Finally got one that says what it is and does what it says. A rechargeable soldering iron. I have tried a few other of these that say cordless that end up changing the description after order and were not cordless or rechargeable. This charges and works great. It came with everything it said it would come with. Most importantly tips. It comes with the 2 shown and both are tips I use. The other units I tried showed many tips but only came with 1 chisel style that didn't work for what I wanted to use it for. This unit came with 2 tips, BOTH of which I use weekly. I have a older plug in Weller for days I will be doing a ton of soldering or RC racing nights. But that set up it a pain for when I need to just do a quick solder job. Setting up a new run of led strip lighting and only need a couple small solder joints. This works great. I had to set up a couple jobs just to test this. Was great. Nice extras that most others didnt come with. A stand most importantly. Only thing I would say this needs is a case. A cheap molded closing case would be great. But wouldnt mark any stars off for that. Knew it didnt have one. Just would be the only thing I can think of that would improve this unit. Maybe optional tips. Thats what I am looking into now. Just to have them, extras. I can go through them sometimes with all the soldering I do. Nice unit and looking forward to actually doing my next small soldering job. Will update this if needed.

The soldering iron is lightweight and easy to hold in the hands. It's much bigger than my other irons that I am used to, so I only use this iron when doing a quick solder joint on some wires. Being wireless is definitely the selling point of this iron. It's great not being tethered to a wire when soldering something that's in an inconvenient location. The included tips, solder and flux makes it a great starter kit for beginners. Having the stand to place the iron in while you are doing other tasks is a nice touch. The only concern I have is the unconventional iron tips. I am unsure where I would find them if the need ever arises for a replacement.
- Zero Cool2024-06-23Not too bad. Just not sure that the temperature is accurate...
First off, I thought that I would gather up some of the statistics and put them in one place so that those who want to know them don't have to hunt them all down. -- Battery Capacity: 1500mAh -- Charging Time: 2 hours -- Run Time: 30 minutes -- Protection Grade: IP20 -- Temperature Range: 392℉ - 842℉ (supposedly...) -- Heating-up Time: 10 seconds (supposedly...) -- Voltage: 4V DC -- Power: 8W - 10W Alright, so now I will try and describe what I mean regarding what I put in the headline. I have one of those infrared cameras that can be hooked up to a cell phone that cost a good deal of money, so I'm pretty confident about the accuracy of it. And well, this soldering gun does NOT heat up in 10 seconds. Not by a longshot. Let me put it this way. I stopped trying to see how long it would take to get up to the lowest temperature of 392℉ because it was taking too long. Which was at least a minute too long... And also because it never even got up to that temperature. It wasn't until I put it on the max temperature of 842℉ that it finally got up to the lowest temperature and passed it. But then it would never get up to the highest temperature that I set it on. What's more, I would turn it off and back on and it would count down how long it was going to be until it reached the temperature that it was set on. But as I watched the temperature with my infrared camera, when the soldering iron finished counting down it wasn't at the target temperature yet, AND the temperature was still slowly increasing! So I don't know... Maybe I was doing something wrong, or maybe I just happened to get one that was malfunctioning. But either way, if you are someone who has gotten one of these or plans to get one, then I would suggest trying to get the means to check the temperature of the tips while they are heating up and after it says they have been heated up. And I don't think you would necessarily need a really expensive infrared camera either. One of those temperature guns that uses a laser or whatever would probably work pretty good too. They aren't usually very costly either, if I remember correctly. Oh, and just one more thing. Something like this should really come with some kind of a case. I'm pretty sure that no one wants to have to keep the soldering iron and all of it's accessories just loose somewhere, or in the box that it comes in with it's vacuum-formed piece of plastic, right? Lol, but anyway... That was just a general complaint, and it didn't have anything to do with my rating. And that's because the listing didn't mention anything about a case so I didn't expect one anyway.
- Tooey H.2024-06-27Wireless with a task light!
I don't solder very often but every time I do I was having to borrow my dad's stuff. Then I found this little guy. My favorite part about it is that it's wireless and it has a great little LED task light. It also comes with everything you need to complete a task, stand, solder, flux and instructions. But I already had a name brand flux and solder that I use so I didn't use what was included in this box. It has a nice grippy feeling to it and came with two tips that screw in. It has a digital readout for temperature and even tells you how full your battery is. It heats up quickly and works as well as a wired solder as far as I am concerned. I don't know how long the battery lasts because I used it one quick time for about 10 minutes, and the battery said it was still 2/3 charged.
- Glacierjay2024-06-20Great! Solders well, easy to pack
I used this to solder some pretty small electrical connections on an adaptor between a radio and a Raspberry Pi that controls it. The iron heats pretty fast, and you know it has heated up because the temperature displays on the control panel. I'm replacing an old propane-powered portable soldering iron and I could not be happier with this as the replacement. Propane iron took a long time to heat up and seemed to cool down too fast when used. I can't imagine buying anything but a battery iron today. I was a little surprised that they shipped non-resin-core solder and a jar of resin with the soldering iron. It does not use USB-C PD for quick charging but that's OK. It charged up in about 20 minutes after maybe 10 minutes running at 375 degrees.
- Kelly S.2024-07-01It's absolutely perfect for my crafting needs!
Cordless Soldering Iron Kit arrived packaged well and in good condition. It charges quickly, the charge lasting quite a while. I don't solder, I purchased this for crafting and it is perfect for my needs. Not fighting a cord while cutting my deco mesh is amazing. It heats up quickly and holds the heat in between cutting, sealing the edges of my material well. The unit is comfortable to hold and easy to use. It's a great product made with quality materials.
- TJ2024-06-29Great portable soldering iron
I was really impressed on how fast this thing heated up. I didn't expect it to heat up as quick as it did. Sometimes I'm out doing something and I just need to make a quick repair so this makes life a lot easier to have a portable version instead of having to run an extension cord and everything else for my normal soldering iron. This also lets me do repairs or connections in place versus having to solder everything and then carefully carry it to where it's gonna be installed. I do a lot of LED strips and lighting so this makes for quick repair or quick connections in general. I can't really speak to how long the battery last cause I've only done a couple of quick repairs. But if the battery doesn't last for too long or there's an issue, I'll definitely come back and update my review
- Rob Roberts2024-06-29Decent iron
I was really excited to get this in. I do a lot of soldering doing repair on small electronics as well as electronics in my 3D prints. I was immediately disappointed. I worked with the tip for quite a while and I couldn't get it to seat properly no kmatter what I did. It has a light bulb socket looking thing that you're supposed to screw the tips into. Well, either they're made badly or I received a real bad lemon. I don't believe its the latter but one can hope.
- Kyle D. Kaurin2024-06-24great for projects where a cord is a problem
I love this battery powered soldering iron. It comes in handy when using it on a car (soldering speaker wires and aux wire assembly that broke.) The solder included didn't have flux, but thats okay because I have my own. The iron heats up very quickly, and I didn't have any problems with the battery running out. I think this is a great product!
- MamaBear2IV2024-06-20Soldering Iron Works Great - Accessories Are Garbage
This soldering iron heated up very quickly, changed temperatures easily, and did the job I needed it to do. I especially love that it's cordless and I don't have to track down an extension cord or be close to an outlet to use it. The accessories it came with, however, are junk. There are instructions on the flux to mix it with alcohol to activate it, however, even with the alcohol, it never did activate making it entirely useless. The soldering wire is clearly lacking in quality as it didn't melt properly - I ended up using my own flux and wire and the soldering iron itself worked great. The battery life is also not spectacular - it's good for small projects, but not continual use for a larger project. One thing that would also make this set better would be if it came with a case for easy storing. Four stars for the soldering iron itself, but all in all could use some improvements.
