These plugs were really easy to connect to the app made for the plugs, and they can be linked to the Amazon Alexa app extremely easy as well. The app allows you to create a schedule for turning on/off, and so far it has worked flawlessly. Great value and great product!!

I have two of these connected to lamps. Being able to tell Siri or Google to turn on the lamps anywhere, anytime, is fantastic. Before connecting these to lamps, I used them for exterior Christmas lights. Just put them on a schedule in the app. Easy peasy! Will have to get more of these.
- Chris R.2021-06-18Works with Alexa, after a couple days.
At first I didn’t think it was going to sync with the Alexa. But after a couple of nights it seems like I did. It does not work with my Insta on system however. So I have to use Alexa specifically for this outlet.
- Alan Randall2024-07-031st smart plug that Alexa was able to link with
I've bought other brands of smart plugs, but I wasn't able to link them to Alexa. Had to use a phone app, which was not as convenient.
- Rolando Martinez2024-06-16Not worth it, don't waste your time
I dislike that you need to download and pay for a program fis this to work., I was not informed about it this. So this is going into the garbage.
- Brian Burke2021-06-01Great little devices, but...
I picked up two of these devices based on their ability to work with dual band networks to replace some older WiFi smart plugs from another vendor. Initially, the setup was quick and easy. Download the Android app, discover the plugs, configure the plugs, add UltraPro to a linked connection with Google Home, and done! The first device took all of 5 minutes start to finish. The second one however was much more of a challenge, but not because of the plug itself, but because of my WiFi. My WiFi is powered by an Asus ZenMax WiFi mesh router with a single satellite router to connect the other end of the house from the main router. I configured both plugs in my front room (closest to the main router) and they both worked fine. Moved one plug to it's permanent home (even closer to the main router) and it worked fine. The second plug was to be furthest from the main router, but very close to the satellite router. Best I can figure is that the satellite router, despite broadcasting both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless bands, was broadcasting something just different enough that I could not utilize the plug in the location I wanted to with the wireless being setup as is. My solution was to enable a Guest WiFi network which only broadcasted at 2.4Ghz, connect my phone to that network, go into the UltraPro app and then I was finally able to add and configure the second plug in the location where it was to stay. It functions correctly through both the app on my phone over the 5Ghz network as well as through my Google Home. While annoying, I do not place blame on the smart plug. This was a challenge with my particular WiFi setup. Hopefully this will help others in the future. We plan to pick up a couple more as well.
- Peter K.2023-01-10I've been waiting for this solution for decades
UltraPro Smart Plug WiFi Outlets replace mechanical timers. For decades, I had 12 "candles" installed in windows in my home. They were controlled by six mechanical timers - the kind that you depress buttons around a circle starting with the time you want the lights to turn on, and ending with the time you want the lights to turn off. The problem with this setup is that setting the current time is difficult to do accurately and with consistency across all six timers...so the lights turn on and off randomly over several minutes. Enter the UltraPro Smart Plug WiFi Outlets. I got rid of the mechanical timers and replaced them with six outlets. I then connected each one to the UltraPro app on my cellphone (via WiFi). After that, I defined a group called "Window Candles" and added each one to the group. I then set an on/off schedule for the group. At the chosen time, all six outlets turned on at approximately the same exact time, and turned off similarly. Works perfectly! I put our live Christmas tree on a seventh outlet and added that one to the group. When it's late at night and we want to turn off the lights on the live tree (to minimize it drying out from the heat of the lights), I can simply go to the app on my cellphone and turn that one off. Brilliant! I highly recommend these outlets.
- Nelson C. Garcia2022-12-05Works but not what I was expecting
The install was a breeze and they do work with the vendor app. The plugs are a bit too large to fit two in a standard 2-gang US power outlet. So 1 plug pet outlet. If a plug is pulled from the outlet while the app shows it is powered, the app will continue to show it as powered and online until it is plugged back in and cycled on/off. So the app is not totally reliable at indicating the status of the plugs. Despite what some have reported, these do not integrate with Home Assistant. I believe some people are confusing Home Assistant with Google Assistant.
- Luke in AL2022-12-11Only one will fit in a standard dual outlet
I just got these, a two pack. They're easy to set up, although you'll likely have to plug them in somewhere close to your router, in order to connect them to your network. I had to plug mine in in the kitchen. When I removed it and moved it into my room where it will be used, it was still connected to the network. Using the app is easy. I set my new vivarium LED strip to come on at 6am and turn off at 6pm. So far, so good. Decent buy, no remorse. I was only disappointed by the fact that you can only use one per outlet, once you do the other receptacle is too covered up to be used for anything else. Big downside there. These would be better used in a power strip, imo.
- Brian M2024-01-28Does not work with all wifi routers and requires separate app
This worked more or less as expected for a month despite a tedious setup process. Need to download the UltraPro app and connect to Alexa, not terrible but not ideal. I replaced my standard Verizon Fios router with the Asus AX5700 and the UltraPro plug stopped working. Support walked me through a couple different manual setup procedures, nothing worked. They told me the network has to broadcast on 2.4GHz, I told them it broadcast both but that I connected their device to the 2.4 network. One of the two plugs completely failed. They sent me replacement plugs but the brand was called Enbrighten. They looked exactly like the original UltraPro but required that I download an entirely new app to perform the installation - very annoying. Same problem as before, could not get the plugs to connect. Going to trash these and get the standard Amazon branded plugs that are more expensive but likely don't require a separate app to use.
