I have something similar with just a smooth bottom and no lights or electronics. (Looks like 1/2 of a small soccer ball.) It glides smoothly over carpet, and seemed fun….until THIS arrived! First thing I did was charge it, which didn’t seem to take too long, but I forgot to time it. But after it was charged, I turned it on and put it on the carpet in my bedroom. (I know it states to use it on smooth, indoor surfaces only, but I was curious about what it would do.) It would still move very easily across carpet, but it’s CRAZY FUN on hardwood or vinyl flooring!! It’s surrounded with extremely soft foam to prevent damage to furniture, which is a good thing!! Do supervise kids to make sure they don’t pick it up to toss or put on their heads to feel the air. (Kids would do that!!) You definitely don’t want this to get tangled in somebody’s hair! This is a lot of fun, and, so far, worth the price!! It would be great for rainy days, or, in Texas, when it’s 300 degrees outside!!

This hover disk arrived partly charged, so I was able to give it a quick test immediately, and then charged it fully before releasing it to some preschoolers. A 2-year-old was initially a bit afraid of it. (I think it reminded him of robotic vacuums, of which he has some unexplained fear.) But the other preschoolers, as well as their parents, thought it was great. We glided it across many types of indoor flooring: hardwood, ceramic tile, vinyl, and low-pile carpet. We also tried it on an epoxy garage floor. It performed equally well on all. I like the speed at which it moves, and how it does not take much of a push to send it a good 12 feet across the floor -- and it never "crashes" into walls or objects, just gently touches them before changing directions. I also like the flashing lights, its overall size, and the fact that it is rechargeable. Another plus is that it is not too noisy.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this but it’s kind of like an air hockey puck. There is a rechargeable fan on the bottom that is what makes it hover. It is nice that it is rechargeable and not battery operated. It also has rubber edges so it bounces off surfaces easily to glide from one place to the next. I gave this to my 9 year old son for his birthday and he was playing with it with his 15 and 16 year old cousins who also seemed to get a kick out of it. It’s nice for something different!

I'm a Physics teacher, and I got this for my classroom. My children have been playing with it in the meantime, and it seems to work great. Lots of fun to push around, and it is easy to charge up. I like not having to deal with batteries, because the old ones I have eat through a set of batteries in a day. This, I can just keep charging on my desk in between classes and it will be fine, since it holds a charge for quite a while.

This is the third one of these I've gotten, the others being of different brands. They are super fun and really work well on hard surfaces. But they all break and they break quickly. This one has not yet broken but it's construction is of identical quality to the rest. So, we're going to have a blast with it while it lasts and mitigate our expectations accordingly. It's not built for longevity and that's okay.

Great fun to play with! Had to take it a part to reglue a piece of plastic, my kids probably were a bit rough with it. Otherwise works as advertised!

This is great! My son loves soccer and constantly wants to kick balls in the house. This is a perfect solution to balls crashing into my lamps and furniture! I was able to use this out of the box because it was partially charged. It’s so much fun. My son loves kicking it around. It goes smoothly over my floors (both hardwood and carpet). It’s very well cushioned so it doesn’t do any damage. My son loves that it lights up. Just adds to the fun. Great for any time you’re stuck indoors!

This is a simple product with plenty of fun lights and a unique hovering design that allows it to float effortlessly around any hard surface. My young boys love playing with it and kicking it all over the house!

If you have kids who are constantly kicking balls around the house even when you tell them not to then this is the thing you need. The kids love to play with this and I don't have to worry about it hitting the ceiling fan or a TV. They can still have their fun but without risking damaging the house. It hovers well on hard surfaces and slides quite a distance. Overall a fun little toy for the soccer enthusiast in your house.

This works perfect for our kids, they love to turn it on and chase it around or kick it around. The cats even get involved if they are feeling playful enough. Absolutely no complaint at all.
