- Ann D.2024-05-20Great gift for the scientist in your life!
Still in the process of getting everything necessary to use this.
- RP2024-04-24Perfect for prototyping
An inexpensive board perfect for prototyping. The usb port provides enough power to the board and to sensors connected to the board. No issues with Arduino IDE on Mac and Linux. You’ll need your own usb cable (not provided with the board).

Bought for a gift for my 10 year old. Nice quality and as advertised.
- James G.2024-02-29A great little microcontroller
I can't believe it took me so long to stumble onto this little gem. It's a great little microcontroller for all sorts of applications or projects. it is well-supported by online resources and documentation. It is easy to develop programs for it using the IDE which is freely available to download on the Arduino website.

As someone who has used Raspberry Pis for past projects, this felt more purpose built to easily throw some code in it and have it just run. The USB interface to the Arduino IDE sets up in less than a minute and makes deploying and updating code super easy. The built in connectors make wiring incredibly easy. I bought two of these for home projects and couldn't be happier. These will be my go to going forward

Have tested this microcontroller with driving motors and solenoid valves, and it works well with the L293 motor shield (which is why I got it). I think it is fairly priced for the level of quality, it seems quite well made. I just need to figure out how to use it outside of Arduinos IDE and then it will be perfect. 4/5 for me.
- nh199262023-04-221st time ever trying an Arduino Uno - Interesting little thing. Learning to do simple things.
I'm a senior nearly 70 and never touched any Arduino or anything similar. I wanted the device to reset a color printer item with an already written program. I have never written any code and boy am I learning. One simple character mistake and running the compile program will surely tell you. I am using the Arduino IDE 2.1.0 program with this Uno Rev 3. Nevertheless I am happy with this little thing and there are so many projects out there in the community, this will surely keep my mind going and my interest. Setting up was easy. I first got the Arduino IDE program (free on the net) and installed... went fine on my Windows 10 computer with no problems. Once installed, I connected the Uno Rev 3 to my computer via the USB port only (no ext power supply used). Plugged into the USB port, about 3 seconds (literally) later it already installed drivers and the thing was running. It selected Com Port 6 on my Win 10 system. On the Arduino IDE program you just have to make sure you select the Arduino Uno Rev 3 from the list... that is it, and your up and going. From beginning to end I probably spent 5 to 10 minutes doing everything to make it run. On Ease to use and Easy to learn, I gave a 4 star only because I have never done anything like this. If you are a pro or some kind of advanced user, or if I was, I would give a 5 star across the board. This is only my first day trying it, so I will update later on. I checked out Youtube video's and tried writing / typing 3 different programs on the Arduino IDE screen. I ran the compiler program on the IDE... said it was good, tested it in the simple serial monitor (included in the Arduino IDE) and was interesting to watch the board respond. I then saved my program for later.
- Ordinary guy2015-03-02The Real Deal
When the world of Arduino was shown to me a few weeks ago, I was intrigued. After watching some Youtube videos, and reading online accounts, it became clear that the use of Arduino with various sensors could do some amazing things. The hidden "mad scientist" within me started to come out. Looking thru the Amazon reviews showed great ratings, BUT there were a few issues that popped up in some reviews. Some indicated that they received fake Arduinos. A few said there were some quality issues. Issue 1 - Fake Arduino? An online post suggested that the Amazon seller be cross checked with "approved" vendors as listed on the official Arduino web site. I purchased mine through Karlsson Robotics, and they are indicated as an approved Arduino "supplier". The first thing I did when receiving my Arduino is to check all the standards means of detecting a fake. Every item checked out, in particular the gold 504L device. I am 100% assured that this is a product from the factory in Italy. Issue 2 - Quality? The quality of the board, solder joints and devices appears to be just about perfect. There are no instances of incomplete or rough solder joints. Everything is soldered in a super smooth manner, probably from one of their production machines. It's an outstanding job. So far I've done a few operations with the board, and no issues have been observed. The board connected easily to the computer via an A-B USB cable (not included with the board). Bottom Line: Karlsson Robotics is a legit supplier, and they provided my Arduino board with zero issues. Highly recommended that you purchase though them. The Arduino board is top notch, and is ready to go out of the box.
