- Brent Lancaster2024-06-24I can only remember so many number!
Got this for work. Have had over a year. Only recharged a handful of times. Work doesn't love I switched their number lock for this but I've a traditional lock for the gym. We all also have another 10 segments of numbers the World makes us keep in mind. Im not a robot-- that's too many numbers. This saves me from brain failure and makes getting in and out of work a snap or press of the finger.

Update ** Excellent customer service. They helped me right away. We have tried and tried and it never worked!
- A2024-04-25Easy to use, fast unlock, long battery life, quick to charge, app support to unlock.
Charges fast, may need to use original wire not all USB C cables work. App unlock can help check battery level remote unlock, I keep mine in a ziplock bag when not in use just to prevent scratches to fingerprint surface, good for the gym. Great if you have difficulty with, locks good for moms/dads/grandparents. This is not a secure lock by any means but it’s also not designed to be.

Let me start by saying this product was exactly what I was looking for and at first it worked as expected, but ultimately it failed me in a big way. I use a padlock almost everyday, when I go to my gym. I am getting older so seeing the dials on a combination padlock became a problem. I started using a keyed lock instead, but hated having to carry the key around with me. This fingerprint padlock seemed to be the answer; and it was, for a while. I started to notice that after my workout, after my shower, the sensor wouldn't always pick up my fingerprint. If I waited a little while, and dried off my fingers and the lock, it would eventually recognize the pattern and open the lock. The first time it happened it worried me but I got used to that was how it worked. (Incidentally, I had coded multiple fingers/fingerprints onto the lock, just to be safe, and none would be recognized when this happened.) I checked the battery on the lock, to make sure it was not running down, and it showed the charge was over 90%, even after a month and a half in service, which I thought was awesome. Last night, however, after my workout, the lock wouldn't open, and the sensor indicator lights stopped lighting up. I tried all of my tricks and nothing worked, the lock would not respond. Adding to the problem, I had worked out late and my club was closing. I waited about 5 minutes, trying the lock, unsuccessfully, on and off. Finally, I was forced to walk through the club with a towel wrapped around me, to go to the front desk, to get something I could cut the lock off with. This was 5 minutes before closing. I had to cut the lock so that I could get into my locker, where all of my clothes, wallet, mobile phone, and car keys were. You see the problem. The lock is now ruined and useless. When I got home I tried the sensor again, and it worked fine, i.e., it recognized my fingerprint and the lights indicted the lock would have unlatched, had it not been broken off. The perfect solution for such a technology would be to have a backup/override solution for if/when the biometric/fingerprint functionality doesn't work. Perhaps a combination override that could be used instead. That would provide the convenience of being able to use the fingerprint technology most of the time, with the peace of mind of having another way to open the lock should the fingerprint technology fail. It is a very helpless feeling when the lock you depend on fails and you have no other option then to destroy it to get to the stuff it was supposed to protect. Ultimately I cannot recommend this product. I found that it just couldn't be trusted.
- steve butland2024-05-23Nice if you don't need a heavy duty lock.
Easy to program. Fingerprint pad is a little touchy if finger is not perfectly placed on the pad in the manner in which you registered/programmed your fingerprint on it. You can program more than one user fingerprint so others can use their fingerprint to unlock it. You have to touch the lock pad to "wake up" the lock to use the app. App shows battery charge and will unlock the lock. Remote Unlock via app works really well. No fingerprint required. Has lasted 3 months now on initial charge and still at 98% (lock not used much). This is a light duty lock and just keeps an honest person honest a little longer, but serves it's purpose for light duty use.
- CK2023-10-07Good Battery Life, works as expected, fingerpad needs to be dry
Had this for about 4 months now and use it daily. Once it’s set up it works as advertised. Sometimes you have to reset your finger 2-3 times to get it to open but it’s not a huge hassle. If your finger is wet it doesn’t work great and you have to dry your finger/thumb and the scan surface in order to get it to work. I am in SoCal so it rarely rains here. Battery life is impressive. Only charged it once in 4 months and it probably didn’t even really need that charge. I do wish there was a way for guests to use it like a key option as some other locks have but it hasn’t been an issue for us.

After reading some Amazon reviews, I was hesitant to get this lock. But it has greatly exceeded my expectations. This is not a lock to lock an outside shed, or home. But as a locker lock, to prevent a quick grab and dash at a gym, or a work locker, it is absolutely perfect for me. My old lock had a combo. As my eyesight gets worse, it is difficult for me to read the combo without glasses. Especially in low light. And I don’t want to always wear my glasses. And if I had a locker lock with a key, it’s only a matter of time before I lost the key. Or left it at home. Or left it in my car. This lock unlocks with your fingerprint. You set that up in advance. It actually takes quite a few reads before it confirms your fingerprint. Once confirmed, it seems to unlock the lock quickly. More reliably than the fingerprint scanner on my Galaxy s9+ phone. Yes, you can unlock via Bluetooth too. But you have to ‘turn on’ the lock to connect to Bluetooth. Which means, you need to touch the front of the lock. Might as well use your fingerprint. Although, that’s a great alternative in case you cut your finger, etc. And yes, it does appear to unlock the lock via fingerprint, even if you aren’t connected to Bluetooth. After setting up my finger print, I had several work friends and family members attempt to unlock with their finger prints. So far, no go, except for me. I’ve been using it for about 12 days now and it still shows a 100% charge. It was at 60% when I got it. I’m guessing it will last for a long time without a charge (which can be checked via the phone app). Highly recommended!
- Benny2024-02-05Lasted a year on a full charge and now doesnt connect
I am typing this review a year after purchasing it for those who are curious on this locks performance. I bought this for my locker at work since having to use a combination lock over and over is a pain. This lock connected pretty quick when I bought it and charged pretty quickly. It lasts for about a little more than 6 months on a full charge too which is amazing. Everything was well ok until this past month. I opened the lock and noticed it wouldn't lock back again. I even tried to reconnect it using the app (dbd+ or something) but it wouldn't connect. It reconnected after I plugged it into a wall outlet but I noticed there was no light indicator for when it was charging. I left it to charge for a couple hours before reusing it and it lasted for exactly a week before it had connection issue again. I decided to charge it for a whole day after reconnecting it with the app and even that only lasted about a week and a half. I have read other reviews before buying this which most of them saying their lock started to have connectivity issues after around 9 months. Though it wasnt alot of people so I decided to buy one anyways and now here I am. I will rate all the features 5 out of 5 but the overall rating is a 3 because it only lasted for EXACTLY 1 year for me.
- Brian Medeiros2023-10-30great concept...great customer service
Bought this in January 2023. i chose it as with increasing age came the need for readers to be able to read text and numbers including combination locks. not convenient when at the gym and not using readers. so i stumbled across this fingerprint or App driven lock. set up is very easy. once you fully charge the lock it took 5 minutes to set up both the fingerprint unlocking mechanism and downloading the app and connecting the lock to the app via bluetooth. once set up you can lock or unlock it either way. within the app you have the ability to set up multiple fingerprints to be able to use the lock. also it shows you the battery strength. was really happy. then 9 months later in October 2023 it stopped working. nothing worked. fingerprint didn't work it was no longer linked to the app which was on my phone. went on line to the manufacture website and went through all the troubleshooting hints. nothing worked. couldn't even get it to accept any charging via the USB connection (which is the only charging method). so on the website i reached out to customer service. after couple back and forth emails , with me proving i bought it on amazon they agreed to send me another one even though officially outside there refund window. just got the replacement and intend on sending the broke one back for quality control. so far so good with the new replacement lock. everything mentioned above applied to the replacement lock. will update further if warranted.
- John Duval2024-03-03Maybe not the sturdiest lock but is very quick
Seems like I have to put my thumb on it twice to open, but it is almost like just grabbing it to open. The hasp has no hook, so I wouldn't lock up something too precious with it for fear someone could pry it open. I have it on a cabinet containing my car charging cable in my carport. It is a deterrent for opportunists, but still quick to open.
