- GeekyGirlie742024-06-25Works great using the solar option and it is convenient to hang or place anywhere - really zaps!
I recently got this portable bug zapper, and it is an upgrade! I have a large yard and two electric zappers on my porch, but the back of my yard where the hammock is, is just too far away and extra buggy! Living in heavily wooded area prone to mosquitoes and bugs, I needed something portable, effective, and reliable, and this bug zapper is all of that and a nice little light, too. The light has different color settings so you can change it to go with your mood or the season or decor. I especially appreciate its long-lasting performance without needing constant recharging. With a built-in rechargeable battery, it provides all-night endurance after just 2 hours of full charging via USB-C. I keep it charged using the solar option and it works great and it is convenient to hang or place anywhere.
- Lance’s wife2024-06-18Functions well, but bugs don’t flock to it
We’ve been using this quite a bit in our backyard since the mosquitoes have come back in full force. I don’t know how well it is working because I haven’t witnessed bugs being zapped, but it must have some positive psychological effects because I feel like I’m being bitten less when it’s on. There are 2 settings, low and high for the zapper part. It also has a nightlight function with colored rotating lights or solid white. It’s very easy to turn on, my kids can do it. My 1 year old also can’t get his finger through the slats on the side, much I’m very grateful for. We put it on an s-hook and hang it from their swingset. We’ve also have only had to change once upon arrival. So the solar function seems to work well. The product definitely works as advertised, I’m just not sure if the bugs are drawn to it at all hours of the day.

This works nicely for camping. I charged it up and followed the directions. The only issue I had was that it says to let it run for 48 hours straight after the first charge but it didnt even last that long. But other than that it did last about 18 ish hours straight on low. So it can do the job nicely. The light is nice and definetly useful!
- Brittany D.2024-05-20Not purple (sadness) but works great, bottom is a pain to get off.
When mosquito season starts you try everything you can to get the upper hand on the little buggers. That is where this comes in . -It came in very well packaged and in great shape although it is NOT purple it is black. -It did not take long to charge with the included C charger. -It has a low and high setting for the bug light and voltage. I dunno maybe if you have really stubborn bugs. Probably when used outside so it can be seen by bugs from further out and zap them enough for them to fall leaving room for the next victim. It works perfectly fine on the low setting lasting well over 8 hours on one charge. -The lighting feature is a very neat addition and works perfectly. -So we are using it inside currently for any buggies that follow us in. So I am not sure about the solar charging part. It does attract them very well and zaps them to fall in the included tray. -The tray to collect them is my only complaint with this thing as it does NOT like to come off. They don’t give you enough of a grip to grab it, I’ll probably hot glue something on the bottom to make it easier. Overall I am very happy with how well this is doing at keeping the bugs that do make it in from feasting on us a night.
- Charles2024-05-18Zaps bugs nicely! Really like the light feature.
This bug zapper works nicely! It lights up blue to attract the bugs, and they fly into it and ZAP. They fall to the bottom, which has a removable door which makes emptying it fairly easy. There are 2 levels to the zapper, 2400 volts (50%) and 4800 volts (100%). I am not really sure why there are 2 different, user-selectable voltage levels like that. The blue light indicates the current level, as at 50% zap level the blue light isn't as intense, but at 100% it glow much brighter. I'm thinking the 50% level is better to conserve battery, and I haven't had an issue with it NOT killing the bugs... 50% is still plenty to kill 'em dead. I really like how portable this thing is, and the fact it has a solar charger built in on the top! Allows such easy, thoughtless recharging, it's great. And the light function is awesome! It doubles as a camping lantern. Two different brightnesses for white light, and there's also a RGB mode where it slowly cycles between multiple colors. Pretty fun and innovate device, especially for $16! A great value and I'd highly recommend.
- Sheri2024-06-03Easy to use
I ordered this for our deck so we can sit outside in the evenings without being a meal for the mosquitoes. It took very little time to charge it, although I must admit, the charging port is very well-hidden for these tired old eyes. (This is a user issue; it's not a problem with the zapper.) I would have used the solar charging ability, but when I first opened the box, it was already fairly dark outside. I like that it has different levels of light and power, too!

- Jennifer McMackin2024-05-31Bug zapper
I really like the fact this is rechargeable, both by a usb-c cable or the solar panel on the top. Leaving it outside all day in the sun, it usually lasts all night. Zaps quite a few bugs on my porch and keeps them away from my plants. The bottom took a little bit the first time to pop off, but now it's easier to get off than before. It was easy to clean the bugs from the tray and the zapper part itself (of course with the zapper off). I just used the little brush to clean it out. Love the portability of it so you could use it at family picnics somewhere, camping, at home on the porch, etc.
- The Mad Squirrel2024-05-14Nice but only gathers a few
So I have a few bug sappers on the deck, and this one’s the largest of them all, and most aesthetically pleasing as it has an Asian look to it. It provides a nice light however, the bug light attracts a few different types of bugs, but the bigger ones it struggles with Its a nice light however overall
- Kadie2024-05-16Gets the job done
This is the perfect little bug zapper for in the house. I hung it in the kitchen window and it works great for the occasional fly, gnat and mosquito that somehow makes its way in.
