This set is the perfect set of luggage. The wheels roll very smoothly and the interior zippers are sturdy. We have used this twice so far, and are extremely happy with the functionality, color, ease of use, and durability. I like the option of having a small case for short trips, and the slightly larger one for when you need a bit more room.

Why would I want to purchase luggage that is larger than required 62”! This case is 65.5”. One person having a bad day at airport check in and you will have a huge hassle. I have had that happen! And had to pay an oversized fee! The Amazon site states the size wrong!

Back in 1994, Jim Carrey said the line, Samsonite… I was way off. I was 9 years old when that movie came out. I thought when I grow up I’m gonna get me a Samsonite. 2012 was when I started to travel on the regular, and I got a soft side Samsonite carry on that year, and it has endured dozens of trips domestically and internationally for the last 12 years. It’s hold up very well, and still looks like it can go another decade. But the style is I guess you can say dated. As it only has 2 wheels. I’ve noticed these last few trips that almost every person traveling has the hard side carry on with the 4 wheel spinner. So I knew I needed a change. In comes this Samsonite Evolve. Stylish, trendy, durable is just a few words I can say. The wheels are smooth and give great feedback when rolling. The inside has 2 meshed zippered sections, but no strap to hold down your load, and no extra pockets whatsoever. I guess you can say it’s on the basic side. But its a Samsonite its gonna last you more than a decade if you handle it with care.

This was my first hard shell luggage since I was a child. It’s very spacious and holds more than expected, and also not too heavy. The wheels held up over lots of cobblestone walkways. The one drawback is the adjustment to having to open it up completely to access both sides. Luggage racks in hotel rooms are made for suitcases that open to a 90 degree angle.

This was a great deal and it matched my other pieces perfect. The shipping was sooner than expected.

I bought into the brand idea that Samsonite is a good quality yet expensive brand and was very sadly mistaken. I was in the middle of my holiday in Japan and not one but TWO wheels came off. There was no indication that the suitcase was struggling prior to this and all I was doing was walking between hotels. I then had to incur a disposal fee and buy another suitcase out there (more expensive than I was planning but had limited options). When I went back to Samsonite to get a refund, they refused to even refund the suitcase that had broken. I am not happy with them at all and will now ACTIVELY discourage any one thinking of buying it.

This is a high quality suitcase, and it comes with me on every trip I take. My one complaint is that I wish it had a little isolated zipper pocket somewhere inside, so you could keep a handful of loose items contained and easily accessible when you pop the bag open. Each half of this bag has its own zipper flap that keeps your belongings from falling out when you unzip the bag itself, which is a very nice feature, but those are literally the only two compartments this bag has. It seems like there was an opportunity to sew a zippered mesh pocket into one of these internal flaps, or into the bag liner. I have a larger Samsonite suitcase that has both of these extra pockets, and they're very nifty. Anyway, it's a decent carry on. I mostly just like that it matches my larger bag, and think it could learn a few design lessons from it.
