- Thomas M2024-06-11Super soft and comfortable
This eye mask is super soft and comfortable. I love the gap between the eyes and the mask that is a great feature. Good sized mask to provide excellent coverage. However I did try sleeping with it and the band feels uncomfortable.
- SADR2024-06-15"A little thick" was my first thought, but no matter, it is GREAT!
It is a little thick and that initially bothered me upon opening the package, but once you put it on...it is luxuriously soft (I think its soft memory foam) and conforms to every curve in your face without an ounce of pressure anywhere! It stays put too. I think everyone should have one!
- Unreallystic2024-06-16Does a good job blotting out the sun!
I hate light when I sleep, I have a big head and like my mask tight, so I go through a bunch of mask as the rubber strap wears down. This one feels cool when I'm wearing, and does a good job with the nose test, if I look down while wearing them, I don't see light coming through the crack where my nose is. It blocks out enough light that I don't feel the need to have it AS tight as I usually do.
