I got this specifically to put on a queen-sized platform bed frame to keep my mattress from sliding around on the metal frame. Since the product is 5” x 40”, I cut it into 5) 1” x 40” strips. This was the perfect amount to cover the entire length of 2) 80” sides and most of 1) 60” end. (Hint, you can measure and draw lines on the white backing to follow when cutting.) I peeled off the white backing before sticking it down, and then removed the clear protective tape on the top. The silicone has a “sticky” kind of feel, but does not leave any kind of sticky residue on anything. It just holds on tight to whatever is placed on top of it so nothing moves. A perfect solution to fix my sliding mattress. I can see how this would also be perfect for any furniture that you don’t want to move around on a wood or tile floor, or even under an object you don’t want to move off a shelf. I imagine this would also be great for anything you might have in an RV that you don’t want to slide around as you’re driving down the road! The fact that you can easily cut it into any size or shape you need makes this incredibly versatile.

This silicone tape is great and works really well to keep things in place. I almost returned it because neither side was sticky. Then I found out that the sticky part was being pulled up with the paper lining and not staying on the product. I separated it with my fingernails and then the rest of the role has been fine. Hopefully, that was just a manufacturing error and they aren't all like that.

About 1mm thick. Silicone rubber has good friction, will not slide. Adhesive is very sticky, I don’t think this is coming off unless you want it to. I used it to fix a ticket stabber that wouldn’t stay put. 3D printed a spacer, glued it underneath the ticket stabber, cut a circle out of the silicone mat, peel and stick on the spacer, ticket stabber does not slide now. In fact, when I pick it up off of a smooth surface, I hear a pop like you would a suction cup. Pics attached.

It’s pretty cool having a roll of this stuff instead of the pre stamped circles the stores have. The sticker side is 3m and holds really well. The silicone side is also very grabby. Make sure to peel off the plastic liner from the silicone side or it doesn’t stick to anything. I used a small piece of scotch tape at the corner to grab that clear plastic and get it started.

This tape work as expected. I used it on several gadgets that keep sliding on some hard surface. It prevents sliding really well. However, on my first attempt of removing the paper backing from adhesive side the entire adhesive tape came off the silicone. So I want to see how long the adhesive tape will stay.

My toddler's step stool kept sliding on our hardwood floor. I put just a little strip of these on each of the four corners and it never moves. It grips so good the stool is stuck to the floor when I have to move it. A great product.
