I love my workshop, esp. when I do woodwork. The problem is: I don't work frequently enough to justify buying a sander/ sanding tool. I have two drills and a grinder, but not a sander. Enter the Angle Grinder Sanding Discs, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer! From Hours to Minutes: This set transformed what would have been a 4+ hour ordeal into a task completed in under an hour. The secret lies in the different grit levels of the pads. I always start with the coarsest pad to aggressively remove the bulk of the work surface needed to be smoothed, then, I use the finer pad to smooth out the surface for a perfect finish. A Drill Match Mishap (But the Set Saves the Day): I initially made the mistake of assuming the grinder set would fit my portable drill (which only accepts hex connections). Luckily, my trusty old electric drill came to the rescue and worked perfectly. Velcro Power: The pads attach to the grinder using a Velcro backing. While I initially questioned its strength, my worries were unfounded. The hold was surprisingly strong and secure throughout the entire process. A Gentle Touch with Big Results: It's important to note that I couldn't use the entire pad at once because the large surface area created some wobble (not the grinder's fault!). However, focusing on a smaller section of the outer pad allowed me to apply steady pressure and achieve excellent results. Overall: This Grinder Set is a lifesaver! It reduced my work time, the pads are high quality and come in a variety of grits for different tasks, and the Velcro attachment system proved to be surprisingly secure. If you're facing a similar battle with your workshop where you don't have a grinder/ sander, this set is a must-have!

I had a large flat-top BBQ grill where the griddle itself had rusted badly and the seasoning had begun to flake. I tried using the standard grill accessories for the restoration but couldn't make enough progress removing the rust and old seasoning layer so I ordered this grinder set. What a difference! I started with the coarsest pad to remove the majority of the rust and seasoning and then used the least coarse pad to smooth out the griddle. What would have taken me 4+ hours to remove the rust and old seasoning layer with the standard tools took less than an hour with this set. I mistakenly thought the grinder would fit my portable drill but my portable drill only took hex connections so I had to break out my ancient electric drill which worked perfectly. The pads adhere to the grinder by a kind of Velcro backing which I thought might not be strong enough but the hold was super strong and not an issue. I couldn't use the grinder by applying the entire bottom of the pad at once because it got wobbly, (Not the grinder's fault), but by using just a portion of the outer pad I was able to apply plenty of stable pressure. This grinder set saved me half a day's work, the pads are excellent all around and you get a large assortment of pads with differing levels of grit.

I have a cordless sander as most do but it ruined a multitude of litium batteries over many projects since it’s power demands are on the ridiculous side. With that being said I have a couple angle grinders and figured I would use them to get the sanding done for the majority of my projects, especially with metal work on vehicles. These angle grinder sanding discs make work a lot simpler. I don’t have to worry about buying new lithium batteries every couple years and these comes with a wide array of sanding discs so I won’t have to buy those for awhile. Great kit! Exactly what I needed, I have a few projects underway right now, including a treehouse, and eliminating the risk of splinters is vital. This set has a huge amount of pads, in various grit levels, it will last a long, long time. Perfect for all the current projects and many more to come.

This sander is okay for general sanding tasks, but it's not going to work for everyone. Achieving smooth results takes much more effort compared to a random orbital sander. It's a good alternative if you're on a budget and already have an angle grinder or electric drill to attach it to. The hook and loop backing pad works well for quick disc changes, but be prepared to spend more time and effort to get the finish you want.

I am really liking this set. Got it for the grinder option but I've actually found that the drill adapter is what I'm most happy with. Fits easily into my main drill toolbox along with a selection of grits, adds a whole new selection of options for me to be able to use on the spot for small projects without having to drag out a whole separate set of sanding tools.

It's hard to predict how long these sanding discs will last. These do just okay as far a lasting, but for the price, they get the job done. The kit is nice and would be a nice addition to someone's workbench.

This is a nice little kit and will work well on both my craftsman and Milwaukee, they made short work of knocking the paint off the aluminum i was working on and made finishing corners easy to shape.

This sanding attachment just gave my grinder another purpose. Very easy installation. I like that the sanding pad has a foam backing to help avoid turning the sanding operation into a grinding one. Also comes with a ton of disc.

A nice sanding kit that attaches to your drill. It comes with tons of sandpaper discs from super fine grits to very course. I think this is great for smaller jobs; I wouldn't want to sand a car or piece of furniture with this. I do think for what it is, it's a great product.
