I own a couple of cameras of same brand (wansview), so i know i was getting a trustworthy product and I wasn't wrong. The highlight of this camera is that you get basically 360 degree of coverage, which is what i needed. I mounted it on a corner of my house so i can get full coverage of the backyard. The cam works via wifi or ethernet, but I think is more easy just use the wifi (2.4ghz only), the unit is very sturdy and it's water proof, so rain isn't a worry. the package includes all the basic you need to mount it to a wall, includes a power adapter as well. Setup is very easy, basically you just download the app from the store, create and account (free) and add and manage your cams within the app. The camera has nice features like motion detection, which you can adjust sensitive, area of detection and set and schedule if you want for example, be alerted of any movement only at night. From the app you also access to live stream, and rotate the view to your liking. The camera and app works as expected, you get a notification on your phone alerting your from any movement, you get unlimited number of alerts and a 10 sec clip for every event. This is free and if you need longer videos you could either use a micro SD card or get a subscription. This is what i like, that you aren't forced to purchase a subscription for getting all the functions of your purchase. Video quality is very good, and also has night vision which works really well too, i can't complain. Remember that it has 2 way audio, so you can use it like an intercom which is very handy. If you need to have a good and reliable cam for home surveillance this is a great option, the 360 coverage is a major plus, nice video quality and stability of the connection, and the best, all these features for an affordable price makes this a winner.

Excellent picture quality, easy to install. It's convenient to be able to move the lens with your phone from anywhere and the sound quality is good. The siren sound option makes it great for security, it's also very sturdy. Customer support is knowledgeable, nice and quick to respond with help.

I bought four of these cameras and have been using them for about four months. They are a great value for the price and meet my needs well. Daytime picture quality is good (not really high resolution but good enough for my needs). Night vision is quite good as well. I can control pan/tilt from the Android App easily and setup was easy. My only complaint is the Windows App for the camera. Sometimes I want to monitor the cameras on my laptop in my office. But the Windows App for this camera does not allow you to look at recordings (the Android App does). So if an alarm gets activated while I am at my laptop, I have to go to the phone to take a look at what happened. I wish they would fix the Windows App to be able to view recording. May 9 2022. have been using the cameras for a few months now. cameras work fine in terms of daytime and night time vision and clarity of pictures. However, supporting infrastructure is problematic. Windows app still does not allow me to view recordings (you can only view recordings from a phone). And for the last two weeks, my windows app will not let me log into the server to view livestream video - it keeps saying "server busy try again". I don't know what the problem is. Also be aware that this camera works only on 2GHz band. if your router is dual band (2/5GHz), sometimes the camera gets confused and can hang up. then you have to reset. April 21 2023. The camera works well. However, the company does not make clear that you can only view the images/videos from your phone (Android or IOS). They used to have a windows app, but it does not work any more. Also, over the last two months, their server has failed for extended periods of time. So you cannot view images on your phone either during those times. April 23 2023. Just upgraded my rating from three to four stars. I am quite impressed with their technical and customer support. Two days ago, when all my cameras stopped working, i suspected a server problem at their end and notified them. They got back this morning saying the server problem has been fixed, and yes the cameras are working fine now. Things can always go wrong, but I greatly appreciate the company's prompt attention to the problem and taking care of it.

I have purchased several of these units over the last few years and this W9 was another great addition to my collection. I own W4, W6, and now the W9. The W9 is a little bigger of a unit than the W4 and W6 but that is only because it is a PTZ. I have found that anywhere I would have mounted it in place of a W4 or W6, it would still fit and work perfectly. This unit does have a SD card slot. (128GB). You also have the option to use Wansview cloud service as well. Right now, I am just using the SD card option and it is working very well for me. I currently have it located in a high traffic area with a 64GB card and I am getting right at 25 days’ worth of recordings. Not too bad in my opinion. There are some new features with the PTZ that I am very impressed with. Not only is it a PTZ, you can have preset views so you don't always have to use the the little joystick in the app to look around if you want. (Please see attached pick). The other thing that I have found is the picture quality doesn't seem to distort or have picture blurring when the camera is in motion. Not bad for an inexpensive camera. I hope soon they will add auto track when it comes to people and other motion. Another great feature about the Wansview line is the range in the camera for WiFi. My furthest camera is a little over 105ft from the nearest AP and I don't have issues staying connected. My neighbor has one about 10ft past mine, one his own network, and his also works just fine as well. I was worried that one or both of us would have issues being so close to each other and using 2 different WiFi's there would be drops or disconnections. That is not the case at all! Other things that I like about the Wansview line of products is the App and features they have put together over the last several months. There is now 2FA with the app and finger print does work with the app. They have also added 4 camera grid views to the mix as well. Right now, I have 3 different grids setup to view at any time. The app has also come a long way since my very first camera. I am not saying the app was bad but the ease of use is amazing! I have my parents’ setup with some units and the app and they love it!! This is a camera would be a great addition to anyone ones collection!!

Im using 1 of these for my house to cover my drive way. I have even recommended this to another person. It dose have a nice wide view and decent night vision. It will record about a 10 second clip on motion but unless you want to pay for cloud service you only get a 10 second snip of the motion. this is capable of taking a micro sd card but not for constant recording and was supposed to be able to take a direct line with poe but didn't seem to have any luck with that but lets face it if your looking this up you just want to plug it in and walk. If your looking for something with recording you may want to find a system with an NVR with it but for quick peeping in on stuff or to record it directly to your phone while viewing this will do the job. Night vision and camera quality are good 4 stars on that but as a camera i think it should be able to give you a bit more recording power without a monthly fee. Had to dock a star for

I have several of these cameras and I have had very few issues with them. The Pan-Tilt is very useful for my situation as I need to be able to see at least 180 degrees. The installation was very easy, although I had been through the process several times. The quality is good as is the user interface. Only issue I have had is the camera kept going offline. I would reset the network connection and the camera would work for a week or so before going offline. I called support and new firmware was downloaded to camera. It has now been about 6 weeks and the camera has not gone offline since. As I mentioned earlier, I have 6 of these cameras and would recommend them.

I have 4 of Wansview cameras, 2 outside 2 inside. Very easy to set up and use. Was loving it until for about 8months and then 1 of the outside cameras stopped connecting to internet. It had power but would not connect. I was like, oh boy, here we go, I’m going to spend a bunch of time trying to get a replacement under warranty. I was wrong! I sent a email to Wansview explaining the problem. The next day I got an email back asking me to check a couple things, that didn’t work. They asked for my order # and address and Boom! Sent me a new camera. Great job Wansview!

The camera had some initial issues where it would freeze after 2-3 hours and require a power cycle to start recording again. Support was very helpful and was able to resolve this with a firmware update. The camera worked well since then and continued to work for 2 years with only the occasional (every 2-3 weeks) freeze where the camera would become unresponsive until power cycled. It died after 2 years but while it was operational it worked as expected 95% of the time.
