This is my second purchase of this bag, in a different color. I carried the black bag throughout France, Spain, and Portugal last year. I always felt secure in crowded, touristy areas. It has excellent security features. All zippers have clasps that secure them. There is a front pocket that works great for cellphone, on the opposite side one outside pocket that works great for credit cards, passport, etc and has RFID protection. The ends of the purse zip out where you can carry a small umbrella and a water bottle. There is an additional large zippered pocket inside the main compartment and two smaller pockets that work for glasses, hair brush, etc. on the opposite side. It is remarkably streamlined and doesn't look big at all, but it holds a lot. I carry my incidentals like hand sanitizer, lipstick, sunscreen, pill bottle, etc. in a small zippered makeup bag in the main compartment. It makes it easy to find things. I am extremely pleased with this bag, and I think it is reasonably priced, as well. The quality is very good. I have a little tear in one of the mesh water bottle zip-outs, but that is to be expected with as much wear and tear that it has seen.

This was exactly what I was looking for . Perfect for my upcoming vacation. Sturdy but not bulky . Plenty of room for basic daily needs. Pockets on sides perfect for water bottle. Shoulder strap not to thin or thick and comfortable on the shoulder. Wipe clean material , This shoulder bag is perfect for my needs not to mention the price was great compared to other Travelon bags ! I would recommend !

The security was a must for travel. I was very happy with the size, pockets, durability, zipper clips, comfort and two pockets for water bottles! I used on a two week vacation to Italy and Greece. I witnessed a traveler have her purse stolen in Rome and a young lady after she was pick pocketed in Oui Santorini Greece. It happens and I felt security with the zipper locks. It's slash resistant and has RFID. The key clip light came in handy too.

I have a number of medications I take daily and when I travel I need to keep some of the bottles with me so I don't have to worry about the maid at the hotel taking them. Now I feel like I don't have to worry about someone snatching my purse and leaving me without my medications. I have only been on one short trip since I got it, but it is big enough to hold my stuff including a water bottle. It also has a clever fastener to attach to a chair like in a restaurant so no one can walk off with it.

Overall I liked the bag. However the opening is too small which I thought would not good for traveling and finding items quickly so I had to return.

This purse is very well designed for travel! The purse material cannot be slashed or cut. When the zippers are closed, the zipper pulls can be hooked to metal tabs as extra safety. Purse is roomy inside and durable. I ordered the purse in black. I wore this purse with the strap over my head so it rested in front for extra safety and also my hands helped. I purchased a Travelon purse years ago and used it a lot. I am so happy now to see all the updates. I recommend using the purse a couple weeks ahead of your trip to get used to the zippers and compartments. Also there is room for two small water bottles.

I like everything except the fabric liner. I got it in blue with flowers and it's pretty ugly.

There are a lot of features that I like about this bag, but a few areas that Travelon could improve. Likes: their bags are good quality overall. I feel they are reasonably priced compared to other travel/security bags. This bag was the size I was looking for my Ireland trip last year. It worked well for what I needed and it has held up one year later (it has been my daily purse since then). Good amount of space, well thought out security features, locking zippers are easy to open, light colored interior is helpful with attached light so it’s not a black hole, and it has water bottle holders that are covered to look more classy when not in use (more on that in a second). Dislikes/areas for improvement: the strap is uncomfortable for long outings due to the anti-theft cables. When traveling, I’m more worried about pickpockets than someone slashing my strap. That could be helped by a small sliding shoulder pad over the existing strap. The water bottle pockets are small, which makes it a struggle to get a bottle in/out. If they made the elastic band just 1/2” bigger then it wouldn’t be such a problem. I bought a very small 12 oz stainless steel water bottle to travel with because none of my other bottles would fit. The zipper to close the holders gets caught on the nylon webbing and has torn it after not much use. While the material wipes clean fairly easily, it is not water resistant. I was in the rain for an hour and the bag was drenched and contents got wet. I might coat it with a water repellent spray so this doesn’t happen again. Summary: good bag. I’d buy it again.

The size/shape is deceiving. This bag can hold a lot of stuff - great for travel. Locking front pouch holds cards, and room for phone and small wallet. Other locking pouch is also very roomy for guide book, pen and travel journal. Main compartment is also locking and very roomy. Zippered pouch great for keys, car key fob and other items. Two other smaller pouches great for lip gloss, hand lotion and wet wipes. Main compartment is large enough to hold a lightweight jacket annd other tour items. Water bottle and umbrella pockets on the side are perfect fit. Love the locking main strap too. I feel like my items are very secure. Strap can be adjusted to wear as a crossbody or over the shoulder. Oh yes - almost forgot about the small light in the main compartment - so nice to have that!! This is a great travel purse!!

Used this travel bag while on vacation in Europe. I wore it as a cross body bag and felt secure. The zippers have locks, and passport, credit cards and money are protected in the pouch that rests against the body instead of in front. Felt more secure than a passport/ money belt around my waist, and way more comfortable. Both sides open up enough for a water bottle and small travel umbrella leaving hands free.
