My husband was thrilled when he learned about this item, which arrived while he was recovering from a prolonged illness. Spending a lot of time at home, in bed, and in significant pain, he was feeling very bored. However, he found great comfort and solace in this dragon and egg, being able to fidget with it for extended periods. Due to his impaired vision, he takes more time to inspect items with his hands than most people normally would. Surprisingly, he showed me that despite being made of plastic (we think), both the dragon and egg felt like wood, with the dragon feeling much more like wood than the egg. The dragon had an incredible level of detail, even featuring movable and extendable wings, which was impressive considering it was made of plastic. Even when not being used as a fidget item, the dragon and egg make for unique decorative pieces for the home. Many people noticed the dragon and egg when we had it out, and it was always a delight to surprise them with the revelation that the dragon was made of plastic. I think this is a fun and uniquely made item that would make a great gift as well. Even though my husband knew it was coming, he greatly appreciated having it during a challenging time. I look forward to seeing more items from this manufacturer, as I can't imagine what other fantasy creations they could come up with and would love to see more!

This 3D printed dragon is great! I think they must use filament that is half one color and half the other to give the effect of a color change as you move the dragon - the tiny ridges in the piece sort of add to the optical illusion. It's pretty amazing looking, especially under point lighting. Some notes: The box is... not very special for gift giving. Plan to put it in some tissue and a nicer box or gift bag. The egg opens by twisting. I tried to pry it open for some time before figuring it out. Oops. The dragon's wings and feet are jointed and the wings fold and unfold to go back into the egg. On mine, one wing is very loose and the other barely would move, I was afraid I'd break it trying to unfurl the wing, but it loosened up enough to move with some trying. The tail and body have a smooth, liquid looking articulation that is really fun. I am saving this and a golden one I have gotten for gift giving to my son and daughter who both love dragons. I think properly packaged they will make fun gifts!

Tiny dragon but not first winged dragon I got that came with an egg, and they always make it smaller to accomodate wings in the egg so they don't have to make bigger eggs.
