Small, pocketable, with 7 different tools to use for 95% of the screws and connections on the video rig. Easy to have around during a build; beats having to search around for the right size hex or broad flathead screwdriver. The only hex driver it didn’t have was for the small screw that’s needed to attach my camera to its cage at the eyelet for the camera strap. The cage (SmallRig #2926 indicates a M2.5 screw, but the 2.5 hex on the tool is much too big for the screw (cage came with a magnetically attached key tool with the correct size hex wrench.). Will always have this tool with me on any assignment/project/outing when using my video rig.

This is a handy set of pocket tools, which I would highly recommend for anyone working in a janitorial or a building custodial job. Also handy for anyone as a smaller EDC item with many useful tools. It has several tools which nicely fold away for quick use as you find an opportunity. Highly recommended!

I hate having to keep multiple Allen wrenches since I never know where they end up and its super inconvenient. I try to get adatores, plates, tripods, whatever camera accessories I need that DO NOT require an allen wrench or a penny to tighten. A simple thumb screw allows you to tighen on the spot and whenever you need too. But unfortunately I still have some itmes that need the tools for tightening. I saw this and thought its exactly what I need. Its fairly small, about 3 inches long and fits right in your pocket. That's a game changer for me. It has a screw driver tool but its a big slotted one about 3/8" wide for tightening those quick release plates without a wing nut type and usually needs a penny or dime in order to tighten. That's perfect since I have had to borrow a dime in the past to do that. It also has all the Allen wrench sizes I have needed plus a Philips screw head just in case. This is essentially a foldable Allen wrench set like you get at the hardware store but has the Philips head and the slotted head and a small footprint. The quality of this is really nice and it also comes in a nice pouch for storage. A nice bonus to this is several 1/4" screw holes for extra screws in case you need one plus a few other screw hole sizes for the same reason. Great Idea since that has come up as an issue once before. This is really a must have tool if you are a photographer or videographer. Well worth it.

- Richard E. Bitting2024-06-20An indispensable tool for photographers
This small multitool slips easily into my camera bag. I find it useful for tightening my tripod and attaching the quick release. There is even a place to attach frequently used screws. A very handy tool!

I was going through my camera bag the other day, and I kept coming across Hex Key wrenches. I use different plates on my cameras, and it seems that each different plate has a different size Hex Key wrench. What I did was put all these different size wrenches in my camera bag so that I wouldn't be out on a shoot, need to change plates, and not have the right size. Then there are the plates that you need to have a dime to tighten the screws, "Hey buddy, do you have change for a quartet?"...Isn't that kind of like putting a round peg in a square hole? UGH! Well, the solution is the Smallrig Folding Tool Set. I just keep it with my lens blower, and I always have the right size Hex Key wrench, and a flat head screwdriver to tighten or loosen my plates. what is nice is you can put the wrench straight out and use it like a screwdriver, or you can turn it to a 90º angle and crank down a little harder like you wold with a Hex Key Wrench. The Pros: First: It saves you time and frustration looking for the right size wrench. Second: All of your tools are in one place Third: It comes in a nice little bag, that goes in a nice little zippered case. ( I actually just put those things aside...but it is a nice touch) It fits nicely in a pocket. Fourth: It fits just about everything. I have tried it with all of my plates, and I have even tried it on the legs of my Manfrotto tripod...and it works. I am not saying that it will work on everything... but if you get one of these, you can try it on your kit and see where it works. It is not that you are tightening the legs on your tripod all that much, but it is a secure feeling to know that you can if you have to. (Most tripod companies don't give you a Hex Key Wrench for adjusting the tension on the legs) The cons: First of all, it costs a lot more than a bunch of free Hex Key wrenches. I just figure that it saves me time and frustration when I need to change a plate and I have to dig around my camera bag. $20 is quite a bit, but I have used mine several times since I received, and everything went faster and smoother than all of those times before. Second: I am not exactly sure how well built this thing is. I read a review that said that they busted off one of the Hex Key Wrenches, So, I guess, if you go into it knowing that you can be the Incredible Hulk if you aren't careful, you won't try to turn the screw to tight...just a thought. But really, if you just tighten it down without trying to make it never come out, you should be okay. So, That's my review on this tool. I like it, it works for me, and I use it. Give it a try, and I think that you will understand why I like it. Good luck.
