I got this umbrella for my wife to carry in her purse. It is next to nothing when folded up. It's perfect for one person. The handle is a little small but perfect when you get caught in a surprise rainstorm

This little is lightweight, fits easily in a purse or backpack and it does help with the heat of the sun. It doesn't stand up to much wind but what can you expect? The shaft is short which makes it difficult to attach to a backpack with enough clearance to provide air movement. I primarily use it for hiking in Arizona. It provides instant shade or a bit of privacy when needed.

I brought back from a trip to Japan an ultra-light weight umbrella weighing under 100 grams and wanted another one to give to my mom. This one was the lightest I could find here, still ultra light at 120 grams and slightly larger and sturdier (relatively speaking - not a match for heavier umbrellas). It's been great so far; you can really take if anywhere as it is so small and light, just put it in your bag or backpack and forget it's there. Sure it's a bit flimsier than other mini-umbrellas that usually weigh three times as much, but it's perfectly usable and you wouldn't carry those other umbrellas around with you all the time and hence not have an umbrella when you need one.
- Daniel C.2024-03-21Super lite
Didn't know they made them this lite, thought I try this when backpacking so I could leave my raincoat open on the front and not sweat to death like usual. 4oz is very lite, if you sweat to death under the jacket I guarantee you will add more than the weight of this unbrella, looking forward to trying this idea, but would rather it not rain, but then that wouldn't be my normal trip. Would have give 5 stars but need to see what it does with rain and wind 1st.

It is super lightweight. Hard to tell it is in my purse because it is so lightweight and compact. It withstands heavy rain well. Great for traveling.
- Go Gators2023-11-14Perfect for hiking :)
Super lightweight umbrella that works wonderfully while I'm hiking and backpacking to keep the sun/rain off of me. It's also really nice that it doesn't take up hardly any space in my pack. I wish it came in lighter colors. It seems a touch fragile, but I protect it pretty well and haven't had any issues. If you're a backpacker looking for a great piece of UL gear, this is a fantastic umbrella.
- Alex Berman2024-03-28Very poor quality
It broke after first use in high wind. I think its main use is blocking sunlight. Or soft rain like drizzle. Good word for the company though- they refunded even that it broke after the return/replacement period. One more word of wisdom - it's a 6$ umbrella from alli expres - that a logo of G4free was attached to. Not high quality product. Chinese poor quality
- Carl H2024-05-19Flimsy
I used this on a trip to Southern Asia; temps often reach 100° and the sun is intense. The good news is that it is very light so easy to carry while out all day. Bad news - very cheap materials and/or cheaply made. Even a light wind necessitates closing the umbrella immediately or it will start to flip inside out.
- F1racer2024-02-27cheaply made, not sturdy, wouldn't have lasted
item returned, it was cheaply made, wasn't strong, and it felt like it would fall apart, after a couple of uses, more like a disposable umbrella, saw no carbon fiber, not sure where they got that in the description, probably marketing fluff, less than truthful

I'm amazed at how light this is! I've used it while hiking for sun protection and at Yosemite when getting close to the falls. It's so light that there's no reason to not bring it with you, just in case. I'll use it for regular travel too!
