    Works great!

I hooked up the little water pump and clipped it to a battery and it pumps fast!! I'm impressed with the way it's made, this size, how fast it pumps and over all, it's just a handy little pump! I think if you're looking for a good pump that you can take out to a water source hook it up to a 12v battery and pump water quickly you'll love this pump!

Good value, it works well. Use it to fill garage floor heat. worked very fast and have not had any problems with it or regret buying it.

    Not bad while it lasted.

Overall while this worked it worked great. I used it to transfer 100gals of water from my pool to my cold plunge tank about every 3 weeks. It was a little slower than I cared for but I couldn’t find much that was more powerful with self priming. It worked like a charm until my last use when it seemed to slow down but still worked. Today the little plastic impeller came completely apart into pieces. So much for that. I’d say for small projects maybe. The only problem with this unit is this cheap plastic impeller. Should’ve been metal and it would’ve lasted years.

    Pump works good

This pump works great. It is a transfer pump so it is noisy but we are using it as a shower pump at our off grid home. We have it installed so there isn’t any lift required for suction. It is also mounted down stream of a 1 micron filter and feeds a tankless how water heater prior to the shower. It has good flow and good pressure for our purpose. I have actually ordered second one as a backup for another pump.

    Quality not great

I hooked up the pump and it ran erratically with the RPMs going up and down. It stopped working after 20 seconds. I Removed the back plate and found that one of the brushes was retracted in it's housing. Turns out the brush spring was squished and broken. After replacing the spring with a spare from a different tool, it worked great. The motor now keeps constant RPM and pumps really well, albeit it's pretty loud. I converted mine to run off Ryobi 1+ batteries and used a PWM to control the voltage. I can now use the water from my kids' inflatable pool to water different parts of my yard instead of only where the pool drains out. I'd have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to repair a brand new item that only worked for 20 seconds. Revising my review. This thing has lasted a total of maybe 6 hours run time. Spend your money elsewhere.

Perfect little pump for draining rain water from pool cover.

I took a chance on this little pump when two major storms dumped a lot of water on our pool cover. It really did the job. My only criticism is that the included pickup plate needed to be enclosed in a laundry delicates bag to prevent the takeup from being compromised. I added a couple of small stones to keep it at a deeper spot on the cover and it moved a lot of water in a relatively short time. I added a garden hose to its output and it sent the water right to the drain.

    Disappointed

First off they say it is self priming. Kind of, but they want you to pour water in the outlet first to lube the impeller. You have 15 seconds to get water flow or you will burn up the impeller. That worked. I guess each time you use it you could squirt a bunch of petroleum jelly in the inlet to get it started. It actually pumps too well. If you are working with a shallow pool it will pump the water surrounding the suction head down so low it starts sucking air. Now you just have foam coming out and you are worrying about the impeller wearing out. I think I will grind the head legs down so it sits lower. I guess in a deep pool it would work OK but slow. In a shallow pool it doesn't work well. It needs constant supervision. If I had some little water feature pump mabe the head could be useful. Plus the hose is so stiff it is going to pull the head of the floor. I had to put a brick on it. This really needs a smaller hose and pump. It is hardly worth $55.

Not bad. Not great, but not bad.

I use the pump to transfer water from rain barrels to watering containers. I was a little concerned when the mounting plate was bent upon opening the package. The metal is thin, so it was easy to get back into shape. The pump fills my half-dozen 5-gallon containers in about 5-7 minutes. Since I run the pump off of a battery, I turn it on and off by putting the clamp on the battery terminal. It would be nice if the unit had a switch so you don't need to deal with the sparks. I'll be adding an inline switch soon. I would buy this again.

    Very handy

Built well. Not a ton of power but it is little and does a good job. I gave it 4 stars because there is no on/off switch and being on my own this is a challenge. Trying to have the suction end in place in one area and plugging in - in another area without the hose coming out of the water is an irritating challenge. Doable though and I am glad I bought it
