UPDATE: Five months in and I wanted to give a quick update that I am still in love with this product. I have had no issues at all and couldn't recommend a better auto-feeder. The app works great, the portions and timing are still perfect, I even had a chance to see it work off the backup batteries when the power went out during a thunderstorm and it went off without a hitch. The bowl clicks right out of the front for easy cleaning too. Stop searching and just buy it! ORIGINAL: My kitty previously had a bowl that allowed her to graze. She’d always been a grazer since I adopted her, even the shelter told me she didn’t have a regular schedule. Unfortunately, this led to her becoming overweight, so I decided it was time to shift to an auto feeder to help her lose some of those extra pounds. The feeder itself seems durable and overall looks nice and sleek. The setup was extremely easy, I had no issues getting it plugged in, connected to my app, and programmed. The instruction book was helpful for the few questions I had and it took me only about 20 minutes to get it set up and filled to start using. It requires three D batteries for backup in case the power goes out and they’re not included - so be aware you will also want to buy batteries with this purchase. The feeder easily dispenses my Iams brand kitty food and in the few weeks I’ve had this feeder have never experienced a jam. It dispenses perfectly on time and the correct amount of food each time. The portions vary based on what food you use so I recommend testing it a few times before finishing setup to ensure the right amount of food will be released with each feeding time. I simply dispensed different portions and put them into a measuring cup to see what was correct. The top is 6 liters so it holds plenty of food. I filled it to the top and it’s been about 2-3 weeks and it’s still got plenty of food in it. I like that the bowl is plastic not metal as well, so the falling food is not too noisy. As of now my kitty loves it. I didn’t set it to make any noise when dispensing but as soon as she hears the food fall into the dish she takes off, so I’m happy. She already appears to be losing some weight and her fur has even become softer with a regular feeding schedule. I’m very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this feeder.
- mark sandoval2024-06-16This automatic feeder has been game changing!
Exactly as the title says; this automatic feeder has been a game changer in our household. It’s been convenient to have our dog on a cycle, especially when we’re not home to constantly leave big bowls out. It’s been amazing. We bought a different one prior at petco and it was a terrible experience and not user friendly at all. This specific model has an APP that will connect to your phone. After 5 minutes of setting up and reading through the owners Manual - I had the portions and feed times selected and ready. It’s sleek, affordable and DURABLE. We connected it to the wall and decided to buy a cable protector for extra protection. He has not missed breakfast, lunch or dinner with this devices. It’s small, so you can tuck it away in a corner and looks luxurious enough to be passed off as a humidifier. Would highly recommend!

I had a previous version from Wopet that worked great for over 4 years, so when it died, I went to this one. Purchased in November, and really liked the integration with the app, giving me alerts when food was low. It is a fairly small food dish, so for my dog I would regularly get messages saying it couldn't dispense all of the food because the food tray was full. Not a big deal, as I figured he was getting enough with twice a day feedings, which were all very simple to schedule via the app. Problem was that getting so many notices, I kinda stopped paying attention and just checked occasionally to see if I was getting a low food warning. Fast forward 3 months and I realize I have 4 days of alerts saying the feeder is jammed and realize my dog hasn't been getting his food. I empty out the hopper, everything seems fine, but the motor doesn't work right. Food is not jammed, and it can easily turn but seems like it is attempting to turn to dispense food, but fails and gives error that it is jammed, even if there is no food in the hopper. I understand that electronics wear out over time, but after only 3 months, this must be defective. I can't seem to find out how to contact support other than going through Amazon, and the return window ended last week :( I liked this feeder enough that I have ordered another one to hopefully have a better experience and see if I can get more than 3 months. New unit will arrive today. Editing after a great experience with WOPET support. After writing the previous review, I reached out to support and they were very easy to work with. Sent me a new unit. No problems with the replacement after a month and now I have a spare. I really do like this feeder and how easy it is to use, along with the notifications letting me know if there are problems. Great feeder overall

This feeder operates nicely, looks good, app is easy to use, but the speaker is awful. I bought this to replace an old worn out feeder and was hoping to replicate the “cat call” for my Daisy girl. Needless to say, we were both terrified when the recording replayed. Overall it is a good feeder, but don’t expect any type of clarity from the speaker!
- Colleen Shibley - Shibley Smiles2024-06-29It is a Must Have For Pet Owners
I first purchased this feeder because my son was moving out with his dog and I wanted to make sure he (the dog) was fed timely. I then purchased a second one because our cat needed to lose a little weight so I needed to control her portions. I've had it for 3+ years and it works as great as it did the first day. I love that it is controlled by an app on my phone. It is so easy to set up a schedule and feed our cat the correct portions. It also shows the history of the feeding so you can make sure your pet was fed correctly. It also will send a notification if the food is getting low or if there is a malfunction. Benefits & features of the automatic feeder for dogs or cats: * Great for when you are away from the home * Perfect for portion control * Keep your pets on a timely feeding schedule * Easy use from the app, can be controlled remotely * Backup battery if the power should go out My mother noticed it at our home about a year ago and purchased her own. She loves that her two cats are now fed at the same time and she can control their portions.
- BigAl2021-07-25Easy Wi-Fi setup, consistent portion control, works during Wi-Fi and power outages
Just got this yesterday. Very easy to setup except for password, for some reason it took several times to allow me to enter a password, it finally allowed me to type it in after leaving it sit waiting for password entry for a couple of minutes then a red cursor appeared to the left and I was able to enter the password. Besides the password issue everything else was simple. We feed our 22lb adult dog 1/3 cup of Sams Club Member mark Salmon & Pea dry kibble twice a day. Measured out the portion size and 5 servings = 1/3 cup. After filling the feeder bin and priming it with a couple of manual feeds I ran a test to ensure portion control. I ran 20 programed meals of 5 servings. Each came out to be the same size of 1/3 cup so Im satisfied the portion control is correct. I also tested capacity, this 6L Bin will hold sixty four 1/3 cup servings, for our dog at two servings per day that would be 32 days!! The feeder is powered by a small usb block charger with a usb C to usb MICRO cable. For optional backup power it uses three D cell alkaline batteries not included and will cost you about $8. After I installed the batteries I unplugged the usb then plugged it back in. The programing was retained. Testing with no Wi-Fi and only battery power: I turned off my WI-FI router and unplugged the USB to test if this feeder would work in the case of a power loss. When the next scheduled feeding time arrived the feeder played my pre recorded "time to eat" message then dispensed the correct portion of feed. Cleaning: As its brand new I've only wiped it out the feed bin and washed the easily removable feed tray. The instructions are not really clear on if the feed bin is removable, it looks like it might be but I was unable to do so, did not want to break it by applying too much force. It would be nice if it was removable so cleaning would be a simple removal, wash/dry and return but wiping it out looks like it will work ok too. FEEDING RECORD: In the app its easy to see a history of feedings with time and date, portions and if their was a failure it states Feeding Failure. LOW ON FEED: This feeder also sends you a message and posts on the app when the bin is low on feed. BATTERY LOW: The app also notifies if the 3 D cell batteries are low. I'm impressed, the only down side I see is not actually interacting with my pet at feeding time, however this device along with a auto water dispenser, a doggy door to a fenced yard, a few wi-fi pet cameras and daily visits by good neighbors will allow us to leave our pet at home when we are away.
- Jerry2022-05-08I was about to send this back because I was having such a hard time with internet! Problem solved.
So, we have an outdoor feral cat that has lived on our property for about 4 years. We have never been able to pet her, but she will let us get about 10-15 feet away and talk to her. I don't know how she got here, but my wife has been giving her food and water since the day she showed up. To re-pay our hospitality, she frequently brings us food in the form of dead lizards, mice, even rats and leaves them on the back porch. We wanted to go on vacation a few days here and there, and my wife was frantic with worry over the feral cat (We named her Phantom). Because no one would be here to feed and water her when we are gone I had to solve this problem. The first thing I did was install a google nest camera under the deck. That's where she hangs out and where my wife feeds her. Then I started looking at automatic feeders and watering solutions and came upon this product. I wound up buying all three of the "frequently bought together items" that Amazon always puts under a product. One of those products solved the watering issue (mostly). Did I mention the Raccoons? The Raccoons appear in the night and raid her food and wash their dirty little paws in her water dish. Not cool. Anyway, one of the first reviews I looked at, included a photo of a secure wooden box a man had built to solve the raccoon problem. I built a very similar box, practically copying this man's design (it was very clever). So, box built, camera placed, I set about to activate the Wopet 6L wi-fi feeder and could not connect to the internet. Apparently, this feeder only operates on 2.4 GHz. My modem broadcasts both at 5 GHz and 2.4 Ghz, but you have to manually change it to 2.4 GHz if that is what you want. Most modern modems automatically select 5 GHz due to signal strength. Be aware that if you do change to 2.4, every product you have on your smart phone will need to be reset, major pain. Anyway, after spending several hours trying to solve this, I was ready to send the feeder back and accept defeat. Then, I found a clip on YouTube that solved my problem almost instantly. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0iOz_bHehU) The long and short of it is your modem automatically switches to 2.4 Ghz when you walk out of range of the 5Ghz signal. And so the answer to my problem, walk down the driveway about 200 feet, the phone chimed and "device detected" appeared on the screen. Before you walk away, go through all the steps in the app until you get ready to connect. After you hit the button you have two minutes to get away from your modem and pick up the 2.4 GHz signal. Once connected you are set, it does not dis-connect when you get back in 5 GHz range. Lastly, I mentioned the watering problem being solved mostly. The problem of the paw washing raccoons still exists and the water bottle that came with the "frequently bought together suggestions" only holds about 1.6 liters of water. It gets really hot here in the summer, sometimes over a 100 degrees for multiple days on end. To solve this, I am working on a 10 gallon watering solution using homer buckets with lids from Home depot, Rain drip 1/4 inch drip line with varying connectors to control the speed of the drip, and lastly a piece of PVC pipe cut in half to keep Raccoon paws out of the water. I will update review and include more photos when I complete this project.
- JeanneVB2023-12-05Love it! But it stopped working after 3 months
PROS: Our dog has BVS, which is a condition that makes her vomit up bile when her stomach is empty. So she has to be fed multiple times a day, but we’re busy people. This automatic feeder is amazing! You can program it from an app on your phone. The app also lets you know when the food is running low and tracks that the food was successfully dispensed. So when I’m at work, I can check and make sure. But the best part is the voice message you can create with your own voice to call the dog to eat. Our dog tends to sulk upstairs in our bedroom when we aren’t home, but when she hears my voice coming from the machine, she runs downstairs to eat. It’s absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend it! It’s changed our lives and her life for the better. Very easy to set up the app and record the voice. CONS: It stopped working after only 3 months!!!!! BUT: Customer service was excellent and they send us a new one, as it was under warranty. Hoping this one last more than 3 months. If it goes out again, I'll try a new brand. Crossing my fingers because I REALLY love this feeder.
- FK Dittrich2024-06-17Only 1 issue which was resolved to my satisfaction
A friend has this same pet food dispenser. I decided to purchase what I knew and liked. I liked it right away it arrived. However, I had seen in some videos that the bucket, the part that holds the food was removable from the base, for cleaning. I struggled with this part. I contacted support and they were wonderful. So many times customer support does not seem to really care that they fix your issue. These people did care. I exchanged 4 to 5 emails with them and in the end, I figured it out. The bucket does remove from the base. It is just really strong, which you want so your pet can't tip if over and spill the food. I ended up wrapping my arms around it and pulling and twisting slightly at the same time and it came off. Now I can clean it with ease. I highly recommend this product and this company, Wopet
- NyTex2024-07-04So easy to own, I now have two!
Since my cats can't share and I didn't have the foresight to order a unit with two trays, I bought a second Wopet autofeeder. They are so easy to set up and use! I got my first one about 10 months ago and wasn't sure about tackling setting up unit #2 after a whole day of exhausting work, but it only took me 5 minutes and it worked right away! These are great devices and are so affordable!
