With stuffy noses this past winter, humidifiers were a must to get some sleep. I bought one, and loved it so much I bought a second one the next day. The light feature is great for kids - the transition colors are awesome, and it's a great night light. The hum is soft and not annoying. It's easy to fill, easy to clean, and easy to use.

The LEVOIT Humidifier has become an indispensable addition to my dorm room. In the often dry environment of college dorms, it's been a breath of fresh air, quite literally. What I absolutely love about this humidifier is its ability to effortlessly maintain the ideal humidity level in my room. Thanks to advanced sensors, it ensures that I wake up without that all-too-familiar dry, scratchy throat. Plus, it operates with a whisper-quiet hum, rated at ≤ 30dB, which is perfect for dorm rooms where peace and quiet are golden. I can run it all night without it disturbing my sleep or study sessions. One of its standout features is its long-lasting performance. With a runtime of up to 60 hours, I only need to refill it every 3 days or so. This not only saves me time but also ensures that my room remains comfortable without constant monitoring and refilling. The LEVOIT Humidifier offers a range of smart features that I've come to appreciate. It adapts to my daily routine with different modes: morning aromatherapy, Auto Mode during family time, Plant Mode for my indoor greenery, and Sleep Mode for peaceful nights. And if I'm ever out or busy, I can conveniently control and monitor it from my phone. Refilling the humidifier is a breeze, thanks to the 1-Step top refill design. It's a thoughtful addition that prevents any mess and eliminates the need to move the humidifier around. From a health perspective, using distilled or purified water is recommended (however I have been using tap water), and there are replacement filters available to extend the humidifier's life. And for those looking to enhance the atmosphere further, aroma pads are an option. In conclusion, the LEVOIT Humidifier has transformed my dorm room into a comfortable, healthy oasis. It's efficient, silent, and incredibly easy to use. If you're in a dry environment or simply looking to improve your living space, I wholeheartedly recommend this humidifier. It's been a dorm room essential for me, and I couldn't be happier with its performance!
- Steve in STL2024-02-25I love them. Had an issue and quickly resolved by company. Great customer service too.
I purchased 4 of the 300S and one of the 600S. The 600S was for the primary Livingroom. It says that it covers up to 753 sf3. I knew it was outmatched, but I have it in a wide open area that is 1,700 sf of open space with 17ft ceilings. While it never quite shuts off, it does a great job raising the humidity level from approximately 20% to 50%+/-. I set it at a 55% maximum. Keep in mind, this is a huge space, much larger than advertised, and it overall does a great job. The rooms feels so much more comfortable. The 300s are for each bedroom and it does an excellent job. They are each more comfortable. These units are great. I hate low humidity but also was afraid of mold and other problems with too much humidity. They all automatically turn on and off when it reaches the prescribed humidity level, and keep it within range. They are easily set with the app. I am glad I purchased them and highly recommend them. I did have an issue with the 600S. It worked great for 2 days, and then started leaking. Luckily I noticed it right away so I could address it. otherwise It could have caused damage to my wood floors. Before I could even write the company for a replacement, they emailed me to see if I was satisfied. I told them about the leak and they quickly sent me another one with a return shipping package to return the old one. I got it within a couple days and have been using the new one for about a month without issues. Every product has bad apples. They have a great product and even better customer service. I would definately purchase from them again.
- Fadi Shamaan2023-03-24The Cadillac of Humidifiers with Top-Fill Feature, Smart App, and Voice Control
If you're in the market for a humidifier, let me tell you, you can't go wrong with the LEVOIT Humidifier. Not only does it work like a charm, but it also has some fantastic features that make it the Cadillac of humidifiers. First off, let's talk about the size. This thing is perfect for large rooms, so if you're trying to humidify a small closet, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you're like me and you need something to cover a lot of square footage, this is the humidifier for you. One thing I absolutely love about this humidifier is the top-fill feature. It's so much easier than having to unscrew the bottom and fill it up from there. With the LEVOIT, you simply remove the lid and pour in your water. It's that simple. But wait, there's more! This humidifier also doubles as an essential oil diffuser. I love adding a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus to the water and letting it fill my bedroom with a delightful scent. It's like having a spa in my own home! Now let's talk about the smart app and voice control. Yes, you read that right. You can control this humidifier with your voice! I feel like I'm living in the future every time I tell Alexa to turn on my humidifier. Plus, the app allows you to set your desired humidity level and even track the humidity levels in your room over time. Talk about high-tech! And if you're worried about noise, fear not. This humidifier has a quiet sleep mode, so you can leave it running all night without it disturbing your slumber. In fact, I find the white noise it produces to be quite soothing. Overall, I highly recommend the LEVOIT Humidifier. It's powerful, convenient, and even a little bit fancy with all its high-tech features. So go ahead and treat yourself (and your plants and baby) to a little extra moisture in the air. You won't regret it! 1. Choose the right size: Make sure to choose a humidifier that is the right size for the room. A unit that is too small will not be effective, while one that is too large can lead to excess moisture and mold growth. 2. Use distilled water: Using distilled water in your humidifier can help prevent mineral buildup and bacteria growth. 3. Clean regularly: Regular cleaning is important to prevent bacteria and mold growth. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and disinfecting your humidifier. 4. Change filters: If your humidifier has a filter, make sure to change it regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions. 5. Control humidity levels: Use a hygrometer to measure the humidity levels in the room and adjust the humidifier accordingly. A humidity level of 30-50% is generally recommended. 6. Use the right type of water: Depending on the type of humidifier you have, you may need to use a specific type of water. For example, ultrasonic humidifiers may require demineralized water. 7. Place in a safe location: Make sure to place your humidifier in a safe location, away from electrical outlets and other hazards. Also, keep it out of reach of children and pets. 8. Use essential oils safely: If you want to add essential oils to your humidifier, make sure to use ones that are safe for use with humidifiers and follow the manufacturer's instructions. 9. Empty the tank when not in use: If you are not using your humidifier for an extended period of time, make sure to empty the tank and clean it thoroughly before storing. 10. Use as directed: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance of your humidifier to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Anthony & Kayla2024-06-15Love it
This humidifier is great. Honestly I love the levoit brand, their items are all high quality and great value. This humidifier has smart sensing technology that monitors the humidity levels of your room and in auto mode will naturally increase humidity when the level gets too low. It can sense the humidity levels extremely quickly, I was very surprised how accurate and effective it works. It is a bit large and requires more space on night stand. It is practically silent, sometimes i forget it’s on unless I hear the water trickling when the level gets low. It is durable and easy to refill. It hold a decent amount of water, if it’s full and I leave it on low it won’t be empty for like 2-3 days running all day. Although I live in a humid climate, the central air running all day long really drys out your sinuses. I was having pain in my nose at night before bed. I realized I needed the comfort of a humidifier! Definitely recommend
- Katherine H. Spicer2024-02-11Awesome humidifier, imperfect for cleaning - Review after 3 years of ownership
The 300S really is an excellent humidifier and a great value; my only disappointment is it isn't quite as easy to clean as advertised, as there are parts of the humidifier than remain inaccessible (and have pink mold on them) that drive me a little nuts. This thing really packs a punch for humidification - on a high setting, it can really humidify a space significantly. It's even set off my daughter's smoke alarm because of how misty it made the room, ha. It also holds more water than it looks - I live in a very dry climate and on a relatively high setting (target 54% RH in our roughly 15-20% RH home) we get two full nights out of it. The only disappointment has been the cleaning - I read many reviews before purchasing saying how easy it is to clean, how accessible everything is, etc. etc. and all I can say is there must be some really hard to clean humidifiers out there if this is one of the easiest. I've included a photo of its condition after more than 2 years of use, and you can see there is some mineral buildup at the black seal in the base and around the bottom of the mist tube, but, I also don't bother with distilled water and supplement with little 'cleaning fish' (https://a.co/d/6TQEFNb) to help with mineral buildup. So after two years, it's not terrible and mostly on me for not wanting to buy distilled water ;) My real beef is with the mist tube - there's an impossibly narrow and distant part near the base and I have yet to find a cleaning brush narrow and long enough to clean the pink mold out that forms between the tube and its little insert. I've honestly considered buying a waterpik just to 'powerwash' the thing; my kitchen faucet sprayer on max isn't strong enough to blast it off. There aren't many parts to take apart when cleaning but I actually wish it broke down into more so I could access that thing. The other trouble with cleaning is - at least per the instructions - you do a 15-minute soak with 3 cups or vinegar, and then a second 15-minute soak for two small pieces that you just soaked already. So if you're following the instructions, you're married to a 30 minute+ cleaning session. I generally do the first soak, then dump the same vinegar back into the measuring cup with the two small pieces in it, and start cleaning the tank and base while those sit there. I rarely have the patience to wait out the next 15 minutes, but it's still about a 25+ minute job in the end. I use a baby brush and the longest, narrowest wire brush I can find in addition to the small 'looped' brush to clean all the nooks and crannies. Keeping gallons of vinegar stocked for this is a bit of a bummer too. Now all that said - per above this thing REALLY works, which is huge. It's also got just about any feature a person would want out of a humidifier - it has Bluetooth capability with an app but you can also work the intuitive controls without one. You can add essential oils in a little absorbent pad that lives in a small 'drawer' if that's your thing. It's got an optional timer, an optional nightlight, low/medium/high and auto mode and you can set the desired %RH with an app. I believe the hygrometer is on the bottom, so if you've just cleaned it and it gets wet it may be a little out of whack that night. And it's surprisingly quiet. Even if this cost a lot more it would still be an excellent value - my cleaning neuroses aside, it's an excellent appliance and has lasted us three years and still works great, despite my not using any distilled water. Just be prepared for the cleaning. ;)

- Zach2023-12-05Great humidifier - as long as it doesn't leak!
Let me start off by saying that we have two of these. One we got over a year ago for our sons room - and it works great! We've never had an issue with it. Easy to clean, easy to schedule, and the nightlight is a nice touch. We even got a Levoit LV600S for our bedroom. So we're not new to Levoit humidifiers. We just had our second son (9 weeks old now) and wanted to get a humidifier for his room - it was an easy choice since we really liked the one that was in our sons room. Well, we've had it for about a month and it leaks from the base constantly. Its a fairly slow leak, but it overflows the base and has caused water damage to the table it was on. It soaked the carpet because we didn't realize it right away. Its like the little silicone valve in the bottom of the tank doesn't seal properly, or the flapper in the base is causing the valve to open more than it should, or open when it shouldn't. I don't know. Its a brand new unit, perfectly clean inside - so its not an issue with that. I really don't know why its leaking but I've reached out to the company and am still waiting to hear back. EDIT: updated from 1 star to 3 stars because I finally heard back from Levoit and they are sending a replacement unit. I'll report back once it arrives. EDIT 2: Our replacement humidifier arrived! But.... they sent a LV600S instead of the 300S that we originally purchased. I'm going to assume they chose to ship us an "upgraded" model because I was very clear about the model that was leaking - they even requested a picture of the bottom label showing the model number. That sounds great, because the LV600S is arguably a nicer model with its heating feature, but it lacks the night light feature of the 300S - which was one of the reasons we selected the 300S to begin with. So we'll keep the replacement humidifier, but I think its strange that the swapped them on us. Either way, A+ for Levoit customer service - they were prompt in sending a new unit to us.
- phami2024-01-11LOVE Humidifier, only wish it covered more area
This is one of my FAVORITE purchases, I have two currently. It is January, I bought one in middle of November, then bought another in end of November and they are both still working. I live in the Midwest, St. Louis, MO, and I am assuming the air here is pretty dry around winter based on the readings on the humidifiers. This is a review on 6L that connects to phone apps. One humidifier does not raise my classroom humidity beyond about 24-30% max. There has been one day out of the last three months that I've been able to raise it to about 40-50%. But, also keep in mind that my classroom uses a window air conditioner (brings in air from outside), and I need too keep my windows open many times to combat the two large radiators in the room that make the classroom feel like it's over 90 degrees and cannot be turned off by the teacher/classroom. The door to my room remains shut during classes. The building might also just be super dry. I close the windows and door at night and turn off the air conditioner to see if that would help trap in the humidity and help the humidifier, yet it still floats from 24-26% in evenings (but I LOVE that I can track it from home from my app, even when not in the same WiFi as the humidifier!). So I do have to fill the tank quite frequently throughout the day and usually have to restart with low humidity on Monday since it empties after almost a day or less of continuous work. I bought a second humidifier, meant to help with the first one in the classroom but it ended up staying in my bedroom. I might try moving it to the classroom eventually or buy a third. In my bedroom, it floats between 30-40% humidity. When I brought home the school humidifier during winter break, I used two in my bedroom and the room easily got to 50-55% humidity with much less water refillings. Since going back to one humidifier in the bedroom, I usually need to add water daily as well and it tries its best to get to 40-45%. Once again, St. Louis air might just be really dry now, although I believe my house is much less dry than the school and much more insulated with air vents in the house and no window AC units pulling in outside air. It is still a super strong humidifier, I LOVE looking at the app for updates on levels (it's like a game for me), but I don't think it's meant for like HUGE areas like other reviewers mentioned (and I didn't expect it to be). My bedroom is not as small as a dorm room, but not a huge bedroom either, my classroom is a good space but not as big as other music classrooms at other schools (it used to be the teacher's lounge). I think a dorm room would be the perfect size for this! My kitchen at home was also able to stay at a good consistent 45% humidity pretty fast when trying it there for an hour or two (with no doors separating the kitchen from the rest of the house). I didn't expect/want to buy more than one but I do love the product and it does work really well and none have broken yet. Plus, I haven't gotten seriously sick since using them, and my throat is thanking me for the slight relief in dryness during the school day. It really is paying for itself so far, I will try my best to update my review if they ever break like other reviewers mentioned. I might consider buying a third if the price ever goes down, although it just raised and I'm not yet sure if adding another humidifier will help or just make me need to do more canteen runs between the water fountain and humidifier to fill it up. So I cannot validate spending more on my classroom for it just yet, but we'll see since I'm already thinking about it again!
- TC2020-07-23We Went With The Classic 200 4L Model Instead
This is our second LEVOIT humidifier. Our first one was great, but we recently loaned it to a friend who needed a humidifier for her sick puppy, but she accidently broke it because she got water in the electronics when she moved it with water in the basin and obviously fried it. The issue has been addressed with newer models to make it difficult for water to enter the electronics. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE CLASSIC 100 2.4L AND THE CLASSIC 200 4L MODELS I figure since we were buying a new humidifier why not upgrade however, I was on the fence about which size, so I purchased the Classic 100 2.4L model and the Classic 200 4L model. Both models have three settings, low, medium, and high. Basically, the differences between the two models aside from the obvious amount of water that can be stored in the basin is the fact that the Classic 100 2.4L model has a white LED light that lights up the colored water basin and the Classic 200 4L model allows individuals to use aroma therapy oil. Additionally, the Classic 200 4L model is marketed for larger rooms whereas the Classic 100 2.4L is marketed for slightly smaller rooms. As I mentioned we purchased and tried both models for one evening. Both models are perfectly quiet and both models visually expel the same amount of humidity cloud on high mode. The Classic 100 2.4L model only lasted a few hours on high mode whereas the Classic 200 4L model lasted about eight hours on high mode. WHY WE CHOSE THE SELECTED MODEL Our decision to purchase is not about a night light or the ability to diffuse aroma therapy oil. We chose the Classic 200 4L model because of run time and ability to put humidity back in the environment. Even if you have a smaller room, I suggest going with the Classic 200 4L model. You’re not going to notice the difference in humidity between the two models because they are small non-commercial humidifiers. You could check the humidity level with a humidity tester, but I surmise there will be little to no difference between the two models. The Classic 200 4L model will provide longer run time and you will be happier for taking this advice. I only suggest going with the Classic 100 2.4L model is if space is an issue. CLEANING Humidifiers do not smell! Like anything, clothes, dishes etc. you need to clean them. If you don’t, chances are they too will start to smell at some point. It’s a simple process to clean a humidifier. I put a couple drops of dish detergent in the water basin and put the lid back on and shake for a few moments, and then empty the soapy contents and rinse until all the soap suds are gone. I wipe down the water basin holder. NOTE: never submerge anything electrical in water because it’s dangerous especially if it is plugged in – so unplug when cleaning. Let everything dry and it will be ready for use when you come back to it. I clean our humidifier after each use because it only takes a few moments to clean it. If you feel a need to, follow the cleaning instructions that accompany the humidifier. Whatever works best for you. ****** Please let me know if this review was helpful by clicking the “Helpful” button below***** THANK YOU!
