    Perfect "open concept" small duffle

I decided to purchase this item because I wanted a day to day tote that was like a duffle bag but more sturdy...something that would be soft yet hold it's own shape while sitting on the floor amd be smaller than a gym duffle and sort of stiffer. This is a great small duffle type bag. It can be utilized as an easy under the seat carry on but it can also be used as a work tote, Mom tote, car bag...you name it. I use it for my day to day travels as I need to have several things with me such as snacks, thermos, reading material, extra phone chargers, cosmetic bag...it holds it all and with still maintaining a light weight. I do have the travelpro luggage which I love. Specifically the carryon rolling bag and this bag fits right on top of it. It is soft but I dont find it unbalanced in any way. The most important feature for me was the inside open space design. Like an open concept feature. I love popping open the lid and being able to see what I have in all one spot. There is a zippered portion for your small items or perhaps your wallet and then a large duffle type open section which is light plaid so you can plainly see everything. The zippers cam be locked as well! I use little pouches to tuck my items away so I just grab the appropriate pouch for my charger or cosmetics etc. The side has a zippered part which is great for quick access to a fairly large pocket and the front has 2 zippered lengthwise pockets which is good for a small calendar or passport or tickets. As for what I am able to put in the bag...just about anything. Its deep enough for my water bottle and thermos to sit upright, and I have several books, gel pens, and things to occupy my time while on a plane or waiting area. It rides on my shoulder nicely or I can carry it by padded handles. The bag can be lifted by your pinky finger when empty so YOU are in control now heavy you make it. Would I walk through Italy with it...ha...no because I wouldn't need things to occupy my time. I would use a close to the body secure purse with just the essentials and keep the bag in my hotel room. But for everywhere else it's small convenient and perfect. The rose is like a light lavender. A dusty rose lavender shall we say. It's perfect. For a guy I would go with the darker color but my travelpro luggage is purple and this bag is a nice accent. So dont assume it's just for luggage. It's not. Use it every day and keep everything in one place. Another note. I stay in a lot of hotels and have had fire alarms go off in the middle of the night. Having 1 bag with all my important things is what I grab on the way out. If you have a purse, a work tote, a non essentials bags...etc...its disorganized. This bag will hold it all including a smaller laptop. So pack it and go!! 5 stars. The zippers are a bit stiff because the seams are tougher in the effect of making the bag stand on it's own. The only drawback is no metal footsies on the bottom. This is nice in a way as it can pass for something other than luggage since it doesnt scream "luggage", but be careful where you put it down as it will be sitting directly on the bottom of the bag. Dont put on yucky floor. However the fabric is tough and water resistant and stain resistant so it will be ok if you use good judgment. In the picture it's not as big as it seems on top the luggage. My angle was off so it looks bigger. It's nice and compact. Actually it is 16 inches not 18. You can see the softness of the item but when you sit it down the walls of the bag hold their own that's what I like as I was using a floppy tote purse and when opened it kinds of flops down like a wet noodle. I like having the bag open and not having my stuff flop out.

    Right sized and great configuration

I have tried a couple of different underseat bags recently and this checks all the boxes--lightweight, shoulder/cross-body strap, and the right size, not too big and not too small. I haven't traveled with this one yet, but I have packed everything I want in my personal item and it fits with a little room to spare. It has enough structure so it holds things in place, but is still very flexible and lightweight. I would have liked a laptop/tablet slot, but my laptop stays in place in the front of the main pocket. The main pocket easily holds my 3-1-1 toiletries, make-up kit, jewelry carrier and another large amenities kit, large water bottle and room for my soft leather crossbody handbag. There is an interior mesh zip pocket, not sure what I will use it for but there it is. The one exterior side pocket is a good size and easy to access, with gussets so things won't fall out-- I use it for chargers and small electronics. The two front pockets provide secure access for agenda, wallet, travel papers, phone, kindle etc. Despite the structure and size it is very lightweight. The slightly larger soft-sided bag I have used most recently tends to flop around when not full, and if it is packed full it is very heavy. The rear luggage strap is not as secure as a luggage sleeve, but the velcro tab in the middle of the strap helps, and I think that is manageable. All in all, I can't wait to take it on my next flight. Other reviewers have noted that it is only 16" side to side, and not 18" as stated in the description, which makes it a better fit on top of a smaller rolling suitcase.

    Great Small Scale Carry On

Really like the size, and functionality. A lot of well designed "room", and if used as a carry on easy to get into all the compartments while stuck in those damn regular seats... Oh, and this is very well made!!

Well made bag, one negative on design...

This bag was great on our air travel. It's very lightweight and a convenient size for stuffing under the seat in front of you. However, the one flaw I noticed was that there is no protection on the bottom of the bag - no "feet" or bumpers to protect the fabric of the bag from the ground. This really surprised me considering the price of this bag and the company's reputation - very disappointing. I have bags that cost 1/10 of what this one cost that have feet on the bottom. So, Travelpro, put some feet on the bottom of this bag!

    A nice bag well made

I wanted something small to carry on a plane that isn’t a backpack or a tote. This fit the bill and is just big enough for my small laptop (macbook size) some water and other travel essentials. My only issue is that I wished the the front pocket had more organizers for passport, keys, wallet, phone, etc. it is really just 2 zip pockets and the photos I saw didn’t show that. So, if you don’t mind that, this is worth the money!

    Too large for me

Nice looking bag with lots of zippered pockets. It is too large for me. I use the matching Travelpro 19” carry-on suitcase, and the empty bag hangs over the top of the suitcase handle. If the bag was full, it would flip my suitcase over forward. I will say, however, that it’s a perfect fit for my Travelpro 25” suitcase, but I needed a bag that would fit on top of my carry-on.

    Good bag!

I am planning on taking a two week long trip to Russia. I am flying economy on Finnair and am allowed one carry-on that can be US domestic size as far as measurements go, but it is limited in weight to 17.5 pounds. I do also do not want to check a bag as I have a tight connecting flight, and I do not want to arrive without my luggage. Anyway, I have been playing around with a few bags I have. This one will work perfect as my travel bag. I fit the following items inside: Two pairs of men's 31x32 jeans folded in main compartment 9 pairs of men's medium boxer briefs and three pairs of medium lightweight running shorts in a small Suited Nomad compression cube 6 XL T-shirts and 2 XL polo shirts in two large Suited Nomad compression cubes. My quart size bag of liquids and travel adapter fit in the large side pocket, and I only put a cell phone charging cable in the large front pocket. Both of the front pockets which were still accessible. My bag was also not bulged in any direction and maintained its true measurements. The measurements of the bag are also 16" long x 11" tall x 8" deep which I believe are different than advertised specs. My bag also weighed about 14 pounds which is well below the 17.5 pound weight limit imposed by Finnair. Since my bag is so small, I will carry one pair of my running shoes in an extra Eagle Creek Shoe Sac attached to exterior of the bag on the long shoulder strap. I am impressed with how much stuff I was able to pack inside of this bag while maintaining such a low weight. As of yet, I have never used this bag for travel, and I am not sure how much room will be under an airline sea for those who want to use it as a personal item. This bag is well built, has plenty of organization, is lightweight, has numerous carry options, and is sized to specs. This should be a great addition for domestic airline travel or for those who have serious luggage restrictions.

A really nice addition to the Travelpro 27" spinner

This fits perfectly atop the medium checked bag they sell. It has plenty of pockets and the one I got has stood up to a lot of overhead bins and underseat storage cramming. It feels well made and like it'll stand up to travel for a long time.

Nice personal bag for under the seat

I bought this bag to serve as my personal bag for my flight and it has a decent amount of space. Several pockets for small items. Great size for toiletries or just a weekend trip.
