- JF2024-06-17Awesome security camera!
This product is awesome! I am amazed at the quality and features at this price. The picture quality is very good, both day and night. The visual coverage area is very large too. I have it at my back door and can see everything going on. What's really great is that I can record video without having to pay for a subscription. Recordings are available for 72 hours but you can also use an SD card (you have to provide your own) to save them indefinitely. It was really easy to set up, too. You screw it into a light socket, of course, set up the app, and connect it to the wifi. Motion detection works great, too. It is good at differentiating between people, animals, and cars so you can set it up to capture what you want. You can also use it as an intercom. Anyway, I glad I gave this a try because it's really cool and I feel much better being able to see what's going on out back late at night.
- Z. Shopperson2024-05-28Better features than other similar cameras
As other reviewers mentioned, the camera has a good picture and is easy to install, particularly as regards connecting to the Wi-Fi. I have several other similar cameras and what makes this one better in my view is the following: -The app is much faster to load and to start playing the video. It does it in a second or two, while other cameras/apps take anywhere between 5 and 15 seconds. This is important if you hear something and try to quickly see what is going on, or if you receive a notification in what could be a security situation. - Notifications from this cam are very fast, almost instant, while on my other cams they take up to 10 seconds. Again, this is important in a security situation. - You get up to 20 seconds of recording without a subscription. The other cams I have record a max of 5 seconds, and the recorded clips are retained for 3 days with this cam, while they are retained for only one day on the other cams I have. - The motion tracking feature, which is not available on my other cams, can be very useful when recording motion. The camera follows the subject as they move, which allows for a better overall depiction. - This camera differentiates accurately between pets and humans. - This camera has much less false notifications, even when motion detection is set on high sensitivity. Overall it is an excellent camera and the 2K resolution provides a good balance between video quality and video speed.
- B.G.2024-05-30Great motion tracking!
I recently installed the 2K Light Bulb Security Camera in my walk-in closet, and I’ve been quite impressed with its performance. Let me break down the key features: Motion Tracking and Alerts: The camera’s motion tracking feature is excellent. It automatically focuses on a person as they move around, ensuring detailed event recording. Whenever movement is detected, I receive an instant alert on my phone. This real-time notification keeps me informed about any activity in my home. Picture Clarity and Night Vision: The 2K HD video quality provides clear and sharp images. Whether it’s daytime or nighttime, I can see everything clearly. The camera has night vision capabilities with infrared technology, allowing me to monitor my closet even in complete darkness. Easy Setup and App Integration: Setting up the VicoHome App on my phone was a breeze. Within minutes, I had the camera connected to my home Wi-Fi network. The app interface is user-friendly, allowing me to access live and recorded video in HD quality. Plus, I can remotely control the camera from anywhere. Two-Way Audio: The 2-way audio feature lets me communicate directly with anyone near the camera. Whether it’s a delivery person or an intruder, I can speak to them through the built-in microphone and speaker. Additionally, there’s a siren alarm that can deter unwanted visitors. Flexible Storage Options: I have two storage options: cloud storage with a 30-day trial or local recording using a micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included). Storing videos locally gives me peace of mind, especially if I want to review footage later. Light Bulb Socket Integration: The camera fits into a standard E26 120-volt light bulb socket. This design is convenient and discreet. However, the light could be a bit brighter. It’s functional, but a little extra brightness would be ideal. In comparison to my Ring cameras, the Light Bulb Camera outperforms them in terms of motion tracking accuracy and picture quality. Overall, it’s a reliable security solution for indoor spaces like closets, hallways, or garages. Remember that this camera works with 2.4GHz an d 5Ghz Wi-Fi networks, so make sure your home network is compatible. Enjoy the added security and peace of mind!
- Bill Prentice2023-09-16Good fixture camera, couple of small cons
Got this camera and have been testing it out for a few days. Software - The app that is used for the camera (VicoHome) is pretty good. At least as far as the English language interface is concerned there are no glaring misspellings or grammar issues. The setup was quick and easy and did not have any failures. Settings are easily found within the app. Manual - The manual is well written just like the app. Very clear and easy to understand. Good drawings which help clarify things. Functionality - I've been using this on the inside, mainly in an area where my cats roam and play a lot. It does manage to pick up both humans and animals accurately and makes good clear recordings. Since this is being used inside I'm using a lamp base I have set on the floor - The camera design is such that while it can be set for correct rotation (i.e. people appear upright even though the camera is 'upside down') it is limited in how low it can track. Based on testing it's 'lowest' aim in a standard light fixture is parallel to the floor. One nit I found today though was that the camera got 'stuck' tracking a ceiling fan's motion. Pros : - Good camera - Good sound - Good software - Can pick up and differentiate (and exclude) animals from people - Notifications can be set to be sent on people, animals, or both, as well as non-person/pet motions Cons : - (VERY minor) Limited vertical range in an 'upright' configuration. This would not be a problem in the normal from-the-ceiling/overhead configuration. - (minor) Camera's motion detection got confused by and stuck tracking a ceiling fan's blades that came into camera view while tracking movements - (minor) Noise from the camera's motor rotating got picked up in a couple of the motion-detection videos - (medium) Recording time on motion detection in the app is limited to 10, 15, or 20 seconds. I would prefer being able to set a higher value like 60 seconds as the movement was still being tracked when the video cut at max length. - (medium) It looks like being able to set specific activity zones is an upgrade to the app.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the "2K Light Bulb Security Camera - 5G&2.4GHz Dual Bands 360° Motion Detection Cameras for home," and I must say, it has completely exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the camera's dual-band technology ensures a seamless connection. It supports both 5G and 2.4GHz bands, providing reliable and uninterrupted surveillance. The 360° motion detection feature is a game-changer, allowing me to monitor every corner of my home effortlessly. The video quality of this camera is outstanding. With its 2K resolution, I can clearly see every detail in real-time, day or night. The night vision capabilities are impressive, offering crisp and clear footage even in complete darkness. Setting up the camera was a breeze. The user-friendly app guided me through the process, and I was up and running in no time. Additionally, the app allows for remote access, so I can monitor my home from anywhere using my smartphone. Overall, I highly recommend the "2K Light Bulb Security Camera." It offers top-notch security features, easy installation, and exceptional video quality. If you're looking for a reliable and innovative security solution for your home, this camera is definitely worth considering.
- Si Si V Lee2024-06-26Easy setup, sharp images, 360 rotation
I initially installed the bulb in my bedside lamp so that it's easier to set it up. Downloading the app and setup was smooth. The app walks you through it step by step. It did take a few seconds after screwing the bulb in before it lit up and made sounds, so be patient. After I set up everything, I move it to the laundry room where the light fixture is connected to a motion sensor switch, so that didn't work very well since the bulb would lose power everytime the switch times out and turns off. So I moved it to the garage where I have a fixture connected to a regular on/off switch. That worked perfectly. You are able to turn the light to a white light via the app, but I wished it could be a white light all the time so that it's not an extra step to get a brighter light. The bulb does have a blue light when on though. I liked that the camera can rotate and give you a 360 view. The images also come across super sharp. Notifications came right away when motion was detected. Overall, it's a nice, easy to install, security camera bulb.
- Kenny2024-07-13Easy set up
Set up was pretty easy, a lot more user friendly than hassle experienced with other cameras. Definitely a deal for price. I have two of the same cameras for front and back of house. Picture quality is very clear and very little lagging when watching live. Features are plenty. I like adjusting sensitivity for both motion and person. With monthly subscription, less than $10 monthly for both cameras, alerts and notifications precise. Identifies person or pet, can distinguish between the two of an animal or person. Detection and tracking are on the spot and the cameras catch everything. Very few false alarms but it something blowing in the wind (flags) or paper.
- Jenn Mangi2024-02-27What to know before you buy
The cameras are really good for the price. The app that the cameras use are not so great. I purchased 4 cameras and you can add as many as you’d like. The problems with this system: - disconnects a lot ( you have to reset your app and sometimes turn off the camera and turn back on again.) - can only view and control only one camera at a time on list mode - can view multiple cameras but you can’t move any cameras on grid mode - doesn’t do a great job at detection - the motion sensor can be slow (camera doesn’t always follow if the subject moves too fast.) - even when you pay for the app the recording only records up to 3 minutes but even with active movement the app has only recorded 20 seconds at most for me. On “auto” - the camera has an option to record only up to 20 seconds or “auto record movement for up to 3 minutes” (see above) - the alarm is not very loud. It’s okay but I have it downstairs right under my room and I can’t hear it when it goes off. - it’s not the easiest to delete recordings. You have to load all of them before deleting and only about 20 at a time loads. It’s a lot of scrolling. - if you place this near a wall, during the nights the night vision light triggers the motion sensor and the camera will end up facing the wall so you’ll need to turn off motion tracking at night. - can only be viewed from one device at a time and will kick the other device out. (Read below for work around.) - the night vision has colored and b&w option but pretty much does what it wants regardless of what you put. - motion tracker can be slow - memory card will not continuously record it will only hold what you transfer or what the app already holds. - can only control one camera at a time ( to turn on notifications or alarms) there is not a turn on all option Good things - very easy to install - great baby monitor although it will keep telling you that a “pet is detected” - you can “add a friends camera(s)” just use more than one email and ask for permission from the main account. This is good for roommates or couples that want to both have access. Although the secondary account has limited access. - camera moves to track motion - pretty good video quality - night vision is okay (a little fuzzy but still good) - app is simple
- Wolfman2024-06-16Let's clap for no more stolen packages
My title seem maybe a little extreme. But I had really bad luck with the most valuable packages.they've been stolen a few times from my doorsteps within 45 minutes to an hour. I don't expect my neighbors to point fingers, maybe they didn't see nothing. To prevent too much hostology and when you don't have proof is the best sometimes to swallow your loss and make sure that never happens again. It took me a minute to trust the right item to buy, which is nearly impossible there's no guarantee for anything. Long story short I can recommend this light bulb that tracks motion even little creature it is very alert I have only spent 2 minutes to set it up you plug it in like you do any light bulb you see a blue light you hear sound you follow the instructions on the app and boom there it is you have it beautiful webcam that can track who's coming by your house who's walking by your house or lingering by your house . let's not forget thea nother important reason your precious packages won't get stolen. ( And a huge plus I can watch my children from the kitchen while cooking, and here it comes you can even speak through the app. You see something somebody approaches the house you press the button on the app you speak and there you go voila beautiful.Take those measurements because the truth is sometimes you can't prove anything and you sit on the Lost get,but this webcam it is super easy to put in if has any malfunction function we haven't had any yet but we only had it for 24 hours so if there's anything I can do an update. But so far I'm impressed. There is a free option and there is an option where you pay a monthly small fee or if a yearly but you get a free trial so and that's what I'm on right now the premium free trial. Why haven't I thought about this before 🤔
- Libby2024-07-03Not Bad...But
This is not a bad camera. The visual during the day is very clear and looks great. The camera moves nicely in almost every direction. The alarm is alright, more of a hey...look at me so I can get a better shot. Haha. The notifications are almost dead on. The downsides: the wifi riuter is about 25 feet from the camera, and there is poor signal. My Blink camera is about 50 ft and has a medium connection to the wifi. The night vision, when using the auto night vision in black and white, there's a reflective light coming off the housing from the camera. I thought there was a bug, but after checking and testing for days....every night the spot is there. It is the reflection of the camera for sure. I haven't tried the white light function yet, but plan on it. Even with those 2 things, this is a solid camera and would recommend.
