The saber came perfectly packaged and ready for use. I loved the different light options to play with and how versatile the options were to play. You could change it into a gun or back to a sword with ease. Overall, a very nice toy for those that love SciFi!

This toy lightsaber is lightweight to the point that you wonder if it will break in half after 5 minutes of play by a 5 year old. The retractable blade is janky and flimsy. The handle makes a rattling noise when held and moved. Once turned on, you can switch between a handful of colors. It is responsive to being hit (making light saber noises), however, this requires quite some force, which ironically I do not think the light saber can withstand for a long time. To give it some credit, it charges with a USB-C, which is a pleasant surprise suggesting that it is slightly modernized, but overall is a cheap toy that does not seem designed for longevity.

While the multi-colored lights and sound effects make this a fun lightsaber toy, the saber is not easily retractable. If there is a trick to quickly and easily retracting it after being fully extended, I don't know what it is. At first, I thought I might have gotten a defective product--it happens--but I had the exact same issue with the replacement I received. While disappointed in this feature, the saber itself is still a fully-functional toy that my grandkids find super cool. I just can't collapse it for easy storage.

This toy laser sword is obviously not going to take the place of expensive SW universe replicas and such, but as an around-the-house toy it does a pretty good job. It is rechargeable, so no hunting around for constant battery replacements. Mine does not make any different sounds when hitting other things, and for me the sound is an overall detractor because it's at outdoor volume with mostly indoor applications. Three quick-taps of the power button will mute the sound. Both my older sons picked it up and liked playing with it, so it does have entertainment value. For this price class, it's a nice toy.

The three grandsons ages 11, 8, and 4 think this is really cool. It converts to a gun or a saber. The saber changes colors. It's sound effects resemble Star Wars and is really cool. It's well-made, worth the asking price. I would certainly buy this for someone as a gift.

Great to play with a group. The sabers make noise upon contact which is super fun. They’re pretty sturdy too because we play pretty rough and no breaks so far.
