- JRIC2024-07-09Handy adapter for travel despite the weight
This, like most of the new GAN based chargers, is rather heavy for it's size. I'd say it's at least twice as heavy as my Apple charger - perhaps more. Still, I've moved this into my travel bag as my new travel adapter. I think the weight is well worth the items that it replaces. 1. You can charge two laptops at once (only 45w each), so it's effectively like having two MacBook chargers in your bag. 2. Charges up to four items total - 3 USB C and USB A. Note that it's 100W *total*, but would work great for charging two laptops, a tablet and a phone when not in use (overnight). 3. You have an extension cord and additional power outlet built in. 4. You have a flat plug adapter, which is much more convenient than the unwieldy Apple charger that sticks out of the wall. When traveling I often find I have to use an outlet behind a couch or other furniture and this will be great. I confirmed with my MacBook and a USB power monitor that when plugged in by itself it serves as a 100W charger. The instructions say that the charger will work with 220V but that the extension cord does not. I assume it will work through the extension cord when plugged into a country specific (but non-voltage converting) adapter. The biggest downside besides the weight is that the connection between the charger and the extension cord doesn't feel incredibly solid. It hasn't been an issue yet in practice, since the charger stays stationary, but if it does I will probably just use a rubber band to keep the two parts tightly together. I work on the road quite a bit, so if I run into any issues over the next year I will update this review accordingly.
- Kindle Customer2024-07-06Useful but surprisingly heavy
I'm always looking for the next best thing in travel gear. I've not seen one like this before, great idea, although in the end not an amazing amount of ports. But with a 5 ft cord, it can do a lot of things in a smaller place like a hotel or cruise cabin. 3 type C usb and one type A usb port, and two standard wall sockets if you detach the usb module, which otherwise takes up one wall socket. What surprised me is how heavy it is. I have other similar devices without the detachable piece that don't weigh as much, which can make a difference when on the road.
- A-Aron2024-07-03A great travel charger!
I really really like this charger - it is very versatile and powerful. According to my mac, it’s delivering 100w when plugged in alone, 67w when sharing with an iPhone 15, and 60w when sharing with an iPhone 15 and an 11” iPad Pro. At the time I tested, the iPhone and the iPad were fairly well charged so the iPhone was pulling ~ 6-8w and the iPad was pulling ~ 5-10w. I love the modular design and being able to use the charger as a charger with 1 AC outlet or a two piece arrangement - a charger and a 2 AC outlet extension cord. Oh, the AC port is in fact grounded, which is not always the case with travel chargers, even if there is a 3-prong receptacle. I also like the little blue light on the front - it’s not too bright and won’t bother me at night. The charger itself is built like a tank. This is a double-edged sword though. It feels well built and substantial, but in the word of modern chargers, it is heavy - over 1lb. It's not the cheapest charger on the around, but it feels like a little bit of charger luxury. At the end of the day, I have replaced my previous travel charging station with this one and I am very pleased.
- Nebti192024-07-01Solid quality, could use a bit more power...
I like this charger's build quality and extension cord, and I trust its power ratings. Here's the thing, however: if you're traveling with a laptop, phone, watch and iPad (admittedly a heavy load of electronics) you may need more power from a travel charger than even the 100W version provides. On long trips with my wife I generally want as much power as I can get from a travel charger along with as many ports as possible We often have both our MacBook Pro laptops with us, two iPhones, my watch, an iPad and at least one emergency battery pack. I have a 200W GAN charger that can handle it all--but it's a no-name brand and I trust this charger from Baseus far more.... I got this from Amazon's Vine program for trips I go on alone, and for that it's fine. But it's so convenient with its separate extension cord that I wish it had more power and could be used for when we're traveling together. To work well for a dual trip, however, it would need probably 50 more watts than the 100W version I received provides. I've thought that with an extra outlet on the end of the extension it would be possible to take a small wall charger and plug it in there to jury rig a more compact and convenient solution...
- Mike2024-07-15Great Station for frequent travelers.
I love this charging station for its versatility and multiple use cases that cover most of my needs. Let's see them all: - Desktop charging station. The device sits on my desk and offers an outlet and 4 USB ports. - I take the charger from the cable and head to the office. I only need the charger because it can simultaneously handle my laptop, phone, and earbuds. No extra chargers are required, only cables. - When I go on a trip, I take the cable to have the same set of ports in my hotel room. Extra kudos for the low-level power indicator; you can keep this device on your nightstand, and it will not burn your retina. Really happy with the device.

The charging brick is so heavy you could do some serious damage throwing it, but even after charging multiple devices it didn't feel hot. If using it as a laptop charger it may be a solid choice but for anything else it's definitely overkill and not worth the weight flying. The 67w may deal with that size/weight issue but I have no idea as I have a 100w. The extension cord appears thick, but it's hard to say for sure without cutting it open. Not sure why they didn't include a ground slot on the socket intended for the charger since most brands keep it for those times you don't use them together.
- Chad2024-06-12Versatile Hybrid Charging
Pros • GaN charging • 2-1 design, extension cord and charger • 3 charging options • 67w PD • Super fast charging 45w • Quality Brand Cons • PD limited to 67w • USB max charge is 5w • No surge protection Overall (4.8 stars) Baseus makes quality products with lots of product accessory options. This is a unique and universal hybrid charging option. Versatility is what this product is all about. -3 USB C charging ports -1 USB A charging port -Act as an extension cord with the ability to plug in another device -Removable plug wall charger -It serves a lot of use cases, as a home, travel, and work charging solution. My Use Case (Office) • 5 ft cord is great for using this on my desk • Second AC outlet for other desktop devices (monitor, dock, etc.) • Can charge up to 4 devices if needed • Detachable charger so I can quickly unplug it and use for on the go as a charger, while still using it as an extension cord on my desk with the second AC outlet GaN chargers are great because they don’t get as hot as traditional chargers. It is a universal charger because it offers max charging of 67w via one port or you can split the 60 watts across the 3 USB C ports. The USB A port is good for charging earbuds or a smart watch. This is a go anywhere solution with a great value to price point.
- Jeffer2024-07-07Handy high-power USB charger with an AC convenience outlet
I am using this product tucked under a small shelf on my desk, and I like that it provides several USB-C high-power outlets (and a USB-A socket), along with a convenient AC power outlet for plugging other items in temporarily (which I do quite often at my desk). The cord is a sufficient length to reach a power outlet under my desk, and it has a nice weight to it to keep it in place (the cord won't pull it back toward the edge of my desk where it drops over the edge). The only thing I would suggest as a feature in a new version would be a second AC outlet on the side of the power cord end that the USB module plugs into. Overall I am very happy with the product.
- Chris D2024-06-14Really love the design, the separate power cable with extra outlet is awesome, but...
...it's a heavy brick of a charger! Nothing I would want to pack into my travel bag! I have been looking around for a USB-C charger which is compact, multiple ports, 100-140w and has a detachable cord - the Baseus totally caught my eye with it's design and the power cord with the extra outlet was a huge plus. Don't get me wrong, this is a decent 100w charger with 3 USB-C and 1 USB-A port in a small, compact design and it works as expected, full 100w with one port and steps down when multiple ports are in use. But it is a charger I would keep on my desk, table or nightstand where it is stationary... the charger itself is notable heavier than any of my other 100w chargers - this is not travel material, at least for me as I want to keep weight down. Another downside is that the charger itself just plugs into the cord's outlet - I wished Baseus had added a clip or mechanism to secure the charger to the cable, I noticed that these two parts come apart a little too easy - exposing the plug's electrical prongs. Here a quick weight comparison between the Baseus and my other 100w chargers: - Ravpower 100w USB C charger 5.6oz / 160g - EHO 100w USB C charger 6.8oz / 194g - Baseus 100w 11.05oz / 312g (--> only the 100w charger) and it's power cable with outlet: 7.25oz / 206g
- C J Spencer2024-07-03Fast versatile charging - but heavy
The Baseus 100W charging station with it's 5-ft extension cord is a great upgrade from the GaN chargers that plug directly into the wall. Like most of the high-powered multi-port chargers, this one sticks out from the outlet so easy to knock off. The extension cord eliminates that. I like how the charging block can be used by itself when you have a solid spot for it, with the power strip then available separately with its two outlets. But two issues keep me from giving it 5 stars: the plug on the charger itself doesn't fold and the weight is over 1 lb. That said, 100W GaN power is excellent and the modular design is a bonus. I expect to use my new Baseus Power Combo a lot.
