I wanted a 32" duffel to replace my old 32" Nautica duffel. I ordered both the 35" and 32" Amazon Basic duffels but they were either too big or too small. The Amazon Basic seems to be much better made than the Samsonite. For example the Samsonite carry strap is in the middle of the top zippered flap, which doesn't give much support. The Amazon Basic and my old Nautica have carry straps, which is much sturdier. I'm surprised Samsonite just has the single handle and not sturdy carry straps. I rated the Samsonite 3 stars for durability, not because I have had problems, but I anticipate that it won't last as long as my old Nautica duffel. Buy the Amazon Basic duffel if either the 32" or 35" size suits you. Anyway the Samsonite is the right size, but I wish the Amazon Basic came in the 32" size.

I had to purchase this for an upcoming trip to Africa. The safari outfitter stated duffel bags are the only ones to get. I tried it out on a two-week trip to Georgia and the Carolinas and it passed with flying colors. It endured 4 flights and came out looking brand new. I love the side pockets -- perfect for shoes. And the roller is a must for me. The two main compartments are zippered, so you can place the heavy stuff on the bottom, and the lightweight stuff in the upper compartment. I'm impressed! (The rest of my luggage is Briggs and Riley -- I love my luggage more than anything!)

I like the price and the brand and the quality seems pretty good, but I haven’t used it yet, so not sure how long this piece of luggage will last. My last Samsonite duffel roller bag lasted a long time and held up quite well. This one doesn’t seem to be quite the same quality. I like that the zipper and zipper pulls are sturdy. I like the end compartment for shoes, but large shoes will not fit in here; my size 7 tennis shoes fit nicely. I like the two compartments; I like the in-line rollers, and I like the protection at the bottom of the case. I don’t like that it has no straps in the bottom compartment to secure your contents and without straps contents will shift. Same with the top compartment - no straps. Can’t understand why Samsonite wouldn’t add to the straps. The handle seems sturdy; however, there are two canvas handles for picking up the bag off of a bag claim carousel, and those handles are not tacked down. They are simply sewn in, so I’m not sure how long the last. The handles are not padded. Samsonite could’ve done a few things to make this bag superb but missed a few key features.

This bag can carry a lot of clothing and assorted accessories. Took on recent cruise and the bag was filled to capacity weighing in at 51 lbs. Bag wheels and carry handle held up great during trip despite heavy load. Bag has three separate large compartments and two side pockets. So far the bag is holding up perfectly and looks great, too!

I bought this roller duffel for an upcoming trip to Germany. One use with the bag only 75% full, I found the stitching of the interior separator between upper and lower compartments had come apart. This was likely due to the thin material used in the panel and/or poor workmanship in stitching the panel too close to its edge. I bought this duffel to replace a similar bag by Sierra Designs, which after years of use and MANY domestic and international trips remains serviceable. Not so after a single user with the Samsonite bag! Also, the Date of Production of the duffel was 03/01/2022. In submitting the repair request, a message appeared indicating the warranty (3 Yrs) was no longer in effect and that Samsonite would review to see if warranty coverage applied. Samsonite wants the bag taken to one of their stores where a $20.00 fee applies to send the bag out for evaluation on the chance they may repair at further cost to me! Unbelievable for a bag used one time!. I am very disappointed in my thinking Samsonite is a quality luggage brand. It appears, reading multiple reviews that this product is inferior in construction and materials with numerous complaints of seams and zippers failing. Time to shop for a Sierra Designs bag and hope for better results.

Just what I wanted. The duffle bag is easy to pack and the wheels make it easy to transport.

The best thing about the suitcase is that it's large and roomy, the right size for 2-3 weeks of travel. It rolls well and smoothly. The zippers are fairly sturdy and the thing has held together after 2 years of use including several short trips and a 2.5 week vacation abroad with frequent moving between destinations. The quality of the material, however, is not great. Parts of the outer fabric started to show visible wear after very little use. While it has not fallen apart or torn open (after 2 years of use), it feels a little flimsy. In addition, the size is a little awkward because it's very long and narrow, making it hard to fit in certain compartments such as luggage compartments on trains.

Plenty of room, rolls easily. Good value.

Just in case Samonsite reads the reviews, there are 2 things that would make this product perfect. 1) There is a strap on one end by the plastic handle, but none on the other end. A strap on each end of the bag would be great. 2) Add a shoulder strap, so you can throw it over your shoulder. Otherwise, the bag is great for a carry-on size duffel with wheels. I like that it is simple and lightweight -- you can fit a lot more in this bag than other duffels with more compartments.

I needed a suitcase for transporting an old and valuable ukulele in it's longish semi-hard case on a recent flight. This was the only luggage I could find with a compartment long enough, sturdy enough, and "close" to the airline's size limitation (about 3" too big, but I didn't fill the end compartments - went through just fine). The bag worked great, it seems very durable, and the valuable ukulele came through perfectly.
