Wow, this is the most convenient umbrella ever. Folds up super compact but when you open it up, provides great protection. I have even used it in light rain and it held up just fine. Probably wouldn't hold up in super strong winds, but for the size, this works great!

Got this umbrella to somewhat help me out in the rainy season and to keep in my car door. It performs fairly well but has a few drawbacks that I need to point out. First off, the build quality is meh. The handle is cheap, the rod is cheap, and the supporting bits that hold up the plastic over your head are quite thin. Don't plan on this holding up to extreme winds or hail or something like that. I think this could easily blow out backwards if the wind catches it wrong. That being said, it's very light, and quite compact. It easily fits in the side door pocket on my 3 series bmw. Colors are nice, the blue inside is a cool touch, and the water resistance seems to work just fine. I took it in the rain a couple times now and it has kept me nice and dry. It feels decently sturdy when it's opened, enough to flick the water off of it, and set it on the ground, but definitely not confidence inspiring. For $25, I'm not sure if I would expect much more quality, but bottom line, it works. The way that it closes is a bit dumb because you're supposed to be able to fit all of the tips of the plastic braces into the handle, and realistically, that is just not going to happen, it's annoying, so they should just make it a bit stronger and take away that feature. Other than that, not a bad product.

This umbrella is so perfect. Reflects nice small travel size yet large enough to cover fully. Easy to hold and water resistant. Though it is hard to open and lock it in place you really have to push it open. Once open it is perfect. Love the color and the metallic. Great to throw into your bag. Good for the sun as well. Seems strong as I haven’t tested it out with the wind yet. So far so good. Have used it quite often so far. My daughter loves it and it’s the perfect size for her or her school bag.

The umbrellas protected us in the desert sun, but they were very difficult to latch them open and keep them open, and in the wind they frequently turned inside out. They were just too flimsy and difficult to use as intended.

I took this G4Free Compact Travel Umbrella on my month-long trip touring SE Asia. It is small and compact, opens into a large size for good sun and rain coverage. Only complaint is the weight - it's heavy for its size. But everyone with lighter weight one struggled in the wind. I didn't, so the trade-off is worth it in my book. I also liked that the silver sun protection is on the outside and it has a lovely soft green lining so blocks sun very effectively.

I ordered this travel umbrella whilst on my way home from a very sunny vacation in Asia in December. It was hot and sunny in Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, and The Maldives. Never gave a thought to a sun umbrella. When I was offered this item, I jumped at ordering it. This umbrella would've been great on my vacation. It has a very small form factor when closed but is very big when opened. I like the fact that it is reflective and has UPF 50+ UV Protection. If you are worried about weight, this umbrella feels a little heavy for its size, 10 ounces. It will, however, fit very handily in any suitcase or knapsack water-bottle holder. Planning on taking it on my next adventure to Mexico where I'll need some sun shade.

The first time I used it, on a mildly breezy day, it blew inside out and was irreparably broken. By the time I got home, I was outside the return window. Bummer. Just had to throw it away.

This black umbrella comes with a little black pouch. It seemed a bit delicate the first few times I opened it, needing "untangling" and careful maneuvering to open the ribs. It closed easily, though. This little black umbrella is a nice size when fully open. Two close friends could share this umbrella. The knob at the end is large, about 2" across. Less hand pain than the traditional hook, imo. Fully closed in its little pouch, it will fit in a backpack side pouch. It states the fabric is also uv protection, which is a nice bonus. It is lightweight, and packs quite compactly. This umbrella can get year round use.
